So... the only way you'd win is by playing for 10 minutes at a time and/or having the priest mana burn like crazy?
Even if you won, would it be worth it? Would you have fun?

Not sure man, healers are getting a pretty significant DPS boost. Resto/balance looks promising with a DOT spec from balance, and disc/holy with the new shield buffs etc. I dunno matches can get near 10mins pretty frequently at higher ratings.

You would have to get imp mana burn in your priest build for sure.

I'd like to hear how this works out if you do it. Disc/Holy priests are a ***** in pvp, that reflective shield is nasty. And balance/resto druids throwing around efficient strong dot heals along with the priest's own renew would be solid healing coupling in the shields. The only problem would be skimpy cc.  In 2's, though, cyclone shines as spot cc and roots works on melee - who knows?
Again, I'd love to see the results. Fraps IMO.

I've done rated 2v2's with a resto shaman just for fun and i can tell you that any healer/dps combo will be tough. Simply enough because of the fact that you dont have enough dps to bring a target down which will have their healer drinking when they can. Also because of los you wont be able to take the healer down easy, especially with crappy damage and having only a couple of interrupts.
Not to mention the 10 minute fights..the shaman and i had a 30 minute fight against a paladin/warlock, barely won and we just quit right after that. The lock summoned the pet 4 times, not to mention the paladin got away to drink. It was very hard to keep the paladin from healing/drinking and keeping the lock from ccing, and summoning another pet
