I don't play WoW anymore, and I highly doubt I will start playing again. I tried to recently, but couldn't even really get into the game at all. Now I am dicking around in EVE Online, but I realize that I will probably get bored of and quit this game in the near future anyways. I want to start devoting myself even more to MMA, and there really won't be time for any MMORPGs (especially when next semester starts up). I also need a job, and because I don't make a fortune blogging for Gameriot anymore, I should probably buckle down and find a good ole fashioned job.
Probably won't blog much more on Gameriot. I don't even like coming to the site anymore since its 80% dota character analyzation + digg content + wow e-sport crap + mmo-champion regurgitation, and since very little of that appeals to me this site has lost a lot of appeal. WoW's retarded e-sport game has killed all interest in WoW PvP for me... I never PvPed in mmorpgs to stroke my e-peen and feel like an internet warrior... I PvPed in mmorpgs to find good player versus player combat that has some sort of community politics attatched to it... no matter how insignificant it was.
I also haven't been watching enough anime to blog consistantly about it. Really I am just watching One Piece, and I would guess that this will be the case until I catch up. Seeing as how I am only on like 220ish I still have quite a ways to go.
Plus no one likes me anymore on this site anyways. I got a little carried away with my trolling, and it got to a point where it just became stupid. I could write an entry incognito and receive a bunch of praise and ****, but if I did it on this account I would get a million:
"go die in a lake of acid and sperm you ******* weeaboo ******"
so ya adios

Nobody cares about your anime blogs, trust me. Have fun watching.

You've quit gameriot before and never really quit, so I'm not holding my breath this time. You contradicted yourself in your own post saying you probably won't blog much more after you said you were closing your ties with gameriot. You like getting trolled, you like the attention. Get over yourself and either quit, or stop making 'i'm really quitting this time guys' posts cause no one cares.

While I am not a huge fan of your blogs, Gib, I fully agree. My blogging has really slowed down because I finally realized that the admins of the site don't really give two ****s about our content.
This is basically World of SlapnutsDiggRiot and everything else is a distant second to that (unless you are a WoM writer). That and the DOTA blogspam pushing down the posts of people who are actually writing about the game the site is supposedly about is kind of annoying too.
Best of luck to you.
Edit: Didn't mean to reply to you, display.

This site has never been just about WoW, nor will that be a limiting factor in the future.

This would be interesting, but it's sort of outside of the "gameriot" idea of media (movies/music/video games) coverage.
Still it would be pretty awesome to have a website with all sports stories and everyone posting their BS workout routines.

As a reader, I don't mind people who write about WoW venturing off on other off-topic subjects, but I do feel that a recurring blog that covers an entirely different game being post 3-5 times a week is crossing the line.
As a writer, I prefer not to contend for front page space with a game that isn't WoW on a site that is supposed to be about WoW.
But in the grand scheme of things, I also understand that opinion doesn't really matter.

And this is perfectly fine, as this is your site and you obviously may do as you please.

As a reader, I'd recommend to subscribe to the blogs you like and browse some feed. It's really not that much "work". I enjoy wowriot right now, there is just too less of everything.
