Welcome back for another round of news with your loved/hated admin!  Tonight's edition of the Epic Drop will make you question your manhood, laugh at old age and bewilder you all at once.  If you want to see the cover of the pseudo Sarah Palin porn movie, "Impalin Palin", check it out here (Possibly NSFW).  "She's hunting moose, and he's hunting beaver"... ROFL!

Hugh Hefner has been dumped by his "The *****'s Next Door" lady friend, Holly Madison.  Apparently Hef isn't down with the kids or marriage so Holly is giving him the boot, and basically taking herself off the TV show.  Don't feel bad for the old fart, he has the 19-year old twins on the right waiting to take her place...

Could you live on $25 worth of food each week?  These folks in Illinois tried it for Hunger Action Month and it doesn't sound like it went all to well.  It can definitely be done but it takes effort.

Evander Holyfield
, at 46 years old, is about to fight for a heavyweight title versus a 7ft 320 pound Russian boxer.  Holyfield thinks he has more in the tank and is ready to fight once more.  I used to watch boxing quite a bit back in the day before it became **** and MMA took its place in my schedule.  In all seriously Evander, you aren't Randy Couture, sit your ass at home and stick to commentary or something.

The producer of the Wolverine movie has plenty of good things to say about it (surprise), and about a potential Deadpool spin off with Ryan Reynolds.  Wolverine is my favorite comic character and I really hope they do this flick justice.  I would hope Jackman wouldn't do it if it was ****ty, but he did collect a fat paycheck on X3, so who knows.

Lethal Weapon 5, yes the rumors are true and apparently it is getting fast tracked (rushed to release).  You think Johnny Depp is getting a lot of money for Pirates 4?  Wait until you see the loads of Viagra, Polident and prunes that show up on set for Mel Gibson and Danny Glover...

Soccer fans, gotta love um!  Kidding!  But I think it is clear you've had too much to drink when you fall from this height...

Gonna check out that article about the food in a sec, but, I'm thinkin ; Loaf of bread, peanut butter, and some ramen.

Deadpool movie would be sick, I never read the comics but I thought he always looked pretty sweet.

Well I realize you could go bread, ramen, some 60cent sliced lunched meat all week.  Toss in some eggs, rice, etc.  If you really wanted to skimp you could pull it off.  To actually eat decent and things you would want is much harder.  I am at 110-120 a month, but that includes pop as well and the girlfriend and I go out to eat maybe once or twice a week.

Deadpool could be interesting.  I have never read much on him either other than guest stars in X-men comics.  But he is a hilarious character, a mutant assassin, and if anyone can pull off his attitude, Reynolds was born for it.  It is basically every wise ass he has been in all his movies.

$25 a week? Easy. I've lived on less.
Rice based dishes with market bought fresh vegetables, and eggs where you can. Screw the meat and bread.

If the Wolverine movie does well, I can see a possible bad TV spinoff. I hope not.

Slightly related:
Apparently, Green Lantern is to be played by Ryan Gosling, who starred in The Notebook if that means anything (which I doubt it does).

lol... I started reading that food article because $25 per week would be very easy for me if that's what I was trying to do.

Here is a retarded woman complaining about how hard it was, and that her husband quit after 1 day:

"I bought a whole chicken, a loaf of bread, a bag of salad, a box of rice, a bag of egg noodles, a gallon of milk, a box of grapes, a 24-pack of bottled water, a box of deli turkey for sandwiches, a bag of cheese and a 30-count package of eggs...all for $24.88."

Yep, she spent a big chunk of her budget on water.  $25 per week doesn't let you eat exactly what you want, but it isn't hard.  It's sad to see how spoiled the average person is to the point where bottled water is a necessity.

That map is pretty fu.cking accurate wtf thats scary.

I've lived in Hawaii, California, Oregon, NY, Michigan and Flordia and Soda is more of a cali / hawaii / east coast thing and pop is more of a northern / midland type thing for some reason.

I haven't heard people call it coke that much, I would guess because coke is a specific brand of soda.

I've spent a decent amount of time in South Carolina and pop in general is called coke for some odd reason.  You say can I get coke, and they say, what kind.  It is messed up.

In Cali, all brands of soda are usually put in the the "soda" category or soft drink for marketing purposes.  Tending on if they favor Pepsi or Coca-Cola is usually what they ask for when they go to any place that serves food.  I have never ever heard anyone at least from my generation call someone it pop around here then again this is Los Angeles so i don't know.

Everything we do is bad for the environment.  I happen to recycle more than I throw away and take the train to work and back.  More than most people do.

A case of bottled water lasts about 2 weeks for the both of us and we recycle the bottles every month.

A case of pop lasts me more than a month, and always gets recycled.  I don't have a tap of pop in my sink that puts out a safer/higher quality version of pepsi for 1,000th the cost either...

As long as they still sell bottled water will still buy it.  You have to remember I travel to work ass hat.  I'm not going to use those plastic or metal jugs either where people use them over again and they get all nasty inside, tried that once- plastic ones suck.  Plus the metal ones are too heavy for my bag.

Your attack is irrelevant.  You used to drive a six cylinder car your girlfriend drives a 6 cylinder car, why not a 4 cylinder?  What a waste.  You buy video games and movies that use plastic and natural resources to make- what a waste.  You watch and support movies in the theatre that waste millions on resources for entertainment- what a waste.  What a waste of your comments and a waste of my time.

