We don't care what you think; We're in love!

Just released the Mahiko + Buddhist 2v2 video, and it's broken 110,000 dls/day. I want more though.

Mahiko made the video. I probably won't be making any more videos, as WoW is ****. I'm gonna be playing darkfall, like every other PvPer who knows of the game. I'll be founding TKoE on DFO, and that's where I'll produce my future videos.

So yeah, I play guitar, sup

K I made the title something I thought Ming would never click on. Let's hope I was right.

There is a female Serennia on my server, black dragonflight. Ming intends to compare her to the starving chinese worker Serennia.

PS: You may think I have some obsession with Ming, however, that's quite wrong. I don't really care about him, but he's a funny subject to bring up, and it's definitely always good to call out his blogs before he makes them.

And here she is:

(lol wtf)

He'll probably read this anyway.
One girl's PvE gear, its effect in arena, and her drawings

Many of you probably already know of Viole, female irl. She has the unique and rare physical capability of licking her own elbow. This gives her a clear advantage in arena. Really though, think it's a coincidence her AP minus her haste rating is ~equal to her 2v2 rating? I don't. I know what's going on here. She makes it all clear in her drawings:

Can you make the patterns?
[Video] Buddhist Enlightenment on WCM

This is my first attempt at a serious world PvP video, and I think it's my best video yet. The scenes are rather good skill-wise, but I created this video purely for entertainment purposes. I still feel like I'm a novice to editing, but I'm satisfied with my work. Also notice that I have my cursor enabled. I thought it'd be for the better to have that bit of extra info and understanding of what I'm doing, even if you can't see it (due to me holding down right click) 99% of the time. Check out the other video that I made which is actually good (http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=74055)

What to expect:
-World PvP (Mostly Quel'danas)
-A bit of 1v1 (clips chosen for various reasons)
-Duels with Lewt before he transfered to Mal'Gayness.
-Voice acting
-EDITING

What to not expect:
-Arena

Music:
- Vivaldi (holophonic)
- Southside - Moby
- Go - Moby
- Death is the road to awe - Clint Mansell
- Run - Gnarls Barkley
- The kids are not all right - The Offspring
- Lift me up - Moby
- The Quiet place - In flames
- Lex - Ratatat

Voice actors:
-Psychronic
-Buddhist
-Mahiko
-Lewt
They were chosen for good reason!

Programs used:
-World of Warcraft
-FRAPS 2.9.4
-WoW Model Viewer
-WoW Map Viewer
-Sony Vegas Pro 8

Thanks to the beta testers for your great advice on the video, and thanks to WCM for such an awesome site.

I hope you enjoy the vid.

Faction, infamous troll and trash talker, buys gladiator from yog 2 seasons running

Yes that's right, everyone's least favorite blog/forum troll is buying gladiator from YOG once again in season 3. I tried to ask Yog himself about it, but apparently there's a confidentiality clause involved in his contract.

Anyways, see for yourself:

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/team-info.xml?r=Mal%27Ganis&ts=2&t=XBOXRULES&select=XBOXRULES

Faction attempted to play with merciless gladiator xarrio/clicker, then got a druid for xarrio to play on, but that wasn't good enough, so he went to Yog to satisfy his lust for a title. Now he doesn't even have to do anything except hide in the back while Yog demolishes the other players (they spend the whole game looking for his druid).

I had speculated earlier this year that his only reason for transfering to Malganis was because Yog did first, and now I see that my predictions were indeed true. This is a sad day for all those who think gladiator titles still mean something =(

edit: incriminating screenshot and another... interesting chatlog below--

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y111/masshax/factionbuysglad.jpg

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y111/masshax/factionnudepatch.jpg

Vent recording of Ming dom'd in 3s by dpriest/rogue/moonkin,

Lewt, Buddhist, and the bad disc priest they carry in 3s **** on Ming's rogue rogue druid team today because they thought leaving the druid open when he can drop 5k starfires with 1 second casts was a good idea. They blew ming up every time because he's bad at cloaking burst, lols.

But yeah, ming thinks a moonkin can't cc as well as a mage, burst, or do decent sustained dps, so he just leaves him wide open every game. He also blames the losses on akumos being mutilate instead of shs when they killed MING first every time.

