Warcraft 3, Bodie Dying Upset Me, Hard Rock.

Curtis has decided to jump on this thing and has released a song called Hard Rock. Personally I wouldn't class it as hip hop but w/e. Overall I've gone of Hip Hop quite a bit right now and am listening to bands like Enter Shikari, Hadouken!, Killswitch Engage, BMFV, Celldweller, Lost Prophets and Lenny Kravitz.

Oh and here's Kanye West interrupting the news

- Nobbeh.

PS. I would Lady GaGa.

Bodi A 'Flaming Hot Homosexual', Blueprint 3 Sucktastic, Eminems New Track, University Thoughts

Turns out, Bodi aka Nick Johnson is a raging homosexual or so facebook is telling me. I'm not gunna lie, I had my suspicions when he, unlike most WoW geeks admitted his love for going out and drinking alcohol in various bars.Oh and on top of that he's a troll shaman. Part he didn't mention was that these are actually gay bars and his girlfriend is a transvestite. I guess WoM really does aim at being fair and balanced, atleast in their recruiting process anyway.

Now I'm about to start my final year of education before I head of to university, I achieved ABCDU in my As level's, up to you to if that's good or bad. Personally I don't think it's that amazing and neither do my parents but my friends think somehow it's amazing. Oddly enough my highest and lowest grades are both languages (Dutch and French). To all those that have went to university or are currently at university, I'm interested in what it's like and your course and if you regret anything plus any tips on deciding university and such, i'd be grateful .

I'm not gunna lie guys, Blueprint 3 is sucktastic. If you were planning on buying it, don't bother. I've had a listen through and like always, Jay-Z is unbelievably boring and uninteresting to listen to, plus it's tied with hideously boring beats (Death Of Autotune really is a tedious and craptastic beat). I really wish he would hurry up and retire, the only thing I've ever thought he did that was interesting was when he was beefin' with Oasis and played their song at Glastonbury last year. Felt good owning all the Oasis fans, even though I do enjoy some of their songs. I really wish that people would start feeling Chamillionaire, he's probably the most slept on artist of the last few years. Everyone knows his hit single Ridin' Dirty - but he really is quite lyrically able. For those interested, here's a few of his songs. Most of his stuff is free to download over on his website. All the below songs are from his albums Mixtape Messiah, and there's 7 parts.

Internet Nerds Revenge

Middle Finger Up

Lonely At The Top

Roll Call Reloaded

Oh oh oh and before I go, check out Drake's new track with Kanye, Lil Wayne and Eminem. It goes hard

- Nobbeh.
50 Cent Forever King, Game apologizes, Mj Tributes.

In a recent MTV interview, Game mentions Michael Jackson urging 50 Cent and Game to settle their differences and that Jackson wished to make music with both of them once they had settled their beef, however due to his death it never came to fruition. Nevertheless, Game has recently not only apologised to G-unit but the whole of Interscope. Personally the idea of Michael Jackson wanting to collaberate with both of them seems a bit strange, I would've thought Mj would have better things to do than get involved in their petty squabble.

50 Cent has recently stated that he believes he's still number one, and far better than lil wayne, also stating that even though Tha Carter III outsold his Curtis album, it's nothing on his previous album sales of The Massacre and Get Rich Or Die Trying. Now personally, I think 50 fell out quite awhile ago however I just downloaded his new mixtape 'Forever King' and it's pretty hot to say the least. Here's two of my favourites from the mixtape, first one has a fail 40 second intro though. The mixtape overall is pretty solid.

Game has released a track as a tribute to Michael Jackson with Boys II Men, Diddy, Usher, Mario Winans and Chris Brown. Personally I find the track to be alright, but nothing special.

Another tribute song to Michael Jackson that was released was done by Sway, a UK grime/ Hip Hop artist. This one's called 'The King Full Stop'. Personally I prefer it out of the two.

Which one do you prefer, Sway's 'The King Full Stop' or Game's 'Better On The Other Side'?

- Nobbeh
Cuz Baby I'm A Playa

Today would've been 2Pac's 38th birthday, and I only feel it is right that I dedicate a blog to the late great one. You see as hip hop today is so stale and boring. For most part all artists have no substance or soul in their music, and this is true for most genre's of music today. Nobody cares about speaking about important issues or help people out as they're far more interested in making money. Sadly, I believe 2Pac wouldn't have been considered what he is today had he not been murdered when he did, and more than likely he would be like what Dre and Snoop are today. Not much.

2Pac has really shaped me as a person, and introduced me to black history. Teaching me about the Black Panthers, slavery, Malcom X and various struggles that they have endured in the past. While he was seen as a gangster and thanks to the media, a bad person because he is affiliated with criminals, drugs and guns he really wasn't this evil monster he was made out to be. He symbolises, to me atleast, that you really can do anything or go anywhere if you really want to. Besides being a hip hop artist, he was also a pretty good actor, starring in movies such as Juice, Above The Rim, Gridlock'd and Gang Related.

Even if you don't like Pac, you have to admit there was substance in his songs. There was meaning in his music. And here's 5 of his songs that are my alltime favourites, which are in no particular order!

Sadly, as I mentioned above, Hip Hop is a tedious and boring genre of music to listen to for most part so these days I tend to listen to different stuff, lately I've been quite into Bring Me The Horizon. Incase you don't know who they are, here's one of their songs.

- Nobbeh
Internet Friends & Real Life Friends.

Over the many years that I have been online and gaming, I have met a vast amount of people. Some of which I've befriended and others I have argued endlessly with, most the time over petty things. While I played WoW, I befriended a huge amount of people but how many of which do I actually keep in contact with now that I nolonger play WoW? A handful at most, which is a shame I think.

You see, while I played WoW the people I knew on there I thought about more than the most people I knew IRL, they meant so much more to me than even my own family and I would sometimes wonder whether they would think of me while they went about their daily business when not online on WoW, it was probably one of the main reasons I created drama on the realm forums - Me hoping that people would go to work/angry laughing or being annoyed at the drama I had sparked. That for me was my life at the time, and I suppose for a lot of WoW 'addicts' it still is. Yet even though I am no longer playing WoW at all, my best friends still remain people I know online, which a lot of the time can be quite irritating and annoying.

