There is a bunch of stuff I want to touch base on tonight from various news I may have skimmed over regarding E3 and some downloads you may want to check out.

Some big news of the day that was kind of tucked away in the Sony live blog is that Final Fantasy 7 is up on the Playstation Network to download tonight.  Price is $9.99 for the much loved title.  Not a remake that many have been clamoring for but a good start.  As of writing the store has updated so get your CC's ready for reading.

Perfect Dark is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, I hope, with XBL live multiplayer and not just local mp.  The game will be running at 1080p and 60 frames per second.  Major Nelson from XBL confirmed this via his Twitter.  Expect it sometime this winter.  It may not be Goldeneye 64 (*weeps*) but it will have to do.  Some prefer the PD gameplay to Bond but I prefer Goldeneye thanks to the Bond license.

The Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta is up tonight, if you have a promo code to download it which was given out with InFamous or via various promotions.  Mine is downloading now but will have to wait for Will Ferrell on Man vs. Wild.

Some interesting news via Kotaku.  It seems Mario Galaxy 2 was originally intended to be more of a remake with new twists and spins on levels from the first game (the only Wii game I still own).  However as time and work went on he estimates that the next game has 90% original worlds and the rest will be levels from the first game with different objectives.  I am buying this regardless.  Miyamoto, much like Kojima, could probably pack a game case with used condoms and I would buy it.

Heavy Rain
is one of the more intriguing games on the list at E3, a Sony exclusive that brings home a story-driven narrative with some quick-time action in a choose your own adventure sort of way.  Check out the trailer below.

And last but not least according to the Shigeru Miyamoto press conference tonight a new Zelda is in the works for the Wii.  Unfortunately photography was not allowed at the event and I cant report back about this "more mature looking Link" which was shown.  They do hope however to use Motion Plus (think Archery in today's Nintendo demo) within the game.  The plan on showing it at E3 next year and rumor is it will be out sometime in '10.

My PS3 is collecting dust again since SF4 started to get boring...

... looks like it's gonna stay that way for awhile since I think Heavy Rain is gonna flop harder than Assassin's Creed.

Any news on whether FF14 is gonna be F2P or P2P?

Much of that is gameplay sir.  I watched it demo'd live on G4.  The game plays just like that, with a few QTE pop ups from time to time.  Ill try to find the footage.

Jesus, reply faster.

But yes find that footage, guess I missed it. Only mention of it I saw besides your trailer was in a list of games coming soon at the beginning of the Sony conference.

Hrm, I don't know why it isn't up, here is a pre-E3 interview http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/695812/Heavy-Rain-Hands-On-Preview.html?utm_source=g4tv&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=TheFeed

that shows the QTE popups in many of the images.  I can't the vid but if it shows I'll post it.  The guy in that video there talked while a guy in the background played it.  He ended up dying fighting the big black guy and the dev goes "oops, that's the first time we have publicly shown the death sequence".

Rare remaking old their old games and releasing them on XBLA is the best idea they had in years. Now we just need Goldeneye and Killer Instinct and they can kill themselves afterwards.

Damn, need to get the first Zelda.  You post to many blogs don't have time to play games.  Of course I like your blogs better than most games tbh.