Some things to listen out for:

-not fixeh, he never talks
-Ming sounds like a coked up white kid with a lisp, he doesn't sound asian at all
-Lewt sounds incredibly handsome
-Tilc sounds incredibly gay (he's the goofy retard)
-Ming rages over how buddhist got his vent, then says "you're not famous enough to talk to me"

anyways I'm sick of thinking up more bull**** for exp, so without further ado:

http://files.filefront.com/Ming+thinks+mutilate+is+tdmp3/;10005089;/fileinfo.html

edit #1 disproving ming: http://files.filefront.com/lewt+blowing+people+upavi/;10005223;/fileinfo.html

yeah moonkins definitely can't burst

Cooldown's Comprehensive Guide to Running the Euro Comp

Yes the guide all you rogues have been waiting for, my comprehensive guide to a successful euro comp (Warlock + Mage + Resto Druid + Healing debuffer + healer) 5v5 team!

Step 1: Find a warlock, a mage, and a druid who all have mics and are good at spamming CCs all over the place. Teach them to yell at each other when they cast CCs because yelling is always better than macros or talking.

Step 2: Find a priest (if you're a rogue) who has pain suppression, mana burn, and dispel bound. Make sure you tell him a target to chase around mana burning for most of the match, and YELL (don't just speak) at him when you need dispels or PS.

Step 3: Spec Shadowstep with 3/3 cheat death. This allows you to be a tunnel vision scrub on the mage/lock (it depends on the team you play) since cheat death is so broken. I prefer 20/0/41 for full vile poisons but it doesn't matter cause any team with a druid will still abolish your wound off all the time (lol wtf, this comp has a weakness? please fix). The hardest part of your job is deciding whether to get on the mage or the lock if you fight a team with one of each. That, or remembering to just tunnel vision your focus target and not do anything skilled like tab gouge or blind since you mess up DRs.
WoW Arena: An E-Sport which is unappreciated

Often times, people will claim that WoW arenas are a joke of an e-sport, as if skill is minimally involved compared to other games. It seems true at first glance, but it is not so. It's time people came to understand that WoW is as competitive and functional an E-Sport as any other game, the only difference being that a lot of the skill doesn't involve game play itself. The results of matches are more in the control of the players than some may think, it's just that the players have to make the right decisions before the match begins. Yes, teams counter each other, and that's where half the challenge comes into the game--proper team composition.

In WoW arena, there is planning and execution. Of course, when you only consider the execution, WoW seems like a joke of an E-sport; little skill is required to decently play the majority of classes in the game. When you consider, though, that the teams must make careful consideration before the match to try and counter each opponents teams, to properly gear, and to properly spec, the game shines through on a whole new level. Choosing your team comp is like playing chess; you have to predict the opponent's move and counter it, thinking steps ahead. The players must also choose how to spec and gear themselves for each comp they play in and against, for more survivability; dps; or mobility. On top of that, tourney players must often learn and near master several classes, not just one, to truly compete at the highest level.

Yes, luck is also a major factor in game play, but in tourneys, it's a double edged sword. Both teams have an equal shot at being lucky or unlucky, and, in all likelihood, it will average out in the end. I am very against RNG dependent things in the game--the less the better--but when it comes to arena, it all averages out in the long run. Getting unlucky (or even overly lucky) is no fun, but it doesn't usually affect the long term end result of the game.

So next time someone laughs when arena is called an e-sport, tell them it's part chess, part math, and part FPS.
3v3 Tourny to happen AFTER patch 2.4

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/tournament/index.xml

This is probably the most important piece of information yet released involving the tourny.

The tournament realms will be running the same version of World of
Warcraft as the live realms. Thus, there should be no disparity in game
balance between the two realm types. The first iteration of the
tournament will begin sometime after the release of Fury of the
Sunwell, the next major content update for World of Warcraft. Any
patches or hotfixes that may affect the live realms after the
tournament begins will also be applied to the tournament realms.

I don't have much to comment on here, because the implications are quite obvious. The only question left now is if S4 gear will be available with or soon after 2.4's release, which would make Sunwell gear available as well.