As it is in human nature to want to socialise and be with people, most of my time is somehow still spent behind a PC talking to people on MSN/facebook and not going out. While I do have a lot of friends in real life - my best friends live quite a distance away (this distance being about an hour by train up to the other side of the world). I suppose that in this sense, the internet is a double edged blade. As personally, I feel it is in human nature to want to physically be with people, yet due to long distance friendships and in some people's situations long distance relationships, you cannot see them. The interesting thing is who's to say they would even like you in person, would you ever even consider being friends with them in person. A lot of the time people on the internet I've got to know I couldn't see myself hanging out with them in person.

Does anyone else here have similar circumstances or is anyone here in a long distance relationship? How do you deal with it?

- Nobbeh.

From Hip Hop To Rock Music, Better Rappers Than Sage Francis & The Return Of The 3 Headed Beast.

It isn't often that an artist is able to go from one popular genre to another, and do it successfully. However, one artist that has the ability to do that is Lupe Fiasco. A little known project of his is a band called Japanese Cartoon, of which he is the leadsinger and goes by the name of Percival Fats. The genre of the band is some sort of Rock, I'm not sure what subgenre you place it in really. I'll let you decide for yourself with their song below called 'Heirplanes'

If you like it, here's two more for you
Japanese Cartoon - Invaders Must Die
Japanese Cartoon - Army

A few days ago, Jasi blogged about Sage Francis who is apparently a true hip hop artist. I'm going to have to disagree, and I'm also going to have to say he's terrible hard to listen to without getting bored. Instead of complaining and *****ing about how bad Sage Francis is, I'll simply show you two true hip hop artists, who not only have good beats but have the lyrics to go with it.

Supersonic aka Charles Hamilton has been creating some hype on the internet over the last few months, if you're into Hip Hop I would be surprised if you haven't heard of him. In short he's got top lyrics with a variety of beats ranging from old school to the oh so loved mainstream beats of today. Here's one of his songs called 'Windows Media Player'.

Like it? Here's a few more for you and let's see if you know the sample's of the first two .

Charles Hamilton - Rockstar Girl
Charles Hamilton - Outside
Charles Hamilton - Brooklyn Girls

The other artist that I'm liking right now is a westcoast rapper who goes by the name of 'Ya Boy'. Before The Game blew up, he and Game used to collab on tracks.
I'll Pirate Games Until You Start Making Quality Ones.

What's wrong with Gaming today? Seriously what's wrong with it. No game I play anymore feels fun or enjoyable to play. In fact no games today are worth picking up as I know they're simply not going to be worth playing. Any game I play just feels like effort to play through.

Truth is gaming today sucks.

Take Bioshock, I've owned it since its release but never actually bothered to install it until a few weeks ago. Started playing it and it seemed alright, got a little way in and I turnt it off as I realised how terrible it was. I can't believe that game got as high ratings as it actually did. The ideas in it seemed cool, it was just boring. It didn't grab me at all.

Spore is another good one. Look how anticipated that game was, and look how it crashed and burnt. It sold near 2 million copies, yet there were approximately 1.7 million illegal downloads of it, probably more. Truth be told it was quite fun, yet nowhere near as good as people were making it out to be.

Funny thing is they're both top end games where companies have spent millions and millions on to create them, and they both suck completely. Then they wonder why people pirate games...

Whatever happened to good games like Abe's Oddysee? Dungeon Keeper? Nox? These were actual games I enjoyed and played through and through. Games that I actually bought because they were worth buying. I prefer to pick up the old SNES games or Gameboy colour games and play them instead of playing the rubbish that's out today to be fair. In fact I decided to play Pokemon Yellow the other day, and was surprised at how much fun it still is. Graphics a little dated, but hey.. Who cares? It's actual fun. All these games are pushing the limits of graphics, yet their stories are completely terrible.

Speaking of WOTLK, I only got to level 71.5 on WoW before I jacked it in. It was boring, playing a warlock is boring and I would prefer to play a warrior. I simply can't be bothered to level a warrior from level 1. Well Infact I can't be bothered to level at all, so screw that game.

So yeah, gaming today sucks. Who's with me?

- Nobbeh (ps lol i'm working on a top 100 hip hop songs for lols)

SK Gaming and Nihilum To Merge!

"We are proud to announce the forming of a new force in World of Warcraft. Many of you will remember the guilds Nihilum and SK Gaming(Curse) from the past years, we have now decided to combine our strengths to create the number one team for Wrath of the Lich King and beyond. We have spent a considerable amount of time forging the greatest roster ever assembled in this game and we are now ready to take on anything that is released. To support this roster we have finally found an appropriately motivated team to back us and help us reach our full potential. Together we aim to deliver a much more professional and WoW tailored experience to the community than anything else that has been done in the past.

At this point we are just offering a taste of what's to come. As the name suggests we are going to be doing our full launch on the 25th of November under a new brand but we wanted to let the community know that we are combining our efforts prior to this launch. So what is coming on the 25th ? We are going to launch a new portal that's built around the guild with the goal of being one of the top World of Warcraft community sites. So watch this space until the 25th. You will find us leveling up on Magtheridon and striving for world firsts in the new wave of content.

Thomas "Kungen" Bengtsson - Guild Master
Philip "Mek" Curry - Guild Master
Markus "Mackzter" Dahlgren - Guild Master
Mark "Nessaj" Laursen - Community Manager"

Source

Don't Worry, Nobbeh Loves You.

Hello pitiful beings from Gameriot. What a week it has been, I must say. I would've blogged on all this shizz earlier in the week if time had allowed me, but time didn't allow me so you all had to wait. So yeah let me recap for you all.

The funny thing about him winning is that all the rappers seem to think that Obama is going to be their homeboy and hang out with them or something. I personally find the idea hilarious. I have also came to the conclusion that Obama doesn't like me. He still hasn't accepted my Myspace friend request that I sent him 2 weeks ago, while John McCain has been friendly enough to accept it, and I sent it to him yesterday! He's my top friend now! It does look funny seeing Obama's blogs as the featured article on Myspace too, something about it doesn't make sense to me, I almost feel offended by it to be honest. It's almost makes me think that they think the only way to interest young people is by doing it through Myspace. I think the only rappers that have a clue about politics would be Dead Prez, their new single was on radio 1xtra the other day and the DJ had to apologize if it offended anyone.

