I can't even begin to explain how many times I thought I was going to die. How many times I rushed in ad got my ass kicked. How many times wave after wave of enemies came at me and I had to switch through 5 weapons just to take them all out. The intensity, realism, and suspense the story brought on the player is outsanding. It captured the player's feelings and kept you playing mission after mission just to find out the next part of the story. *SPOILER ALERT* In the last mission at the very end I thought Soap was going to die, but when I got that ******* pistol from Captain Price I nailed all three of those ******* ******** in the face. My only regret is that Price died, like WTF?! HES ******* CAPTAIN PRICE!!!!
Overall CoD4 has set the NEW STANDARD in SP with gameplay and a story that captivates the player. MP keeps the player hooked with the ranking system to keep them playing for one more rank. As EG said in their show, if you're a CoD hater, or don't feel like giving the game another chance BUY IT. You would have to be a complete FPS hater not to BUY CoD4. I'm out here, going back to rank to 55 and beat SP on veteran.

There are two main rules/settings being used at the moment.
Xfire tournament rules: http://cod4tournament.xfire.com/files/xfire/competition_rules.pdf
CEVO tournament rules: http://www.cevo.com/index.php?page=forum&func=viewthread&id=5937&forumID=63
Both rulesets were taken from community input, however, the CEVO
ruleset will most likely go through a few minor changes and become the
official competitive settings used.

I don't think they've set a new standard for SP, it was an interesting campaign yes, but I did like the first COD' SP more. Being a russian soldier in a hopeless struggle for survival just seems more fair than blowing down tons of fanatic soldiers. I liked the SP nonetheless, and Captain Price was the **** - infact the entire team was cool. Also the American Soldier that died seemed like a bit of an Anti USA stance, but that's just me.