Also, interesting to note is that the picture used in the page shows Merciless gear instead of Vengeful...

Surely Vengeful (and tier 6) will be available for the event realm when it is finally released...
[Video] Motion Casting, also I went ShS

S1, when I'd imagine the most ridiculous 2v2, I thought of ShS Rogue +
Balance druid, because both specs were so bad. Kinda funny that that's
the set up I successfully play now.

Lately, Lewtipie has been talking to Miayr(his 2250 RMP would be higher right now, but his team's mage, Saqe, has a broken computer) about his spec. Lewt suggested I spec something similar. I argued that the DPS would be terrible, and it wouldn't work in our 3v3(triple dps). His idea was that the increased mobility and ability to target swap more freely would consequently win us games, citing a game we had lost due to my inability to switch to a resto druid after using sprint. Well, Miayr (among many other Rogues) have been successful as the spec, which seemed to indicate that the spec must not be quite as terrible as I recalled. I decided to try it.

My current spec is 20/0/41. I decided to take imp evi over ruthlessness, as I find the ability for a quick 3k finisher on a low hp druid to be quite useful (I've 32.5% crit in 2v2). Dropping ruth also allowed me to get full vile poisons, which is a win. I took 1/2 HS to have an advantage over anyone with MoD yet no HS. I put the other left over point in enveloping shadows, which adds to my snare resist.

It was my 2nd time being Shadowstep, the first time was only for
a day or so pre-buff. We 2v2'd 13 games, going 12 and 1... the one
loss being due to my inexperience in the spec, trinketing a KS when I
could have saved it (due to ShS survivability). I haven't gotten to try it in my unique 3v3 yet, but I'm pretty excited to. I never realized I lacked mobility in 2v2, until I gained more mobility
and saw what a difference it made. Also, cheat death is beastly and
saved us a couple games. Still, though, it seems to me that the survivability of Shadowstep is actually beneficial in 2v2, and won't be in 3v3. We'll find out tomorrow.

Btw, I finished off my Vengeful (aside from the worthless throwing
weapon), 5/5 and both weapons. Perfectly gemmed and enchanted. I have
about 1900 AP, 32.5% crit, 350 resil, 7.7% hit, 4600 armor, 25% dodge
and 5% parry in 2v2.

Lots of people have been requesting a real PvP video from me, so we both fraps'd every game. We'll continue to get footage and put together a vid in a bit.

Till then, here's a video I put together very quickly, involving a bug which lets you cast while moving. (it's submitted to the site, but won't be approved for a couple hours after I submit this blog)
Obviously rogues have no castable abilities, so I used some of my minions' characters to do it.

Seems they've admitted that they aren't even trying to deal with class balance until wotlk releases. Does that mean the game will actually be balanced when it releases?
Buddhist's Comprehensive Guide to Wall Walking

We were doing MC the other day, working on getting the Doomkin, Lewt, his Hand of Rag, when we started wall walking. A few of us had no problem, while the other couple people had no idea how to wall walk.
"No idea how to Wall Walk!? What blasphemous notion is this!?", I stormed! I decided then that I should teach people how it works, its history, and how to do it, and that's what you'll find in this video. I quickly explain the physics in WoW as well, with no less than 1960s graphics!

I hope you learn something and enjoy! Good luck!

Buddhist's Guide to 2.3.2 Rogue Specs. AR/Prep, Combat, Trispec, and Mutilate

Originally posted this on Arena Junkies. Decided to spread it here.

***If you are specced swords or maces, and I put the talents into the one you aren't, then just switch them, obviously.***

I did not include ShS in this guide, because it is trash.

AR/Prep 0/34/27 or 0/33/28:

Though it's being nerfed, it's definitely not dead. The main benefit of
this spec is the high mobility. Losing an AR might not drastically
affect you, depending on your team.

To start off there are two real ways to spec AR/Prep. That is, with
riposte or without riposte. Neither is better than the other, they are
simply situational... it all depends on your team setups(whether you
get focused or not).

