Hello friends!
While I'm sure long since forgotten in the ever dynamic and exciting world of MMO pvp, just thought I'd stop in and say hi again.

Me and a buddy recently bought eve, and astroid mining jokes aside, I'm starting to really enjoy it, this game is about as new unfriendly as they come, and I'm down with that.

This is actually the 3rd time I've given it a try, first time I didn't get much further than 1 mining mission. Second I decided to see what the pvp was like (in a .9 system or something) and was swiftly demolished by the local space police force, but 3rd times the charm and I've been getting kinda hooked.

If any of you have a legit corperation that might have a place for two up and coming space captains, drop me a line!

Other than that TF2 has re-entered my life, that game is good fun.

Stopped playing WoW a ways back, didn't really have much fun anymore, especially compared to ye olden days. lvl 60 nostalgia.

Gaming has really been a small part of my life as of late I'm afraid, replaced by music and recording studios, which has been wayyy too much fun.

I've started producing under my last name 'Rook' and got a release out remixing a badass producer out of New Zealand (Shopliftas) new tune 'Disko'

I gave playing WoW another shot, but it didn't keep my interest.

That horse has been dead a while though, so here's my new mix in case you missed it.

The numbered series I've been doing are my more experimental mixes and generally span a wide range of genres, while my demos tend to be more focused.

This one bumps like no other, so if you dig them jams, definitely grab this.

I'll probably release iso 9.5 soonish too, it was the mix that was originally going to be 9, but I lost interest. But it's still quite badass at around 45-50mins I believe.

Also, I haven't had the time to give this total and complete listen through on my monitors, so if there are any glaring mistakes I might put v2, but I doubt that will be the necessary.

Why 'elo thar gameriot, n'gooday to you.

I guess that whole content coming soon thing turned out to be a lie. I've been off training my beatmaking skills and contemplating the many quandaries of life. I Haven't been playing WoW (or much of anything) of recent, but if i get an urge I may come back, but not all that likely at the moment.

Anyway, I've been messaged and emailed by quite a few people hoping for a new mix and I'm just dropping by to say that I'ma be pounding this thing out today/tomorrow. QC Warhammer is banging. Dark Crag RVR (app @ www.ourworkisneverover.net). This game is growing on me and while it lacks polish it definitely holds a lot of potential.

I've been pretty casual while balancing lots of other things so I'm only sitting around 20 but some guildies hit 40 the other day, so grats to them.

What the **** keeps happening to my goddamn flag standard things? >:O

Lovefest in SF was badass. Lots of good musics and an all around excelent time. There was some old dude wearing a sponge bob mask and no pants(nooooo pantsss....).....

Life has been quite hecktic recently. Going to school for sound arts, living in an apartment with 3 roommates, one of whome is the most badass individual I have ever met. He's a total drug burnout and is the most permastoned person I've ever met. For example: I was working on the computer, he's at the table in the other side of the room. I'm kind of half listening as he starts to mumble something. So, I pause my music to try and catch what he's saying, then he stands up from the the table, says under his breath "I'm the bus driver," then, with more force "SMELL MY ****." and walks off. I cried tears of laughter, and this kind of thing is by no means an isolated event.

All the dudes here are chill, we made a movie in school recently and one of our actors had a headshot(BOOM???) photo sitting on the table. One evening, another one of my roommates was on a mushroom trip and decided to give the picture a more tribal feel.

Blizzard Gives Mages the Love They Deserve

Ask any mage and I'm sure you'll hear cries for help.Â Whether it be mana-issue, lack of burst or survivability, every player in WoW has come to acknowledge to problems surrounding the mage class.

You may be asking yourself, "He's kidding, right?Â Â Mages can shatter for ~7k!"Â No fellow citizens, I kid you not; 7000 damage is not enough!

Mages are now blessed with abilities that put us on par with every other class.Â We can finally do damage while kiting, curb-stomp dispellers with RNG, and counter an instant shadow bolt with an instant, cost-free fireball!

The best example of this balance is in dueling.Â I know dueling isn't how WoW is balanced but honestly, if I can't win a duel I don't want to play WoW.Â With the new mage changes I've been able to win a few duels, up from none on live.

So without further ado, I present to thee a short video of me dueling the frost mage's previous hard counter, the......... War...........lock.(rrior)

That being said, what you said could also be a stab at my living situation. Im' a ******* 2nd year student paying my way through everything, with the west australian housing market the way it is and interest rates completely ****** how the **** do you expect me to buy a ******* house? ****. Its not like my family impose on me to a large degree or me on them, there's just no other option until a few years down the line when I have a degree and a real job (not busting my ******* back up).

