The long awaited next big thing from Blizzard after WotLK and Starcraft 2, Diablo III looks pretty amazing. The rumors have been building all week long and our pal Lipton has been on the ball the whole time.

Per typical Blizzard fashion there is no release date yet. WotLK is due out any time and we don't even have a date for that, let alone Starcraft 2 (this holiday season?). If I had to guess Diablo III I would say next summer at the earliest, probably next winter.

Why don't you just link the gamevideos.com clips as these just seem to be **** re-encodes of those? Gamevideos are much better quality.

Unless you have been living under a rock today you may have seen that Diablo III was announced at WWI in Paris today.

Love it, can't wait.
As for the release date, I said the same exactly thing, Summer 2009 or Xmas.
Reason being, look at how much is developed already. Blizzard is rich, they have the resources, they have the developers/designers, they are MUCH bigger than back when they first developed D2 and WoW. Those games took forever, but for how much the industry has changed, how much it has grown and people know wtf they are doing (especially Blizzard), I would think they can pull it off in a year or year in a half from now.
