Most of you should be aware about the Activision and Blizzard merger.  The process has taken some time but the deal is now official.  Activision Blizzard is the new company name which I am sure will piss off some Blizzard fan boys.  There is a faq on their website with details on the merger:

Q: What is Activision Blizzard?
A: Under the terms of an agreement with Vivendi, Blizzard Entertainment and the other companies that made up Vivendi Games combined with Activision to form a new public company called Activision Blizzard. This union creates a stronger and more diversified company that benefits and strengthens both brands.

Q: How does this affect the Blizzard Entertainment brand name?
A: The Blizzard brand name remains the same as it was prior to the combination: Blizzard Entertainment.

Q: Does this change the day-to-day operations at Blizzard Entertainment?
A: There will be no changes in the way Blizzard Entertainment operates. All of the people, processes, and philosophies that have made Blizzard successful will continue to be preserved. One of the highlights of the combination is that Blizzard Entertainment now benefits from all-star sales and distribution teams to service our products. In addition, the combined company is stronger financially, managerially, and operationally.

Q: How does this impact Blizzard Entertainment's games?
A: This will not impact Blizzard Entertainment's games. We remain committed to providing the same high-quality game content and support that we always have. Development on World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and any unannounced games is continuing as it had prior to the creation of Activision Blizzard.

Head over for the rest of the details.

So who got the raw end of the deal here?  Does Activision Blizzard run off the tongue better than Blizzard Activision?  We all know who makes the better games, so that isn't a question.  I wonder if Activision had the bigger financial stake hence their name is first?

Oh well, at least the developing teams are functioning on their own.

It's probably Activision first since it starts with an A and Blizzard starts with a B :p

Activision sounds like some sh*t about goggles.

IMO, Activision's "stock" went up, Blizzard's "stock" went down.