I'd also like to say **** you very much for not tearing that dropout **** to shreds when he talked smack to you. This kid thinks he can just stroll into the mage forums with a 2100 rated 2v2 in a bad battlegroup and talk **** to you, why the **** are you taking that ******* **** from that ******* ****!?

Sucks to be you, but it got it's world premier atop 'The Dubmarine' at Burning Man, followed by an 8 (yes, eight) hour set! Followed by many an illicit activity.

Heylo there internets.

I recently moved up to norcal from Santa Barbara and started school so I apologize for leaving you all hanging. ANYWAY, I'm mostly settled in here and am going to try and get back into the swing of things and see how enjoyable it is. Planning on wrapping up ISO 8 today/tomorrow so I'll post that here when it's done.

Serennia used one of my unfinished songs in his new pally movie (level v2 on myspace), granted I didn't say it was ok, but I figured as much when I linked him to it, so I don't really mind. Oh yeah, and pally's in wotlk are stupid.

Also working on some other neat stuff which I imagine you guys may hear around sometime... mwahaha.

Heading to Burning Man on Wednesday and I'll be back later that evening so, maybe expect some stuff around then as well, maybe.

Hey, I'm testing a new program and some new hardware as well as my ability to broadcast, so in like 35 mins or so (around 4pm PST) I'll be dropping a link here to a live stream (unless I can't get this **** working).

The main purpose of this is as a test so you may hear things start and stop, but I'll try to make it as enjoyable as possible.

Also I don't have the bandwidth for a TON of people right now, so it will be first come first serve.

Also, while up here one of my friends turned 21.
We had driven him from SB (where he goes to school) up to here (where his family lives), so we met up with his dad right as the day rolled over and thus he turned 21.

I was ready to crash and celebrate with him later in the evening, but my dad opted that we find the nearest bar, which turned out to be a strip club.

Which I guess for some white trashy people might be normal, but is anything but considering the people who were attending.

Before I get into this simple yet elegant (ooohhh, ahhhh) change, I'd like to make clear that I think racials are stupid **** in arenas and I hope they remove them in WOTLK or sooner. It seems inevitable if they want to game to evolve but for some reason blizzard still hasn't gotten the tip.

Anyway, as everyone knows, Shadowmeld is a terrible racial for almost every NE class (f druids). I think a neat change to Shadowmeld would be to bump the cooldown up to 2 mins (or whatever) and on use act as a ghetto vanish.

It would still break on movement or use of abilities, and the rank of stealth in SM would be a fairly weak one. Casts in the air would function normally (IE. A mage channels a frost bolt, releases it, you use SM, the frostbolt would still hit you out) unlike vanish (HAH, LIKE VANISH WORKS).

The main purpose of the ability would be to immediately drop combat, here are some examples.

A rogue SMs (drops combat) restealths off it and continues on his merry way.

A warrior goes battle, SMs, and gets a charge off that would otherwise be nearly impossible.

A priest SMs and immediately starts a rez (more like immediately heal drinks m i rite?).

The classes that already benefit most from SM (Druid/Hunter) would not be drastically changed, though it would allow a druid to instant SM drink at some points in arenas.

For this change to be considered viable I believe druids need to be toned down a bit or other healers need to be buffed up (I think buffing them up is always the more fun solution), and they would have to fix heal drinking as being able to get a heal drink off no matter how pressured doesn't seem legit (IE. the mana game is close, the other team's healer SM's dropping combat, the next global is casting their max rank heal, and off the end of that is immediately drinking (f druids).

Possible pet de-agro modifier or some junk too.

I could also see it having a .5 second cast time or something as well so it would be harder to use to avoid damage.

ISO8 UPD8

I had originally planned to rush job simplemix a bunch of good tracks together for ISO 8 but instead I've put quite a bit of time into what is already my best mix yet, by far! It's super technical, the track selection is awesome and the mixing is very fast paced (3 tracks layered fo` maximum dance POWAHHH).

I'm about 21 tracks in and at the 45ish minute mark, so about 25 mins left of the mix to work on. So far I've probably put 20 something hours into it. I'll try to be finishing it up this week (going out of town this weekend), if I don't I'll be sure to post a teaser for you guys as I know I've already INCONVENIENCED YOU ALL SOOOOO MUCH.

So once upon a time, when I was 13 years old, I really liked anime a lot.
I was also fairly retarded at 13 years old, luckily for me I've mostly grown out of it, unlike many of the people who will probably read this post.

I weep for you.

I'll continue with my slightly entertaining tale.

Around the time I was 13 years old, I got an IMAC, boy was I excited.

Somehow or another I stumbled onto the wonderful world of piracy and had a hotline server. It was hot **** and I made a pretty penny by making people sign up for bull**** advertising things as most people who ran well known servers did back then. (pimpin it with the 1gig imac HD).

