Much better speech than Palin. Not about how she ran her relatively obscure state or her completely unknown town. He talks about the current issues and not some attempt to say "hey I have some experience, lemme talk about the little I have done for 10 minutes".

Palin was introducing herself to the country, so she had to explain what she's done.
Alaska isn't obscure either, it's got an 11 billion dollar budget. Obama's never managed anything close.
Gore's speech was pretty good (I watched it live), but it put the minority crowd to sleep when he went captain planet for like 20 minutes talking about global warming.

Yeah, its unfortunate. However, it should help swing some of the younger college educated voters to Obama's side. No need to appeal to the minority crowd who are going to vote based on principle.

Last time I checked democrats focused on being victims just ask hilary. Oh and if I remember correctly Bill Clinton was the governer OF ARKANSAS because arkansas is SO MUCH BIGGER AND MORE RESPECTABLE THAN ALASKA and he was one of favored democratic presidents.

Its funny how you're going to generalize Hillary as being THE democrat who speaks for everyone. Because in that case under Bush and a republican controlled congress broke a U.N. Charter which stated that nations "shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state...*" which was ratified and signed by the Truman - the President of the United States in 1945. Treaties signed and ratified by the U.S. Congress pursuant to Article 5 of the United States Constitution become "supreme law of the land". So not only does that make the war Unconstitutional, it shows Bush is a liar for breaking his vow to uphold the constitution. I guess all Republicans are THAT way, right? Because one person was?

I dont care enough about politics to actually have this debate with you, and im sure you're going to respond with something like "because im right an you're wrong" or "because i used hard logic". You still cant compare two speeches that are completly different. Everyone knows who al gore is, nobody knows who Sarah Palin is. That being says she has to start from square one and cant just dive in.

If you're going to keep saying that my arguments are simply "it is because it is", you've got to accept the fact that you're saying "it isn't because it isn't". The relative notoriety of the two speakers doesn't have to deal with their speech giving abilities. You can point out a good speaker without having known them previously.

Hey, on the contrary barack obama's outstanding record of past accomplishments IS ASTONISHING.
I thought you're arguement was based on the speeches delivery not on the content. Every one in the country, including her politcal oppenets have indicated it was a brilliant speech delivered perfectly. "A star was born on the national political scene".