Now, I recently started WoW again. I tried lolaffliction and I'm not quite sure why people are QQing. I can pretty much destroy all classes even when I have no clue what most new classes new abilities are, I remember when I saw a shaman bring out these wolves, it made me jump. Unluckily for the shaman I have instant Howl Of Terror which basically nullified them. However the issue for me is that I don't know where to play. I'm currently on Magtheridon (***meridon w/e) and there's little interesting people to play with on there, so I ask all EU WoWers, where will you be playing? Not sure about Stormscale as It's mostly full and on top of that its overflowing with ******ry and epeen, which is mostly fail.

And there you have it.

- Nobbeh.
Why Are You Getting WOTLK?

Hello bretheren, I return once again to question all you people that are deciding to pick up the new World Of Warcraft expansion pack, Wrath Of The Lich King, which is due to be released in little over a month now. What I come to ask is, why are you going to buy Wrath Of The Lich King?

Let's go back in time to Vanilla WoW. At the time I was on a backwash server in a terrible guild who struggled to kill Anub'rekan, and we were the second best guild on the server too. Eventually we gave up and decided that it wasn't worth plugging our way through Naxxramas as Blizzard was about to dish out an expansion pack that will bring new and exciting things! New battlegrounds! New concept called Arena's! New races! Horde get paladins! Illidan! The Burning Crusade sounded like immense fun.

Patch 2.0 comes, all the High Warlords and Grand Marshals are pissed off that suddenly everyone can get their gear for minimal effort. I was pretty happy about this, as I had always wanted those glowing shoulders that DrakeDog had, as I thought they were the coolest shoulders in game. Screw my Plagueheart shoulders! I'm getting the HWL shoulders! Everybody that wanted decent gear could easily grab it, it was all fun. New talents to fool around with, and new stratagies to be developed against classes. Suddenly classes I could previously rinse I had to watch out for, but I enjoyed it. It was all new stuff and I was happy.

I remember release day of TBC quite well. It was a school day and I was anxious to get home and Install the game and to start exploring these new areas. Levelling was fun at first, but I never really enjoyed levelling characters, yet I strived on to get level 70. Fast forward a few weeks, and I'm a level 70 Warlock in mostly blues trying out the new instances and playing some new BG's. At first it was fun, yet it didn't feel the same. It just wasn't as much fun as I expected it to be. It wasn't as much fun as it used to be.

My server rapidly changed, the hardcore guilds suddenly were no longer hardcore raiding guilds. Nobody truely cared about getting server firsts. Nobody really seemed to really respect other players anymore. PvE was deemed easy so nobody had respect for the top guilds, and at the same time the PvE guilds deemed PvP for people not good enough for PvE and as such there was no respect for them.

Everything Blizzard actually promised never came. Balanced classes. Short and fun instances. Working professions that provide an alternative to raiding/pvp. AV to be balanced. Tell me, has any of this actually been implemented? Classes are still skewed and always will be. Instances are not short and may be fun the first few times, they become tedious and old rapidly. Professions worked at the start but quickly decended into a money waster that gave very little worthwhile. AV is just a lost cause altogether.

Blizzard gave into increasing pressure to dumb down a decent game, people whinged and cried on the forums saying that instances were too hard, getting gear in PvE and PvP took to long. As such, badges were implemented to make it easier to get gear for people who don't have time to raid and for PvPers you can just hop into a BG and collect honour and tokens. Nobody anymore wanted to put in effort to get gear. When once PvPers would make premades to rank up in PvP, people would just sit around in AV leeching. When a premade was actually made, the queues for WSG AB or EOTS would well exceed 10+ minutes as solo players whined on the forums that they kept getting steamrolled by premades.

The only thing I enjoyed was arena and the occasional BG, and I only enjoyed BG's when I had honour capped, had 100 of each token and didn't need anything else from them. Arena rapidly became stale and then there was virtually nothing to do anymore, it came to the point where I would rather just read about the game than actually log on and play it.

Now Wrath is around the corner, and i'm surprised to see the amount of people that are hopeful that Blizzard will fix the mess they made, yet it's a shame those people cannot see that those problems stem back from preTBC, they're rooted in the game and in the idiocy of the developers & designers. I am doubtful any of this game can be fixed and personally I believe it is on it's way down, yet I don't understand why so many people are planning on buying this game. What about WOTLK makes it worth buying. What am I missing that makes the game worth getting? Why are you going to buy it?

- Nobbeh.

Just a quick question.

As the title says...

I know a lot of rogue builds have been thought up over the passed few months and a lot of people already know how they're going (i'm already planning on staying mutilate as i always have been).

But today i saw a retard post probably the most retarded build i'd ever seen some sort of hybrid assass combat subt thing. But for some reason it reminded me of a build that was used a little in the beginning of S3 and some at the end of S2.

So i was curious has any one taken some time to test out builds similar to the old seal fate premeds. Like a level 80 variant.

Something like this; http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=fbeboeMoirocZ0xZe0bbIhdd - i just spat that out real quick to demonstrate and a lot of changes could be made where people prefer some things like an imp ss instead of hemo variant. Possibly focused attacks over expose weakeness but whatever, you get the just.

Would appreciate some feedback on it as i haven't had chance to get onto the beta yet. I'm assuming that the damage to combo point output you get from mutilate currently out weighs the combo gen and damage on this one, but iwas curious none-the-less.

CIAO

Black

I have finally realised that deep down I am merely just a black man. It's funny this, I suppose it's more of accepting something that you already know, similar to someone who is gay but denies it to themselves - Even though everyone around him knows he is gay he just doesn't want to accept it yet. Apply this to me, except that I'm black instead of gay.

It's not something you can just accept, nor is it something to boast about if you're white. I don't even understand how I developed into a black man, well not entirely true. You see, in today's world there are no good white male role models; no white males who you can look at and think 'Wow, he went through all that suffering and got to where he is today!'. There's nobody awe inspiring in my eyes, and I noticed this when I was young which is why I feel I turnt towards the black culture, it's built on suffering and overcoming that suffering. My hero, 2Pac portrayed that very well. He showed the world the struggle that many young black males endured in the US and showed it is possible to escape the viscious circle that so many of them are trapped in and either do not know how to escape or in some cases, do not want too.

Even though I was born in England, and raised there for a part of my life, I never have felt like i truely fit in. People my age are so very unambitious. Nobody wants to strive to become something that could make a positive change within the world. Last august when everyone went into school to pick up their results, so many people in my school year were happy with their D's and E's! Countrywide, there were more people who got D's than A's! Technically speaking, D's E's and F's do count as passes, however by todays standards you need a C in your subjects to get anywhere. Now they're all going on to do plumbing or carpentry, and they're only going on to do that because they have no other options, well they could always go to a football college!

