You can't keep a good director down. If any man deserves a lifetime achievement award when it comes to movies it is the genius German movie director Mr. Uwe Boll. Just look at this list of game-to-movie translations that Uwe (pronounced OOV-UH for those that don't know) has given us to enjoy: House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, BloodRayne, it's sequel, Postal, Far Cry and Dungeon Siege. That is a gamers dream right? Well unfortunately they all pretty much suck. I give House of the Dead a pass because it is so bad that I recommend it as a much watch. Postal really isn't as terrible as the others actually having some solid satire worth watching. Other than that The View is probably more watchable.Â
Considering his massive video game based body of work, let alone his other movies, how could he not win a lifetime achievement award?Â
There is a catch. The wasn't the Oscars, the S.A.G. awards; hell not even the MTV Movie Awards. This was the Razzie awards. According to Eurogamer this is was the first time since 1987 that the "Worst Career Achievement" award was handed out and the previous winner was the rubber shark from Jaws 1-4. Pretty elite company there Uwe, well done.Â
The good news he isn't finished yet. He has sequels in the works for more of his movies and he is going to keep following the industry trend of crappy movies as he bests it one step at a time. Congratulations!

Seriously, thanks! I am definitely watching that.
The guy is the biggest troll in hollywood, he does what he has to for publicity. I find him, though not his movies, very entertaining and I just eat up all his interviews.Â

Boll reminds me of mooslams. Extremely delusional. They take characteristics that totally define them and throw them on other people who are exactly the opposite. Just like the mooslams that call americans terrorists and say we're the ones that tree women like slaves. He should start making movies for the diaper heads.

ok, i'll ignore the ugly anti-german hate in these comments and try to explain why uwe boll manages to get funds.
there has been a loop hole in the german tax code for quite some time which has been closed a couple years ago. basically a german investor lowered the amount he was going to be taxed for by investing into boll's movies and at the same time this investment was 100% deductable. there's probably more to it, but i don't know every detail. there's also something called "cross-border leasing" between usa and germany. in the end, it didn't even matter whether boll's movies made the break-even point or not, the investors already made a very good deal.
why boll and not a decent director? first of all, german money accounted for roughly 20% of hollywood's budget in 2005, so not every investor chose boll. one point with boll is, the production firm had to be german to make the investments 100% deductable and others even say boll's movies were intended to suck, because losses were overcompensated, but i really don't know.

He isnt the worst director in the world, hell with a decent budget he may do some decent work. Dungeon Siege showed a bit of potential with some $$ behind it.Â
Cant be much worse then Paul W.S. Anderson or Michael Bay

come on, uwe boll is terrible. or he wants to be terrible, whatever. no need to sugarcoat his insults to film.
thankfully he isn't the only recognized german director, so..
btw what's wrong with michael bay? can't see why he qualifies as worst director ever.. not the best either, but average i'd say.

uwe boll is just like the Asylum...which makes awful zero budget movies with similar names/art to blockbuster films, and makes money off people confusing the two
he just sprung for video games, and depends more on association between the game and movie than actually confusing the two