Hey Evander wasn't that great of a dancer on Dancing with the Stars, and he wasn't the best technical boxer either.  George Foreman won a title at 45, doesn't mean Holyfield can't win because he isn't fighting exactly a very tough opponent for the belt.  There is a reason that the last great heavyweight boxer was probably Mike Tyson before he had his issues.  The spotlight was then handed to Oscar because of his popularity and the ability to draw in millions of fans.  MMA is just more interesting nowadays than watching a 46 year old man fight some behemoth that could well pass for a Yeti in World of Warcraft.

Wolverine is awesome and for some reason in every video game made he is always the best character in the game in basically every situation.  :)  <3 wolverine

Stranger crap has happened in boxing, no doubt.  I just hope he isn't in over his head.  Lennox Lewis was pretty solid, I put him a touch over Evander, but neither held a candle to Tyson pre-Buster Douglas.

Evander was a very good technical boxer, and might have proven it had Mike Tyson not gone to jail when they were originally meant to fight.

Foreman got very lucky, Moorer ran into a straight right hand like a retard.

I agree about MMA though, it's much more enjoyable than boxing nowadays, and I used to watch boxing  all the time.

I watched the Muay Thai contender and it was actually pretty cool. Not that bad at all. On evander though...Nikolai Valuev will **** him up. The man is a monster and i dont think Holyfield will be able to stand up to him.

I ran out of time editing my post about the food thing and so i have to type it again.. Sighs..... -  I live a really expensive life style now in Westwood but it wasn't always like that.  I'd say i spend at least 800 bucks a month in food but then again I am working full-time and getting paid fairly well.  There was a time when I lived on 60 bucks a month because basically i was working 20 hours a week on 8 dollars a hour + tips from some boba place.  Rent was basically 55 percent of my paycheck and food was 20 not leaving much else - the rest went towards school.  Top ramen is a really good deal especially when you get 10 for a dollar.  THAT IS 10 meals for a dollar!!!!!!!!!  Lets not say how healthy that was or anything like that but i know one of my friend's roommate that ate Chili Con Carne and Top ramen for a good 4 years because he did not know how to cook and was paying 5k a year on car insurance because he insisted on driving some expensive car in SF after having a automobile record of some kind.

I often treat my friends every out whenever we go out too but Palomino's on Wilshire is quite the place to hang out during happy hour.  Close by campus among other things.  I love to give and even when I didn't have money I'd find meaningful ways to give gifts so thats just the way I am.  I actually know how to cook fairly well but I am on the go a lot whether it be the 2 hours of gym like right now or in class 4 hours a day or 8 hours of work.  I don't have time to sit around and cook maybe later in life I will but now isn't that time.  Hope that answers the question.

Does that budget include drinks and what not for happy hour?  That would make it a bit more reasonable.

Of course it includes drinks.  Happy hour is all about the 10 inch pizzas for 5 bucks and the cheap alcohol they serve during 4-7 pm and after 10pm.  Food and drink is usually lumped into the same category at least for me it is.  Is casual drinking necessary?  Certainly not, but neither is going out or is living really poor.  Trust me i appreciate having money now after not having it for so long and I realize that money corrupts people and gives them the sense that they think they are better than everyone else.  However, i paid my dues in school and worked 2 jobs constantly throughout high school and college and still work to this day to live independently on my own.  I still save up a lot of money and for what reason really?

I am actually an avid church goer as well and follow its teaching pretty closely.  They teach you that monetary worth means little and I can completely understand that because i was happy without money and I continue to be happy even now that i have money.  Its all on the outlook upon life I believe.  How about all of you guys?  I don't seem like the charitable type but i am very giving in terms of any kind of support that my friends might need.  I just started on this today because i found it entertaining and it was free except at the cost of some egos maybe that i might have stepped on by accident i swear.

800 dollars a month doesn't seem THAT bad tbh.
I used to go by 30 quid (50-60 dollars, w/e) a week for lunch, 5 days in the week.
Now, I know my math is flawed but say, 6 quid a meal, 3 meals + drinks a day = a good 40-45 pounds a day, meaning a whole ****load of money going into food.

Damn, just made me realise I coulda saved all that for the past 2 years and bought me a new car.

My family consumes soooo much food. It's all home cooked by my mum, but seriously, we could out eat almost anybody. $25 a week, what a joke. With prices in Australia, that would go nowhere.

The Wolverine movie looks awesome, and has the most awesome Aussie in it:D

At CostCo you can get 2 loaves of bread, 6 pounds of turkey, 6 pounds of cheese, and two huge jars of peanut butter for maybe 25$.  That should last you a week easy, relatively healthy as well.

The big problem I see with the 25$ and most of the budgets is fruits and vegetables.  That stuff is hardly cheap any more and I could see any kind of balanced plan having those costing too much.  Unless you are growing your own stuff or buying from dirt ass farmers market it could be tough.

The point of the month was to note the people that get by on food stamps and what not for around that much.  Doesn't really seem like healthy living for the under privledged does it?

Sure there are some deadbeats on food stamps, but there are a some quality people who have hit hard times as well.

High in fat, high calorie content, often cultivated with heavy pesticide use. So, yea, there are benefits (some good fats) but you can get those from other foods.

there is a reason bodybuilders put peanut butter on stuff.

Yeh I appologise I wasnt really thinking in terms of the budget but yea I guess its a good way of getting back what you lose doing weights or hard exercise. I would have to disagree about the fats. They contain some good stuff but its not all sunshine and rainbows. Personally I pour off the fat that often collects on top so there isnt an excess.