It's funny that too, people are so into football and I never understood why. I mean sure it's entertaining and fun to play, but why would you want to be a professional footballer? Becoming one of them will not help the world whatsoever, it may provide entertainment but the money they earn for kicking a ball around is ludicris! You can see as good football in a far lower league for the tenth of the price of a premiere league football game. If someone was becoming an athlete and wanted to compete in the olympics or such, that's something completely different. To me, that's pushing the human body to its limits and watching this can be just as, if not more entertaining that football!

Personally, I think most of the English youth draws from Hip Hop music, yet the vast majority of it draw on the commercial and evil part of it. They're taking it far too literal, they're not listening for the meaning of the song (although most of them today have no real meaning). They believe that knives and guns are cool, that harassing people is cool. It's funny as most kids here in England and the UK are not doing this because they have nothing to do or do not know better like the youth in a ghetto, they do it because the media has told them it's cool. Funny though that then the media think they can turn around and blame Hip Hop for all the wrong, along with computer games ofcourse.

Now that I am a black man on the inside, whitey on the outside, I have decided I should portray this look better. I have decided to grow dreadlocks and am contemplating getting a grill and buying hip hop clothing, I have found a neat shop in Chatham that sells this sort of clothing, although it is very expensive. I'm not sure what my parents would say though as they're not fond of black people or their culture.Â

It's a funny world, I was sitting on the train the other on saturday after having been to town when I looked up and noticed a Barack Obama poster. This was not a poster hung up by some randomer, it had actually been put there by the train company, not that I actually know who owns them. As much as I understand that the world loves Obama for being the better candidate, there is really little to no point for putting the poster up in a train that isn't in the US.

Before I leave you now, I should mention that I have a new Eastern European friend, who like me feels disaffected from England even though we have both lived in England for the the majority of our lives. We have decided that for a laugh we shall try and create a few tracks, which i am more than willing to share with the Gameriot community. They will be hosted on my Myspace when done too.

PS. I'm aware dreadlocks are not exclusively for black people or hip hop music, I just like the look of them really, any tips on how to grow these or style these would also be appreciated.

PSS. The Game is bringing out a new mixtape, here's the album design for it so far. No joke

Who The Hell Is Rupert Murdoch? Games Vs The TV. What Is The UK Coming Too?

"Seriously who the hell is Rupert Murdoch, I've actually never heard of him."

That's what more or less everyone said when I went into my new lessons last week. Nobody actually knew Rupert Murdoch or how the media manipulates the people on a daily basis. People were gobsmacked at the idea that the media might actually be biased and that sometimes the media may lie to you. I've never quite witnessed something so stupid, and all these girls in my class (i am the only boy LOL) are all of reasonable intelligence (hard to believe, I know).

After all of them being enlightened and even some of them refusing to believe it, we then got on to discuss gaming and then the typical stereotype things came up such as nerd, no life losers, virgin etc. After gaming took some bashing, i raised the point that 'Gaming is far more sociable than simply watching the TV as someone is actually talking back to you if you're playing a multiplayer game while that does not happen on TV.' All these girls who were feeling butthurt that i called them nolifers for watching multiple episodes of Hollyoaks/Skins/Lost every evening decided to say that 'watching TV is far more sociable as you can talk to other people about the episodes and feel like you're there'. I know, they're lame pointers of theirs.

The thing that amuses me most about this is just how malinformed people are today. People are so afraid of being themselves and doing what they want as they much rather be a sheep and follow the crowd. It's very rare to find someone my age that is interested in world affairs such as the current ongoing elections in America. All they know is 'some black dude might be president, i hope he wins cause he's black'. That's about as much as you will get out've them. This whole attitude of just following the crowd and being afraid to speak your mind is really what is killing the UK. None of us are willing to stand up to the invasion of immigrants coming in, nobody is willing to grab their balls and say No. Below is our main problem.

[Note Muslims = Arabs/Iraqi's Afghans etc.]

It's a sad state that a country like the UK has come to such a nannying state that we're too afraid to speak out against foreigners saying stuff like that.

On an offtopic note, since I am required to write quite indepth essays for my new subjects (psychology, sociology, French and media studies) I would gladly accept any critisism, whether it be good or bad about paragraphing or what i could elaborate on further or even anything related to it. Teachers these days are so bad at my school that i would rather rely on strangers on the internet to correct my mistakes.

Also, if you thought Kanye West brutally murdered Daft Punks song, wait till you hear this.

- Nobbeh.
I'll Never Buy A Game Again

I honestly will never buy a game again, and for good reason. They're all overhyped and have nothing new to them except advanced graphics or slight gameplay changes. On top of that, any game that the media creates hype over is generally terrible too. Spore is a prime example of this.

Spore was the first game in a very long time i was considering buying, I downloaded the creature creator a few months beforehand and played it. It was pretty fun and deep down i was hoping that Spore would reconstruct the idea that games are worth buying. Sadly, it did nothing but destroy it further. On release date, I decided to download Spore, and at first it was fun. By the tribal stage it was starting to get a little bored but would push on. Civilisation stage was Meh but thought to myself 'Yes, space phase! This will be sweeet'! and it was none of that. It was tedious and dull and rather lacklustre. Overall a huge dissapointment, but hey we all already knew that right?

There are no real new games that really grab me. I haven't tried them all obviously nor do i intend to. FPS wise nothing comes close to UT. RTS wise nothing comes close to Dungeon Keeper2 & Starcraft/Warcraft. In the realm of RPG, nothing comes close to Fable. Fable is simply one of the best games ever imo. Then in the MMO world, WoW trounces everything even if it is trash right now.

I have the same thing with music, no music is worth buying anymore. Anything that is released is rather craptastic and not worth my hardearned money. No album, no matter what the genre is worth buying right now, especially Hip Hop. I recently downloaded The Game's new album, LAX and i must say there's only 2 tracks of the 19 that are worth listening too. I must say though that in rock music, the overall quality of songs are better.

It's been 12 years today since Tupac Amaru Shakur passed away and i still think it's a shame someone as clever and inspirational as him had to die. However I can't help but wonder what would he have turnt into if he didnt. Would he have went the route Snoop Dogg did or would he have fought for what he believed in instead of selling out. Either way, he will be remembered until the end of time just like Malcom X and MLK will be.

