For those of you who check the videos on WM.com religiously, I assume many of you have taken at least a peek at this video; seeing as it has been on the top ten for about a week now.  It is quite an unorthodox setup, and interestingly enough, I was kinda impressed with the damage output of this build.  It is a slight variant of the full CC team seen with resto druid/sl lock/harp rogue, except they replaced their team with a .5 dps, instead of a double dps setup; making it one of the only feral druid setups i've seen in 3s hit over 2k this early in the season.

http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=57196

The interesting thing about this team is that, regardless of how much you think a BoP could just own these guys in the a$$hole, a well played druid can get around that BoP with ease.  These days, a lot of druids have enough mana with feral to throw HoTs on their team, have the ability to shift out for a few clutch cyclones for an early kill, and still have enough mana to go in and out of forms to feral charge heals.  I consider this setup to probably have the most awareness coming from the druid, as the warlock is the main CC'er and the rogue is the one doing most of the pressure.

Now, when I first checked out this video, and was wondering whether or not a 2k team should be even really considered, seeing as 2k is more or less the "average" for a pretty decent team; I realized that it isn't so much the rating, but the fact that close to any setup CAN counter some other setup.  I talked with Shaniqua, the warlock on this team; and apparently this team is a 100% counter to the ever so popular RPM comp.  A few of the fights in this video show the burst potential against RPM, and I totally agree with him.  The damage output these guys have on the priest is just insane, and with a warlock CC'ing their rogue and mage with trigger fears, the priest can't even think about dispelling them due to the sheer damage a druid/rogue can put together.  Seeing these disc priests drop within the first few seconds of the fights is quite amazing, and although a few of the fights got close; every player on this team is kinda an "op" class that can dish out a ton of damage, without worrying a whole lot about mana.  This is good because games where they can't get an early kill, don't really fk them in the long run; which in itself can be huge.

Frankly, watching this setup I can honestly say it is not really my style to run something like this; maybe it is because I prefer healing on my druid, and if I wanted to go play a dps class i'd play my mage.  But seeing people who enjoy playing arenas, take a combo I guarantee nobody else in the battlegroup is running (seriously, that is) and push it over 2k in the first day or 2 of the season; i'd say is an accomplishment in itself.  The editing in the video isn't exactly superb, but I will say I got a nice little chuckle out of the silly intro.  The fights are pretty decent (although, all these arena mods that just spam your screen have got to go....in EVERY video) and at least at the bare minimum show what this comp is supposed to do.  Overall i'd give it the following.

2/5 - Editing

4/5 - Quality of Fights

5/5 - Originality  (lets face it, if I see another RPM gladiator vid I might switch to Hello Kitty Island Adventure.)

Lastly, because I know this comment is coming; yes, I do think that 3 phenominal players could even make this comp work on BG9.  It is funny how many people, when they see an unorthodox setup like this, immediately don't give it any credit because there isn't a top 10 team in BG9 running it, so it can't be good.  Why make judgements about something that you haven't even run, or run into yet?  Personally, because i've been around the block and seen every corner of this game server wise, I find it funny that people go diss other battlegroups for not being #1 because their not in BG9 so it must be hella ez, for running a retarded setup, and for then making a video; but then we got BG9 players over here competing for the largest sum of money ever to be seen in a 3v3 tourny, and they decide to run rogue/rogue/feral druid, or rogue/feral druid/pally.  (Congrats to Pandemic who won it though.  Stickin' with your roots is the way to go.)

Yeah, thanks BG9, your losses in the 3v3 tournament taught me to never run feral druid/pally/rogue in 3s.  Just hope the huge loss of cash was worth the "well, ****, that didn't work."

Overall pretty good movie, and a nice saturday watch if you are just waking up at 12:40 in the afternoon, still in your Winnie the Pooh footie pajamas, and are feelin' just snugglin' up in the o'l computer chair and watchin' some pee vee pee with your friends The Frosted Flakes.

Calling this team a pure counter to RMP is a mistake because of how easily the feral druid can be shut down.  In none of the fights was he really the target.  Idannyl is definitely a decent feral druid, but he isn't really doing anything that any other generic dps couldn't be doing.  He never uses cyclone, spends too much time in bear form, and relies on the two piece t5 bonus to carry him.  I'd like to see what this team does in they can't burst down a healer right away, or if the opposing team plays smart and locks down the warlock with a rogue and puts the mage on the druid.

I also mentioned this to Idannyl for future videos, but these videos really need to show multiple perspectives or at least the druid's pov, since it's obviously the only thing that makes the team somewhat unique.

this is not very impressive, landing saps in arenas on the opponents rogue and esentially making the fight 2v3, if the tables were turned and he got sapped and his lock got opened on by the opposing rogue, they'd lose everytime to PMR.

Many times i've said perception and 2p T5 carry us, regardless heightened senses and the goggles could make up for this. Thats sort of like discrediting neilyo because he gets a second fear break, or you for your stun resist. Racials play a huge roll in the game and its something we've reliably got over RMP, saying that is somewhat silly because its pretty much bad luck on our part if we dont get the jump.

although WOTF is a great racial, almost always when we vs m/p/r they too have racials that are amazing. Fearward, escape artistx2 or perception, these easily balance eachother out WOTF currently. But currently on your makeup if they get sapped theres no conceiveable way for them to recover. Goggles/heigtened senses will not even come close to matching perception. Also i am constantly made fun of for being an orc, and people exploit this weakness tons of times, also there is no arguing that with my current conclusion that if you were a nelf and got sapped, and your warlock opened on, you would lose.

Can fearward be considered a racial at this point? I'm not sure what you're saying, Goggles, heightened senses, paranoia assuming you're trying to duplicate our comp will give you the jump a good deal of the time. Me being a human would make our setup even better, obviously. We utilize racials as we should, we've said many times that it'd be much harder without them, but it is definetley able to be worked around.

That druid did absolutely nothing special. His team seems to rely on some PvE gear and a lot of just zerg downs. The druid rarely used lifebloom, and I didnt see him EVER weapon swap when healing, the few times he did. He relies ENTIRELY on the 2pc t5 bonus, and cyclones quite sparsely as well.

I think this video is more demonstrative of how an opening Sap, good racials, and trash competition leads to wins. Against 3 DPS, the longer you draw out fights, the worse they perform; the druid runs lower on mana, the lock has to begin playing more defensively, and heals become an issue as well. Every team he fought, especially the RMP's just tried to fight them zerg for zerg, and that is just a ******* stupid thing to do. A well played mage can EASILY curb feral druid damage as well as rogue damage with rank 1 frost bolts.

Lol okay, i should randomly stop dpsing a priest who will die if i stay on him and cyclone a mage that's attempting to kill my slsl lock.

But yeah you're right im bad man

I never said that, But im really curious on what he thinks im doing wrong. From my perspective actually in the arena playing i feel my decisions are correct in what i do. If you can tell me which fihgt and what i did it would be really helpful than "he doesnt cyclone enough"