With riposte: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZhbEzbVt0M0RZxMe0MuRob
Without riposte:http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZhfVbbVt0M0RZxMe0MuRoh

Now I'll explain why you have each talent, and don't have some others that seem good.
Combat:
Imp Gouge: Gouge is amazing in arenas... if Imp Gouge isn't useful for you, then you aren't gouging enough.
Lightning Reflexes: Because obviously you don't need imp SS.
Deflection/Riposte: Taking Riposte really depends on the setups
you run. Is your main set up an arena team in which YOU get focused? If
so, riposte is best for you. Personally, I barely get touched on my
teams, so I don't need.
Imp SnD: SnD is a great finisher, and you should keep it up as much as possible in arenas.
Endurance: Even in a triple dps 3v3, some matches last a long time, and having an extra sprint can win you the match.
Precision/Duel Wield spec: These 2 talents increase your DPS by a GREAT deal.
Imp sprint: Obvious mobility buff.
Not Imp Kick: Despite what a lot of people would like to
believe, throwing a 2 second silence on to a 5 second interrupt is next
to useless. You should just use your kicks to cancel casts for the 5
second interrupt... don't waste the CD on a 2 second silence.
Blade Flurry: Awesome dps increase for bursting a target down.
Weapon Expertise: This is actually a really underrated talent.
You'd be dumb to not get weapon expertise as ar/prep, because it's a
2.5% dps increase against casters, and a 5% dps increase against
anything that can parry. That's a **** ton of dps increase from 2
talent points.
Mace/Sword spec: Really depends on what you prefer, and whether
or not you play with a SP. I've been both. I focus on my 3v3, and 3v3
with a shadow priest. Black out and Mace stun share DR, so I'm specced
swords. Also, in double dpses and triple dpses, the extra dps of sword
spec can be more beneficial than the mace stun.
Nerves of Steel: Nerves of Steel is almost always better than 4%
AP. It's a 10% stun/fear resist, which is very, very good. You might
have noticed I don't have it though, and there's one simple explanation
for it: triple DPS 3v3. I need burst for this team. It's almost surely
better that YOU get NoS, though.

Subtlety:
Master of Deception: Not getting seen is obviously very important in arenas, so you can get your sap and opener.
Dirty tricks: This is awesome for obvious reasons.
Camouflage: I prefer 5/5 camo over getting ghostly strike or
anything else. This is simply because speed and mobility are extremely
important, and moving a little bit faster can make the difference
between catching that priest on a mount and losing him (while
stealthed).
Initiative: This really should be a 100% chance, but w/e. It's
still really useful for opening and getting an instant 3 point SnD
going for poison application.
Not Setup: Setup is bad. The only time you'd want setup is if you always get focused... but even then, it's still pretty bad.
Elusiveness: Decreased Blind CD; nuff said.
Serrated Blades/Hemo: As AR/Prep, hemo will always be better than SS, under every circumstance.
Prep: Self explanatory.
Dirty Deeds: This is a huge DPS buff, especially in arenas, where a target is kept alive around 10%, and you can't quite finish him off.
Deadliness: You should be stacking AP, so deadliness is better than Malice point per point.

Combat 12/42/7 or 19/42

Combat has been THE spec since resilience destroyed our class. It's
always been good, and probably always will be good until we can do GOOD
burst again.

12/42/7: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ebooZGcV0bVt0rhRtxM
19/42: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboLLZGcV0bVt0rhRt

I'm not going to be super redundant and explain every talent again, but I'll cover what's changed.

Malice, Ruthlessness, Murder, and Relentless strikes:These are
not optional talents in assassination. These are the reason you went
into assassination (particularly RS). They're a huge DPS increase.
Lethality: Huge meh. It barely increases your dps at all. I (among others) have done tons of math on it, and it's negligible.
Imp Poisons: Pretty good talent, when you think about it. Keeping poisons up can be tough.
MoD and Imp sap: These are 2 really useful talents for arena, simply because sap is such an important thing.
Blade twisting: This thing is underrated, imo. It's a very, very
difficult snare to remove, making it extremely useful for people who
can cleanse poisons (like druids).

Trispec 11/26/24:

The point of this spec is to keep hemo, and all the sub goodies (prep
ect), while still maintaining high dps. What you lose is AR, and all of
your burst with it.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboZhfV0bVzLzZxMe0MhRo
I specced this one swords, because taking 1/2 wex with 4/5 SwS is
better than 0/2 wex and 5/5 SwS. That isn't a choice you have to make
as maces (you're going for the stun, so you'd go 5/5 mace spec).