Rest In Peace Tupac Amaru Shakur

BREAKING NEWS: Gameriot Is Closing Down

Yeah it's been awhile since I did anything worth blogging about. Little time to write a worthwhile blog mixed with little reason to want to blog, however with recent news that offtopic blogs will no longer be allowed I will nolonger have any reason whatsoever to blog or even visit this website as much as I do.

As far as I can see, the reason this change is coming in is because not enough people are blogging about gaming, which is what the site is intended for and that offtopic blogs get far more hits. Fair enough I suppose, but I hope the GR admins realise they've just killed of 80% of all blogs which will lead to reduced traffic overall. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will stop coming to Gameriot too if this comes in (however if GR does establish itself as a proper gaming website then it may attract new people to it).

Gameriot was the website i would go to if i wanted to read something random, possibly learn something new or if i wanted to have a cheap laugh at the trolling that is going on. I came to Gameriot to possibly check on new games too, however i certainly dont come here anymore to read WoW unless it involves a tournement or drama. If i want to read the latest WoW changes i will go to MMO champ or Worldofraids. Very rarely will i ever feel the need to read deeply into what every item does and if i do want to read how good something might be i'll go to EJ as they actually cover it in depth, which they never do here(no, comments saying ye this is good or no this is bad are not indepth). I have very little will to read up on Starcraft or Diablo 3 either unless it's really interesting stuff, not tiny changes or players *****ing about specific units/graphics in the games.

On top of that, there isn't that much you can cover in gaming, especially WoW. We've heard it all before so there's little reason to want to cover this stuff again. I personally believe if people had something gaming related to blog about they would, there's just nothing game related to blog about right now, especially on the topic of WoW SC and Diablo. You can see that there isn't much to blog about WoW wise, look at WOM and the recent addition of Serennia; look at what Jasi has been blogging about the last month - 2 months. I'm surprised he still has something to ramble on about for WoW and I personally think Jasi is a good blogger, he just has nothing to blog about which is what makes his articles so dull at times.

If this change comes to effect like Kyle says, Gameriots system will to change, as it is absolutely terrible right now. This portal thing is just terrible. Please change it. Maybe make them less specific and broaden each portal to the company that the game comes from ( Portal one - Blizzard, Portal two - EA etc etc) or perhaps do each portal by genre of game. If one portal is overloaded with content about one particular game make subportals so to speak.

Revamp the updates completely. Seriously theres no point clicking on it anymore. I have 42 friends on Gameriot and 99% of the time updates just says (new) as i've got more than 100 updates. I don't have the time or inclination to want to sift through them so i just ignore it. I am aware I can turn specific things on and off in the updates part however even if i turnt all of it off except for comments I would still have to read through 100+ comments. I suggest that Updates gets split in two, you get friend updates like currently but it needs to be more like the way Facebook does it. Instead of it doing this it would simply say Roma Victor, Kyle P., Slapnuts and Vir have commented on 'No More Political Blogs on Gameriot'. This would make the updates much more useful and easier to look through.

The other updates would be Subscriptions. Lets say you've subscribed to Jasi it would show when Jasi has posted a new article in a blog. However you should also be given the option to subscribe to a blog itself so that you get articles from everyone on that blog. Like this you can cherry pick all the bloggers you like reading.

I also feel there isn't much for the community of Gameriot to do besides post a blog or post a comment, so I still think there should be groups you can join. They have little purpose except for a bit of fun. Perhaps they could evolve into something more than this over time.

I hope that what I've written may spark a few things inside the admins heads or atleast give them something to ponder about. Gameriot is quite a unique website when it comes to the people on this website, and overall I do enjoy GR and what bloggers have to say. If anyone else has more suggestions on how to improve Gameriot throw it in a comment or pm slapnuts/kyle/rage as I'm sure they would appreciate some ideas or be interested in what the community has to say .

- Nobbeh.

Where'd The Quality Go?

I've been quiet in terms of blogging over the last week, and Gameriot in general has been moving slowely too. There's been a few interesting articles about, and it's good to see some new bloggers pop up and give blogging a go. Some of them are not so good, others are interesting yet the question remains - can they keep up that quality and do it frequently enough?

My favourite upcoming blogger must be Brilliance. Some of his blogs have been very interesting and incredibly well written, and in my opinion could fit in the top three in terms of quality writing. However, I fear that Brilliance may be slightly frustrated, as you can see from his blog What Is WoW-Riot? I hope his frustration wont result in him creating troll blogs of the sort, as that would be a shame to see such quality blogs turn into nothingness.

I've been pondering this for awhile during the time I'm drifting through Gameriot, but I still cannot understand why Ming or Jasi get paid money to blog on Gameriot. Starting with Ming, he's the reason for the vast majority of people being here. Without him originally hyping Gameriot, this site would probably be near dead. Hell if it wasn't for Ming i wouldn't even be here. The problem for me with Ming is, is that the overall quality of his blogs have deteriorated so much that it pales in comparison to what he used to write.

Even if Ming does write some dribble, it doesn't compare to the lameness to the low quality writing that Jasi produces. See Jasi is very similar to 50 Cent, he started of reasonable. Nothing spectacular, yet it wasn't horrific either. Slowely but surely he became worse and worse and started kicking up pathetic drama and prolonged it as long as possible (Bey Drama anyone?). He has now become the laughing stock of bloggers on Gameriot. It's come to such a point that people are blogging about how bad Jasi is at blogging. Infact looking at his latest blog, the title tells us all we need to know. He's planning on interviewing Neilyo and BG9 is still the best! Thankfully he is summerizing his blogs in his titles to save everyone's time of reading his dribble so they can get on to trolling the hell out've him.

Now I'm sure someone will say 'Well Nobbeh, your blogs suck compared to theirs and ur just jealous they get paid!!' or something like that, however I don't get paid to blog and im far younger than they are. How could you expect a teenager to top a professional (lol) paid blogger? Would i say i'm jealous of them? Not really, more annoyed at the unfairness presented here.

I'm curious to see how many unique hits WorldOfMing gets, and how many Jasi and Ming each get. It would be interesting to see exactly how many more they get monthly compared to the likes of Vir. I am also interested in seeing how much they get paid, I recall Ming saying it pays more than a part time job would a long time ago however i wonder if he was just trolling there or not.

