Because the image I'm about to post on this blog is around 6000 pixels in height I figure I should get the couple of random things out of the way first so it doesn't stretch the home page and to also give it time to load.

Aion ****

I'm pretty pumped for Aion. It's been a long ass wait since I first got excited about it, and waiting another whole month is pretty painful. It looks pretty good.

"ROFL HER WE GO AGEN, SLAPPYWEG TALKIN UP DA NEW MMO ROFL *links AOC is actually good blog* HAHAHAHAHAHAH".

Okay well you type like a ******* retard, but I actually didn't mind AOC and WAR. Age of Conan / Warhammer had their vast flaws. I'll gladly admit that, but that said I still actually enjoyed the months I played them. There was plenty of fun to be had in the relatively short time I played them, and anyone who disagreed obviously has no friends (and that's the only explanation).

Firstly, one of the reasons I try any new decentish looking MMO is because it gives me the chance to get together with a group of Oceanic players that I normally can't due to server / faction / guild restrictions. Getting together like 90% of the Oceanic Gladiators who play these new games and wrecking **** (http://www.justgeef.com/forums by the way if you want to apply to our Aion guild) is always going to be fun for a little while.

Secondly, new MMO's are always fun. Even if they're not better, they're just fun because they're new. Free for all PVP in Age of Conan was ******* amazingly fun, we spent hours camping people, charging tolls to people to be able to use the leveling areas, griefing entire guilds etc until the entire zone would form a raid group and try to take us down. In Warhammer, I had a lot of fun playing around with the knockback / drag mechanics and just general spells and classes that I hadn't experienced before.

And finally, new MMO's are actually relatively cheap if you look at the amount of time you'll get out of them. I've been through periods before where I've been buying new games and I mean look at all the single player games out there that you get 20 hours of playtime with before discarding. Compare that to the value of a new MMO, and it's like the same price yet you get a solid month at least out of it (we played AOC for like a month and a week, and WAR for like a month and a half).

So, play Aion. It looks alright and the fact that they already have a solid base in Asia means that hopefully they won't go bankrupt and will still provide support.

THE ADVENTURES OF MANSHOON

Speaking of having the same guild through AOC / WAR, that actually brings me on to the bulk of this article. The guild I've been playing with on AOC / WAR has gone under a lot of names (Platinum Rydaz, Korean Netcafe Mafia, North Korean Cuddle Squad, probably more) but we were not the only guild going game to game.

There is another (absolutely awful) guild that's been following us called "Zhentil Keep". I won't bore you with the history behind these guys but basically we met them in AOC, they recruit out of trade chat and then claim they're better than our 90% Gladiator (nerd more like) guild and because of this in AOC we would camp them for a good 5-6 hours every night we played and go on their vent under different names to troll them / hear them raging and troll them on the forums etc.

The main target of our attacks was their 45-year-old overweight guild leader called "Manshoon".

Anyway, since we know that they're going to be playing Aion we thought instead of photoshopping pictures of Manshoon's face onto fat people once they start **** talking us, we might as well just do it preemptively. And thus, I present to Gameriot (something that I hope will be entertaining whether you have heard of Manshoon), The Adventures of Manshoon:

blog vitals
A furious nerd makes a blog to use as his outlet for his various prejudices and heated self-loathing. Oh and sometimes he'll talk about the Wonderful World of Warcraft.