ANYWAY, my first introduction to anime was someone uploading something, I don't even remember what anymore, it was probably terrible as was most of the stuff I liked back then, but that doesn't matter, I still have my nostalgia and that's what counts.

On my hotline server (which was basically a ghetto FTP client with easy user privileges and a chat room) I met some dude that introduced me to the wonderful world of IRC. Goddamn was I a clueless bean back then.
My main 'hangout' (NERDOUT??? ELLOELL) was #bakamx, which did some pretty big fansubs in its time and I met quite a few people in my time there.

Anyway, one day when I was nearly turning 14 I was like "Hey, I want to start a fansub. I have a website, so why not?" So I hit up some of my e-anime-homies and we got the ball rolling, and live-evil was born!

It's been a few years since I've actively participated in any of the projects, but it's pretty much self sustaining at this point, which has always been pretty impressive to me.

MOVING ON, so liek, earlier this week I joined mah #live-evil as I sometimes do and one of the translators, Tofusensei (who deserves the majority of the credit in getting L-E to where it is today) says he's heading to AX along with some other L-E members and that I should join them, so here I am, AX 2008 YEARH!!!!

To be completely honest, I still do like some anime, painful as that is to admit, but I very rarely watch anything anymore. I no longer have the time nor effort to sift through the majority of the garbage out there to find that ONE show that is sort of decent. That said, Mindgame is the best movie ever made and everyone should try and see it.

Don't tell anyone, but this is actually my second AX, my first being 2005 (iirc), where I was asked to come as a DJ.

You haven't seen anything till you've seen 1,500 anime kids, a good portion of which in full cosplay, getting down to funky house. Unfortunately the event was terribly run and my timeslot the 3 nights I was spinning were constantly getting pushed back for some ******* playing terrible epic trance or forward for some Marlyn Manson wannabe ****. Anyway, I got a ton of good feedback from my shows and it was quite a good time over all, that and I didn't have to pay for ****.

So, here I am, day 2 of AX, saw some movies last night. Drank.

Hermited in the hotel today gamefacing a song (which is now up at www.myspace.com/isotronic titled 'whitenoisablism'). Met some chill people. Didn't get to the con today. Drank.

It's now about 5:20 on Sat morning, about to go to sleep as there is apparently a few private industry parties that we (the LE staff) have been invited to later this evening.

Mutilol & PvE Raps

So, QC has a rogue by the name of Rngrofl, he's a talented fellow but has the unfortunate habit of being permaspec'd mutilate (love that spec though I do).

Anyway, he linked me this gem earlier and I couldn't help but shed a tear of laughter.

Obviously there's a chance this isn't really Serennia, but with what I've heard of their team recently there's a good chance this is legit.

The second think I will bring to your attention is after an AWFUL night of Archimonde due to a few bad players, myself and comrade ShaunKonnery (Probably best known for his Ming rap, along with 'Overnight 70' and 'Rapwing Lair') took 30 minutes to make a song forever immortalizing that very evening.

We did it speed style, I had a 15 minutes to make the background, once finished I gave him a topic (I chose the night's raid) then he took 15 mins to write/record vocals, and 30 minutes later this gem was born.

The references made are:

Ninjilol, Incipient's raid leader
Yhee, girl IRL, whispers on vent until she nerdrage
Snakedog, an Incipient druid. Nice guy and a competent raider, needs to step it up though!
PetiteRouge, girl IRL. Would die for stupid reasons, take lots of unnecessary damage and would never acknowledge her mistakes.

On our final attempt we decided to try sitting the people messing up, Snakedog was fine with it as he knew he was making mistakes (hooray for a good raiding attitude at least!), but PetitRouge was up in arms about it complaining about how she'd only died once and how she was topping the meters, yadda yadda yadda, she was told that it wasn't personal and we were just trying to get it done, but she said she wouldn't have it and gquit.

I wish we hadn't given her all that loot :<

We're looking for a third and final player to fill out our team on the tourney realm. Both of us have played past 2400 level arena on at least two different classes, and we're looking for a top-tier player or two to compete for top four with us.

Druid is hugely preferable, with the primary setups being Druid, Rogue (Dahis), Rogue (Isolee): Druid, Warrior (Dahis), Rogue (Isolee); and Druid, Rogue (Dahis), Priest (Isolee). Latter comp limited to countercomping DoT teams.

However, outstanding players of any class may be considered, as I (Isolee) can fill in the Druid slot if necessary. Preference given to players who have mastered a number of different classes.

Serious applicants only please. Must be able to play 200+ games in the last 1.5 weeks of TR2.