I just felt that this was worth mentioning, and i'm sure a certain amount of people do enjoy their ramblings. The same sorta people who would enjoy watching fox news i would suspect.

- Nobbeh

Birthday Cake Plx

I've been blogging here for a whole year now guys. Pretty fun experience so far, and hopefully more to come. However I'm wondering if there's anything people would like me to blog about or prefer me not to blog about. Generally I'm just blogging whatever I think of during the day, or if something affects me on the day however this can lead to some rather low quality blogs sometimes as I cannot get enough material to flesh it out. I'm willing to try pretty much anything, and if i could get a WOTLK beta key, I would be covering Warlocks however i doubt i'll be getting that anytime soon .

It's funny looking back at your old blogs sometimes, I just looked back at my first ever blog. At the time I thought i was entering some website for PvP Gods. Yeah, Ming really hyped it that much. You trolls who hate my blog entries now would've hated it more back then, look at the way i was laying the blog out. Ha!

Incase you didnt know, there's a solar eclipse today. No idea if it will be visible for a lot of you, but worth a look. Here's the Solar Eclipse page. Have a look and see if you can see anything if you get the chance

- Nobbeh

If Obama Haters Need Another Reason To Hate

You know, if I was Obama's favourite rapper i would feel in a way, honoured that i was his all time favourite. Would I boast about it, maybe. But I wouldn't do it the way Ludacris has done. He is no better than the average racist white American in his latest track, and he should feel ashamed for the track he has done really. All you Obama haters will most likely enjoy this track simply because they will be able to use it as fuel in a McCain Vs Obama debate. The ignorance in this song of his is just amazing, and clearly saying 'vote for Obama because he's Black!' and not for the positive reasons Obama could become president. Here's the video

Luda could've actually done something really good out've this song but instead he made himself look like an embarresment to not only all blacks, but all Obama voters too. Truth is i never thought Luda was any good in the first place, all this does is reaffirm my point. Nas' track called Black President may well be promoting Obama, but atleast he's doing it in a non moronic way. Hell, Nas questions whether Obama may even be using his race to his advantage while Luda is hating on Hilary, McCain and Bush.

I know which i would prefer to be promoting me if i was Obama.

As I Sit Here

I can't help but wonder why some people are the way they are, and what makes them not able to think logically and have the ability to apply common sense. It isn't uncommon to find people who are very intelligent and are in a highly respectable job yet for some reason they're also highly religious. It baffles me how someone can be like that, it's almost contradictory in my eyes - An intelligent highly religious person. Whatever floats their boat though I guess, they're not really doing any harm by believing in whatever they believe. What amazes me more are the parents who are so selfish they destroy their own childs life. Whether it be through getting their children into drugs, beating them or simply not caring for them whatsoever.

You see, my mother and stepfather last year qualified to be foster parents. Although I don't live with them, I was against their decision to want to become foster parents. I didn't want to see mongoloid children rampaging through the house. I didn't want to see some chavvy guy come into this house and possibly hurt my family. Their ill's are not mine, so why should i care about them?

Last christmas came the first kid, my mother had told me about him and he sounded genuinely like a decent kid with a bad past. My initial thoughts were that he would be the usual 15 year old kid with the common enjoyments 15 year olds had. No way was I prepared for what I was about to see. As I walked into my mothers home, I see this boy.. Who looks no older than a small 12 year old boy. He looked at me and he smiled, presenting a wrecked set of chipped, charcoal coloured teeth. Curious to how he would act around me, I watched every move he made. My first meal with him was interesting, as he was clearly not used to the concept of table manners or cutlery. On top of this he wasn't used to the variety of food he was being presented either, as his diet predominately consisted of dry bread a few sweet and... Cardboard. As the weeks went by, i learnt that his favourite activities were playing on the Nintendo Wii and playing my sisters old Barbie games and his ambition in life was to be a bus driver, as he often would sit riding a bus allday as to relax. This kid also acted like he had down syndrome most the time, so overall i shrugged this kid off as a special needs guy who has no hope in life. Several months later, after returning home I get told this kid gets taken away and is put into a place of mentally disabled kids.

About 5 weeks ago, my mother gets called at 2 am and told they have a new foster kid and it's an emergency and asked if she could take him. She being the kind soul she is, said yes. After my mum ringing me the next day telling me about this new kid and what he's like, i had a feeling that once again this was going to be a downy kid. After a long trip on the coach up to Nottingham i finally get to my mums house and see this kid, he was by far and away a normal kid except for the fact he was smaller than the downy kid. He was barely taller than my 9 year old sister. Instantaneously, I put him down to being a special kid as he was so small and measily. How wrong I was.

I've spent about a whole month with this boy in this house, and he's nothing less than an idiot. Everything I do, he challenges me. I watch TV he decides he will watch TV. I will go to sit in the front of the car, he will argue with me that he deserves to sit in the front. Hell, he even uses the mug with my name on as claims its his. At points i will go and get a drink and come back and he will be sitting in my chair refusing to move from it. The problem is i cannot resort to violence as that would get my parents into trouble, so what can i do to stop him being a douche? I've spoken to my parents yet they shrug it off as him being the way he is and he just wants attention. Truth is this kid has never had any older brothers, so maybe he's not sure how to act around them or maybe he's just being a **** because he can. He's your usual northern scum chav though.

As much as I dislike this kid I still cannot help but feel some sort of degree of sympathy for him and other kids in his position, even if they're not right in the head. It really does make you wonder how some people can do that to their kids and why they decide to do it. Before my parents decided to foster kids, I was pretty snobbish towards the idea however now that they're doing this foster care thing, it really can be an eye opener into the harsh reality.

- Nobbeh

Wordz Of Wisdom

Like Jasi reminds us often, It isn't easy to spew out a quality blog post every few days, even harder when your trying to think of something that isn't WoW or sometimes isn't even gaming related. Most of the time for me it isn't the topic that's hard to come up with, it's fleshing it out to a high standard that is the real challenge.

Having grown up in both The UK and Belgium, I would say i have always been surrounded by immigrants and ethnic minorities. I must admit however, that in most cases I would prefer to be near blacks, indians, chinese and arabs than around white english kids. Simply because White kids are some of the most volotile beings i've ever came across. Nobody will spew out racist comments like them and they tend to be more disrespectful towards everyone than anyone else.