You get the 11 amazing DPS talents in the Assassination tree. Self explanatory.

Bladeflurry: Like I said before, this talent is a good dps boost, and pretty much the only thing you can call "burst" as this spec.
Not Riposte: If you get riposte, you can't really get your weapon spec, because duel wield spec is almost necessary.

The sub talents were already explained.

Mutilate 41/20 or 50/3/8 or 41/0/20:

The point of mutilate is either to burst or to apply poisons.

41/20: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboLgsikVohfV0bV
50/3/8: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ebREgsidVohZVMo
41/0/20: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eboLgsikVoZVMe0Mh

This can be explained as simply as
41/20: Max DPS
50/3/8: Max poisons and utility
41/0/20: Good DPS with good utility

So why spec one of these?
They all have their pros and cons.
To put it simply, AR/Prep will have excellent mobility, and good burst, but bad sustained damage (especially after losing the 2nd AR). Combat will have excellent burst and sustained DPS, but bad mobility. Trispec will have excellent sustained DPS and mobility, but not burst. Mutilate will have excellent utility and burst, but poor mobility.

This really does put you in a difficult position, and really the right spec depends on what you're concentrating on.

My triple dps is most important to me, so I'll probably be going 12/42/7 after 2.3.2. I need that dps with the imp sap.

If you're concentrating on 5v5, you'll probably want to be Mutilate for the poison upkeep.

Buddhist's Extensive Proposed Rogue Talent Rearrangements

Right now, without even changing our current class role. I know Blizzard wants us to be some stupid support class or something like that, but before any of that occurs, we should already look like this.

Before doing anything, read this:
-It may be overpowered to an extent, but it isn't imbalanced. If you think it's overpowered, find a way to tune it down, while leaving the talents where they are. Moving talents into logical positions may make the class OP, so find a way to make the talents worse, but not misplaced.

-You'll notice some of the stuff is out of date (Hemo, for example)... If I don't mention the change below, then I didn't make the change, so I assume patch 2.3.2 has taken effect on the talents before I made changes.

Proposed Talent Trees

Changes: Tons. Mainly rearranging. Deleted a useless talent, changed some other useless talents.
Assassination tree:
-Dagger specialization moved to Assassination tree.
-Effectiveness of Improved Backstab increased to 15/30/45%, Dagger Spec is now a prerequisite.
-Added Evasiveness: Increases chance to resist movement impairing effects by 3/6%.
-Replaced Improved Poisons with Pestilent Strikes: Increases the critical strike bonus of all attacks against poisoned targets by 6/12/18/24/30%.
-Master Poisoner now Reduces the chance your poisons will be resisted by 1/2/3/4/5%, increases your chance to resist poison affects by 6/12/18/24/30%, and increases your chance to apply poisons by 2/4/6/8/10%.
-Vigor now also reduces the energy cost of Backstab by 10.
-Improved Kidney Shot now increases damage done during Kidney Shot by 5/10/15%.
-Deadened Nerves is now a 3 point talent which reduces physical damage taken by 1/3/5%.

Combat tree:
-Duel Wield Specialization is now a first tier talent.
-Precision is now a second tier talent.
-Duel Wield Specialization is a prerequisite to Precision (reverse of what it used to be).
-Lightning Reflexes is a third tier talent in the Combat tree which now also increases the chance to avoid ranged attacks by 1/2/3/4/5%.
-Remorseless Attacks is now a forth tier talent which increases attack speed by 1/2%.
-Murder is now a forth tier talent in the Combat tree.

Subtlety tree:
-Improved Ambush now increases the critical strike chance of Ambush by 20/40/60%.
-Initiative now gives you a 30/65/100% chance to gain a combo point when Ambush, Garrote, or Cheap Shot.
-Ghostly Strike now costs 35 energy, and increases dodge chance by 15% for 10 seconds.
-Improved Eviscerate is now a forth tier talent in the subtlety tree, and now increases the damage done of Eviscerate by 10/20/30%.

