Yes, that is a moose head on new protagonist Chuck Greene.  If you don't think that is awesome stop reading now!  A bunch of news about Capcom's Dead Rising 2 hit the internet today including a new trailer below which you should be sure to check out.

Wielding a dual-chainsaw-lance looks like complete insanity, I can't wait.  The new engine looks fantastic and Kotaku reports that the 7,000 zombies on screen is no joke as the engine is very capable of it.  Check out new screenshots over there as well like the one above.

The other good news is the "will we or won't we" aspect of multiplayer.  Previously someone misspoke at a conference and confirmed multiplayer.  Capcom didn't want to go on record at the time stating it but according to Eurogamer they have indeed confirmed this new mode of play.

No details are given whether or not it is co-op, deathmatch, survival/horde type of mode, etc.  Co-op in a game like this would be quite entertaining as me and Wadsworth1 would give Bruce Campbell a run his money with our chainsaw use.

The game previews confirm some new concepts:

- vehicles play a much larger role, you are after all a motocross guy
- "procedural cutting" aka take off specific limbs, vertically, horizontally, etc.
- surprises in store for fans of gun play

This game does have some mandatory tweaks required to surpass the original like a better save system and controls but I'll blog about that more down the road, just enjoy the vast slayings of zombies for now.

It definitely is a blast.  A couple of moments really pissed me off with a lack of save spots as I would do a bunch of things before time deadlines only to screw the pooch on the last one and have to do everything all over again.  Other than those kinds of things I have enjoyed it.

PC and PS3 as well.  No word if it is a timed release but I suspect not.  If anything gets a "delay" I'd suspect the PC version as that is the new "capcom thing".

no word on controls yet.

Honestly if its a simul release I'd consider the PC unless like you and Brian get it.