As I grew up in predominately white communities and went to all white schools for the first 13 years of my life, I noticed that white kids need to pick on someones appearance for whatever reason. Thus i became the target because of my supposedly asian looking eyes. As a kid i always put it down to kids being retards however I still get mocked for looking slightly asian by my stepfamily. Hey what can you expect when you grow up in a racist family, eh?

The dislike towards immigrants in the UK is beyond moronic. Anyone who has lived in England all their life seems to hate the idea of change, especially when it is an immigrant proposing change. Quite understandable if you look at what this country has become. You can't walk down the street without hearing multiple languages. Some areas of The UK have become so different that the English population feels alienated when visiting it. Nobody can deny that the English Education system is terrible though, what I was learning in year 6 and year 7 in Belgium i was still learning in year 11 in England. I was a subpar student at french, while in England I'm predicted A* in it. Thing is most of the English population are well aware that their compulsory education system is complete douche and will happily bash it, however as soon as the foreigner comes in and joins in bashing it. The English suddenly turn around and claim it's the best education system in the world.

I have always been a man of equality, any stranger that would speak to me, i would always treat them all equal; with respect and politeness. If i believe someone isn't being treated fairly i would question why. Hell, i remember getting so infuriated at how my teacher in 4th grade appeared to treat some kids far worse than others that i launched my desk at her. Obviously my desk didnt fly very far, as i was only about 9 years old however she was forced to make all the pupils leave the class room and try to calm me down. At the end of it my hands were pretty messed up and i achieved the status of psychopath within my school.

Now that I've nearly been on Gameriot a whole year, I've read some interesting and rather intellectual posts which are considered gems amongst the heavy amount of troll blogs really. Although I never fully understood them, I always was keen to learn about the specific subject of that blog. Trolls are quick to bash me for my opinion on specific subjects and rarely ever give any insight into anything worthwhile. Take my music blogs for example and how people hated on me for liking Lost Prophets, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. People were quick to hate on all mainstream music i like and claim that their random band is so much better. Well guess what, your random band would be famous if they were any good. But they're not, nobody knows them so they must not be doing something right. Lost Prophets, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit may not have the most skilled guitar play or the most interesting of lyrics, however it sounds good so why hate on it?

Oh and before I forget, here's a picture of me. If you want more you're just going to have to add me to myspace, the link is in the sidebar. So yeah, Hate on me.

Guys, I Listen To Rock Music Too!

Believe it or not, I do listen to rock music too. Anyone who has checked out my profile would know this. Most of it that i like i've picked up from watching PvP movies over the course of 3 years. At first when i heard them, i couldn't bear the sound, however I matured and came to enjoy a lot of this stereotypical PvP music. Therefore, you shouldn't be too surprised to see them in my top 10. I do not have a huge quantity of a lot of these artists songs and in most cases i don't even know what album a lot of them are from. I would not be surprised if a lot of these bands were inspired by Led Zeppelin either.

Staind is my Number 1. Always loved their music, music sounds great and great lyrics too. Mudshovel, For You, Price To Play, Outside, Pressure, So Far Away and the above song Believe, which is from their forthcoming album are song pretty immense songs.

So yeah, enjoy my rock music.

Led Zeppelin. No Thanks.

In Kaex' most recent blog, he questioned why some people he had come across didn't know who Led Zeppelin was and felt the need to enlighten those who do not know who he is.I suppose back when they were relevant, they were considered one of the most talented musicians ever, and many teenagers adopted them as their rolemodel, which is what has led to a lot of bands that are around today sounding similar to Led Zeppelin. The truth is, the vast majority of youth today has zero interest in Led Zeppelin is and probably never will.

Times have changed and now there are different rolemodels for youngsters, and like most rolemodels, parents don't like them as they're considered 'a bad influence'. However in this day and age, who do most youngsters model themselves after?

Tupac Amaru Shakur.

Now I'm pretty sure most parents **** a brick when their child starts listening to 2pac. What they would see in the above picture is a black man with THUG LIFE and guns tatooed onto him. Resulting from this, they probably believe their child will turn into some drug abusing, gang affiliated youngster and that they will probably be burying their child before it hits the age of 20 if they let them listen to such offensive music.

You see, I grew up idolizing 2pac. Everything he did and everything he said automatically filled my mind and raised questions, as a lot of what 2pac said challenged what my parents had told me. 'Policemen would never beat up a man simply because he was black right? Policemen are the good guys they would never do something like that!' The whole bubblewrap that parents strangle their children in to protect them from reality suddenly gets dispelled once they start listening to his music, and this is what partly scares parents.

On top of this, 2pac and rap music in general glorifies guns, gang mentality, has heavy use of swearwords and includes disrespectful comments towards women.

Now you see, if every youngsters idol was Marilyn Manson or The Murderdolls, parents may be worried, however it's not like their child would suddenly turn into some sort of Satanist of Antichrist while if they listen to the likes of 2pac, the possibility of them winding up in gang related conditions is far more realistic.
Despite a lot of people thinking 2pac was a menace, a lot of his lyrics taught me about life, and helped me along the way. He taught me about the injustice in society and how cruel the world can be.

As legendary as Led Zeppelin is, I doubt Led Zeppelin ever had as much influence on the young like 2pac did. Nor do I believe Led Zeppelin actually wanted to change things in the world, they were just a very good group of musicians. I doubt they came from some of the poorest areas and had to deal with the problems 2pac did. I doubt they did anything to help anyone but themselves. 2Pac was out there, helping the poor, helping them try and get somewhere. Yes he was enjoying the money he was making yet he was happily teaching children to have respect for yourself, teaching that drug dealing and gun crime wasn't the way to go. Even though he contradicts himself at points, he was always true to his cause.

And that is why nobody is interested in Led Zeppelin Kaex. They're not relevant today. Until the worlds Ill's are cured, 2pac will always be relevant.

Some of my favourite 2pac tracks -

2pac - Nothing To Lose
2pac - Pain
2pac - Under Pressure
2pac - Holla At Me
2pac - Holler If Ya Hear Me

"If you walked by a street and you was walking on the concrete and you saw a rose growing from the concrete, even if it had messed up petals and it was a little to the side you would marvel at just seeing a rose grow through concrete. So why is it that when you see some ghetto kid grow out of the dirtiest circumstance and he can talk and he can sit across the room and make you cry, make you laugh, all you can talk about is my dirty rose, my dirty stems and how I am leaning crooked to the side?" - Tupac Amaru Shakur RIP.