Explanation for all this:
-Defined Tree roles. Assassination tree is the crit and poison tree. It's good for critting and poisoning, as well as the Imp kidney shot. Combat tree is for DPS. Subtlety is for burst and mobility.

-Backstab. It's our class defining ability, but no one uses it. Putting Dagger spec in the assassination tree with backstab spec as well as adding the energy reduction effect to Vigor should increase the viability of the spec, and reduce the uselessness of some other talents.

-Useless/Misplaced talents. Tons of talent points in our trees were completely useless or misplaced. Lightning Reflexes and Remorseless Attacks are good examples of completely useless talents.

-Scaling. For example, Vigor doesn't scale. It gives you 10 energy, which is negligible in an arena match, in which you will spend thousands of energy.

-Resilience. Blizzard clearly doesn't want talents that reduce the effectiveness of resilience, for resilience's whole purpose is to counter ridiculous crit. Instead of reducing resilience, I simply added more damage done with critical abilities when the target is poisoned, making crit viable in our Crit/Poison talent tree. Makes sense.

-Duel Wield Specialization is too important to be that deep in combat. Besides, think about it. We're ROGUES, our very class is specialized in Duel Wielding.

-Subtlety is more of the attempted instant burst tree, so Imp Eviscerate if better off there. Also, Eviscerate was too weak (and probably will still be even if the talent change I proposed were to go through).

-Mobility. Now it's pretty evenly distributed everywhere. The Assassination tree has a total of 15% resistance to movement impairing effects, but only one sprint (which doesn't break snares on its own). Combat tree has imp sprint and higher DPS, but no prep. Sub tree has prep and shadowstep, so it is still the most mobile tree, but still has the worst DPS.

Buddhist 7: Shiving Rogue... 1850+ Arena (while using no main hand)

Please Rate my video, and if possible and deserving spotlight/skilled vote it. ty ily <3
By the way, guys. If you see someone rate a video 1, and say something like "U R BAD!1!", you can click the little red x at the top right of their comment to report it.

"You there, Master Rogue, what is your profession?"

"I'm a Shiver, sir."

A Spartan cut off my right arm, so I no longer use a main hand. I use no stealth openers, I use no finishers, not even SnD (except in arenas). I only Shiv and unleash my Bankai.

This is something like 5 minutes of BGing/Duels, then 5 minutes of 1850+ rating 2v2 Arenas with a Doomkin partner.
This is honestly probably my most entertaining video that involves actual pvp. I put a lot of work into this one.

- The fights are not staged.
- The Arena matches are all over 1850 rating.

(Before you say anything about how little rating I get per win, blame that on the teams playing. Over 1900 rating in s3, you tend to get less than 10 rating per game.)
Buddhist 6: Master of Shunpo released on WCM

http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=54415

The 6th movie in the Buddhist series: Master of Shunpo.

This is a short video I made from a very small amount of fraps, from a very short period of time. In fact, the entire video's footage is from only a couple hours that I fraps'd wensday. The reason for this is that I was 2-day banned just after getting the footage.

The video fairly thoroughly demonstrates shunpo, and I hope you all enjoy it.

Please spotlight vote this if you have a WCM account. ty <3

Songs in order of appearance:
Man who sold the world - David Bowie (WCM promo)
The Trainman Cometh - Juno Reactor
Man who sold the world - David Bowie & Klaus Nomi
Remember me - Pendulum

Credits:
Buddhist - Perspective of the vid
Nickolai - Gave me the idea of where to use the bug, and was the end location of all my Shunpos back to base
Gunship - Shunpo Apprentice

Unbanned some time tonight =].

New PTR notes: ARF vs. ShS in 2.3.2

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html

I quote:

"Rogues

Ambush: The damage multiplier on this ability has been increased from 250% to 275%.

Cheat Death: When multiple attacks land simultaenously, all
those resolved after the attack which triggered Cheat Death will now
have their damage reduced by 90% as intended. However, the combat log
will still report them doing full damage.

Hemorrhage: Rank 4 of this ability no longer has its charges consumed by non-physical attacks and spells.

Hemorrhage weapon damage reduced from 125% to 110%, but the damage debuff has been increased.

Hemorrhage: This ability now correctly does additional damage when its debuff has already been applied.