Computer Noobage.

Hello Gameriot, I am here today to ask you clever people about Computers today. Let me explain the situation, forgive me for possible idiocy and lack of knowledge on pc's

my stepdads old pc has 5 drives, the C drive is 40gb while the others are all 20gb. He's absolutely adamant that having a lot of smaller drives is by far a lot better than one big drive. Is this true?

The PC is so cluttered with his junk, that for some reason whenever i try to update firefox, It downloads then starts to extract it gets to 41% then closes. I even tried installing Firefox 2 update from my PCFormat disk, and that doesnt work. What the hell. I then load up the old version of Firefox 2 and it tries to update through that, i let it and then it completely crashes so firefox wont even open up. I uninstall Firefox and try to download it, and it gets stuck on extracting so basically i can no longer install Firefox.

I figured that the pc was so messed and so slow so i decided to do what i did for my own pc, and was to clean the temp files out to try and make it run faster, worked fine on my pc so it should work fine on this pc, right? Wrong. I did this and now something in windows is corrupt so i can't even start it up. GG. Why is this?

See, my stepdad is a 'pro' at pc's yet he stores so much trash on his PC it's untrue. Now that i've pwned his pc maybe he will delete the games on it from 10 years ago.
Will I Regret Trolling?

With the internet i have always wondered what sort of impact it will have on people and what it could do in your favour and against you in the future. The internet is very good at giving you the possibility of being E famous which could spill over into real fame in the real world however, have you ever considered how trolling the internet could work against you in the future?

Now I have trolled websites with retarded stuff, hell i even lurk 4chan sometimes. Could trolling those websites have an impact on my future? Could my racist jokes that i post on websites possibly lock me out've jobs in my future?

I mean, when you're a kid growing up, you really don't know what the hell you really want to be in most cases hell it's still so far away you don't really care. Look at Barack Obama, look at his past and how people are so worried that he's some crazy terrorist muslim because of the people he's been around when growing up. Could my hanging around with 4channers cracking black jokes ever come back to haunt me in the future?

It's something I've really been wondering about. My generation is really the first one that can communicate with anyone around the world with ease, so way the world will spin we really don't know until it happens.

Nobbeh

PS - I've currently grown an interest in Philosophy, so if anyone wants to comment or drop me a PM with some interesting stuff please do so, don't mind what areas of it it is, im just interested. thanks peeps.

Top Ten Nas Tracks

Since today Nas' Album 'Untitled' is out in stores, i thought it would be suitable to have a nostalgic moment and post my favorite 10 tracks of the best rapper alive and arguably the best of all time.

Originally i was a typical hip hop noob and was like EVERYONE BESIDES 2PAC EMINEM AND D12 IS ****. After awhile i started getting bored of them and got linked Nas and this track in particular. Ever since then it's been one of my favourite songs and was the song that made me into the Nas fan i am today! I know all the verses of this track of the top of my head and used to sit in class just rapping it in my head. The lyrics in this song just made me go OH MY GOD! One day in the nearby future i plan to do my own version of Halftime - World Of Warcraft version (I am serious btw).

In closing, incase you haven't heard it, here's Nas new single - Hero

Islamophobia

The hatred Islamic people face these days is unbelievable, and most cases they face this hatred for no other reason than the fact that the haters are uneducated narrow minded fools. However, even realising the previous mentioned fact I am still in mixed feelings about Islamic people, and for very fair reasons.

Ever since 9/11 and the war on Afghanistan, there has been a growing fear of the muslim. The stereotypical image of the muslim is always depicted as something along the lines of a turban wearing Arabic man; terrorist or suicide bomber or in the case of a muslim woman the image of a woman dressed in a veil will be dominant. The reality is, is that more often than not, islamic people are not dressed like this unless they're from a very strict and old fashioned household. Most islamic youths in particular, dress just like any other group of people, while the older muslims will remain keen to stick to their older fashioned values. This is just something I've noticed in my area atleast.

Now I know many very friendly islamic folks and one of my favourite artists who I look up to more than any other artist is a muslim, yet why am I so keen to want to impose similar ideas to France? It is well known that France has banned the wearings of turbans and burqas yet yesterday they've denied a woman citizenship to France on the grounds that her religion is "not compatible with French values". When I first read this i thought to myself 'Good, finally another country cracking down on islamic people'. However, is my judgement clouded by fear of islamic people despite having good muslim friends?

The media is a big reason why their is such Islamophobia around the world. Take future president Obama for example. The fact that he might've been a muslim was more important to discuss than his views towards particular issues. The possibility that he was a muslim and that me might've been planning to side with Bin Laden was more important to discuss than how impressive some of his speeches have been. the fact that a black man named Barack Hussein Obama might become the future president of one of the most powerful countries in the world seemed to shock people. I think more people were worried that the fact that he was a potential islamic man than the fact he was black. When people go to insult him he's nicknamed Osama. The media really manipulates peoples opinions through such fear mongering tactics.

In the UK, hating muslims appears to be acceptable. I recall incidents at school where two people were arguing. One was an arabic muslim student while the other was a simple moronic chav. This chav used insults such as 'Shut up Terrorist' and 'Go blow something up'. The teacher didn't confront the white boy over his derogatory comments which in my opinion sends a signal that hatred towards islamic people is an okay thing to do. This muslim student didn't even comment on this chavs skin colour (he's surrounded by a whole class of white kids, it would be suicide to do so).

The hatred for muslims in my opinion doesn't stem completely from 9/11 or the 7/7 bombings or even the war in Iraq & Afghanistan. It derives from political correctness and the government wanting to change the country to be a multicultural country. This causes a lot of native white people to dislike immigrants and in particular muslims when they see job priority to muslims & mosques set up in areas. Not only this, but a lot of hatred also comes from the fact that English values are challenged by immigrants and too politically correct politicians. I believe that a lot of foreigners are fine with adapting to English standards and in my opinion many countries would be better off doing what Australia did.

I am confused as to why i am so contradictory in my views on Islam. Why can i accept muslims yet at the same time applaud ideas like mentioned above?

In closing,

Nobbeh.

The Iphone Could've Revolutionized Social Interaction More Than The Internet

The Iphone could become something much more than it is at the moment, yet it has failed to do so.

Imagine what the world would be like if it really had the feature mentioned within the video, and the feature isn't exactly out of technological reach, far from it even.

What do you think?

http://ipower.ning.com