Preparation now resets the cooldown of Shadowstep and no longer resets the cooldown of Adrenaline Rush.

Shadowstep now adds a 3 second, 70% movement speed increase.

Sinister Calling now also increases the percentage damage bonus of Hemorrhage and Backstab by 2/4/6/8/10%."

Let's have a look at these changes in detail:
Hemorrhage now benefits from its own debuff: Finally. Bravo to Blizzard for fixing a bug in a Rogue ability. That was a well needed change.

Prep no longer affects AR: My first impression: "WTF? Rofl, guess Rogues are done.". After a few seconds, though, I realized this prep change actually isn't that big a deal for an ARF rogue. The real advantage to prep in arena is the gained sprint and vanish for mobility. The extra AR was just icing on the cake, really. ARF rogues should be fine after this change. Shadowstep being on prep doesn't really matter all that much. The next thing I realized is that ShS is getting a few major buffs.

Shadowstep now adds a 3 second sprint: This is what rogues needed on shadowstep. Not a stun, but a self speed increase to guarantee the catch. This will make Shadowstep surely useful in arenas.

Sinister Calling increases hemo damage by 10 ******* percent: That's a lot. That's either 1.1*1.1, or 1.1+.1. It's most likely 1.1+.1, meaning hemo will do 120% with 5/5 SC with a more powerful debuff, meaning your hemos will do more damage after 2.3.2 than now, if you're shadowstep.

The problem still left with Shadowstep: sustained damage. Shadowstep still doesn't do enough sustained damage. 0/20/41 is probably the best shot at sustaining dps as ShS.

The solution: Perhaps Shadowstep shouldn't have sustained dps. Perhaps another change should occur which can increase the burst potential of the spec... I can imagine, if another increase to the burst capabilities were to occur, the spec could make burst viable for the first time since S1.

My fears in 2.3.2: That everyone will just spec back to 20/41, deep combat. Arena is so heavily dependent on sustaining dps, that we may not have an option.

What will most likely happen: Everyone will just stay ARF after 2.3.2, since the loss of a 2nd AR isn't that big a deal, and the loss in hemo damage is negligible.

Buddhist 6: Master of Shunpo -- Completed

So yeah, Buddhist 6 is actually done. And yes, I mean the real Buddhist 6, not some D2 footage that I made as a quick joke.

I know a couple people have been waiting for me to make another vid for a while, but every time I would get a little motivation, it would fade before I got enough footage. Well, I finally got a great reason to make another video, one which follows my first 4 vids' theme, rather than the 5th...

But honestly, I don't get what's up with people voting on WCM. The video which I think I put the least effort into (other than Time Sink, which wasn't part of the series) has a rating of 4.8 out of 5. The video which I put by far the most effort into has some terrible rating like 3.5. Wth? Buddhist 5 was a masterpiece. Mayhap the intro a bit long, but other than that minor detail, the video was simply amazing. In contrast: Wall-Walking Rogue? How is Wall-walking rogue a 4.8? How? You people make no sense when you vote! Point is, I recommend you all go watch Buddhist 5 again, perhaps skip my clever intro, and rate it reasonably.

ANYWAY, about Master of Shunpo:
I'd have linked the video here, if only WCM would allow me to upload it.
Damn you, WCM.

When ever WCM wants to cooperate instead of banning me again for no reason, I'll link the video here. Shouldn't be too long.

Considering this blog has nothing inherently breaking the ToS, posting a blog entry shouldn't be a problem. The blog entry itself simply happens to have a link to something which would have broken the ToS had it been posted on the forums directly.

Anyway, here's a mod which allows for direct communication between horde and alliance. Both the Horde and Alliance player must have the mod in order for the message to be translated. For example, if I wanted to talk to an alliance pal who has the mod himself, I would simply type "/bf hark!". The mod would translate "hark!" into a bunch of leet-speak gibberish, which the average person would not understand. My friend, however, has the mod himself, and would see nothing more than "hark!", with the gibberish hidden from view.
Usage:
/bf -- For say
/bfy -- For yell
/bfp -- For party
/bfg -- For guild
/bfr -- For raid

I hope everyone on BDF gets it quick so we can talk <3
