60MB downloads and 5MB uploads is Charter Cable's latest addition to their broadband lineup making it the fastest speeds in the U.S. $130 isn't cheap and you can only get it in St. Louis at the moment but it's a start. Now if only they can fend off bankruptcy and stay in business. I like my 16MB Charter connection. It is a legit 16MB, and I have no monthly cap. Now all you Euros and folks in Asia can tease me for having such ****ty internet...
What is good for the goose is not good for the gander in the Obama White House. Apparently Obama keeps it quite warm at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave so warm "he could grow orchids in there". Hot Air reminds us of this tidbit from May:
Guess its time to fire up the pellet stove so I can keep it "Obama hot" up in this *****.“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,†Obama said.
“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,†he added.
A new He-Man movie is back in the works. The on again, off again, on again flick now has the Kung Fu Panda director attached to it. The Justin Marks script that everyone in the biz was raving about (see latino review) is what they plan on using. If this comes out close to the script it has some serious blockbuster potential. My vote for Evil-Lyn on the right --->Staying on the topic of movies a new Resident Evil movie is in the planning stage. Good news is Paul Anderson won't be directing it and the bad news is they are doing another one.  Kidding, I actually don't mind these, they just better make sure Milla signs on the dotted line again.
Another of one of my niche stories that I love to follow in regards to receipt checking. Apparently a 71 yr old Walmart greeter was shoved by a on duty cop who didn't want to be touched over his refusal to show his receipt. No judgment here yet, who knows what kind of exaggeration there in this story. Just pull a Slap next time and tell them "no thanks" as you walk out the door with your girlfriend shaking her head at your "taking a stand". :P
Quick update from earlier in the week. The Michigan man that died in his home with no heat thanks to a unpaid was apparently pretty wealthy and had his utility bills clipped with cash on his kitchen table. Unfortunate seeing people like this slip through the cracks...
"Doesn't look broken but its for sure ******* a little swollen for sure man"... lol Either that guy had one crooked ass nose before or his friend is seriously full of ****. The damn nose even bends in the direction of the kick... lol
Oh ya, predictions for this weekend:
UFC 94 George St. Pierre over BJ Penn via submission
Superbowl I am taking Pittsburgh by 17 over Arizona....

You confuse him with Santa silly! Santa brings toys down the chimney and the Democrats bring chope and pork spending down the chimney. Way different.

but where's the difference? CEOs send a wish list to santa obama and he's packing a nice gift for them (even without asking who has been good or bad!)

Careful man. Don't insult Obama. The Obama nut huggers will start to spaz and their eyes will become bloodshot. They'll ******* hunt you down.

The ***** had a 175 million dollar election celebration is eating $150 steaks and lecturing Americans about conserving energy while he turns the white house into a ******* tropical sauna all in the middle of an economic crisis and 2 wars.

are we still spreading this misinformation? i've seen many reports stating that the whole issue surrounding obama's inauguration vs others was an unfair comparison since this is the first time that the cost of security has been made an issue. the 2005 inauguration was reported to cost 157 million by the ny times after the cost of security, cleanup, and holiday for federal employee's was factored in.

It's pretty unrealistic to expect the president to be uncomfortable when he can just turn on the heater. He's the ******* president. I am absolutely sure our government does an gigantic number of more wasteful things than having the whitehouse thermostat where the president wants it.
Hating on him for all this stupid **** is going to have the boy-who-cried-wolf effect when he actually ***** up.Â
Don't mistake me for an Obama supporter either, I hate all politicians ~equally. But save your hate for real issues imo.

Alright alright, I see where you guys are coming from since he said that. I hate hypocrites too, I just feel like wtf did you expect? And nothing says how high the temperature actually is. This kind of hearsay rabble-rousing really does diminish what you'll have to say when he does something worse. I'm not saying leave him alone, I'm saying save it so it counts.
The president turning the heater on in the whitehouse during winter just seems like a trivial thing to ***** about when no expense has ever been spared for the president of the most superficial, materialistic culture in the world.Â

The truth is, he *****es about corporate greed and how 'serious' our times are, and then he threw a huge inauguration party on the taxpayers backs.
"He turned on the heat in the winter' is trivializing the report. Hell, his own adviser is the one who said he keeps it hot enough to grow orchids in there. Why should this guy tell the American people they aren't allowed to keep their heat at 72 if they can afford it, while he keeps the oval office the temperature of Kenya? Does he work for us, or is he our king?
Obama is the classic totalitarian disguised as a socialist. He tells all the people how they should live, and then lives a totally different lifestyle because he thinks he's above it all.

No matter how you want to play it up, the president turning the heater on to an unknown temperature is not a big deal by presidential standards. And if people keep flooding the internet with "OMG Obama just got pee on the seat in the whitehouse!!!" less people will pay attention when he does something ****** up that deserves attention. Pick your battles or don't but what I'm saying is true.

That's fine, man. I'm talking more about the overall abundance of stupid Obama rants. I'll even concede that this one is kinda legit with the 72deg comment.Â
I don't have an agenda, I just don't like sensationalism. It's hard to sift through all the bias, so people just get polarized and it creates a very dishonest environment.

It's not rants I'm sick of it's the dishonesty that sprouts from all the bias coming from both sides. There is no escape from it.

Pretty easy to avoid the sensationalism in this bit. He keeps it hot enough to grow orchids, where a jacket is too hot. Sounds higher than the 60's if you ask me so surely it was a bit hypocritical of him.Â
If he wants to lead by example than he should do just that, not say one thing and do another.

I keep whatever room I'm working in as warm as I feel is most comfortable. If I'm not in the room, I turn the heat off. I think it was probably pretty hypocritical of him and he never should have made the initial comments if he wasn't going to follow through himself. I could make the argument that he was only heating the one room at that temperature and otherwise being his pious self, but I won't because I doubt it.
But I think it's also a fallacy to call him a a liberal hypocrite. Sure it's only semantics, but it's still inaccurate. There are hypocrites on both sides, political affiliation is irrelevant. A hypocrite is a hypocrite.

The president gets his own jet that is bigger and nicer then most peoples homes, his own state of the art movie theater that shows any movie he wants, his own bowling alley, swimming pool, jogging track, putting green, a salary of 400k, a 50k per year expense allowance, a 19k per year entertainment account, a 125 acre personal getaway, 5 personal chefs, a personal doctor, a hundred or other so staff on call 24 hours a day, the entire secret service, a 150k pension, and lives in a house that requires 4 million dollars a year just in upkeep.
The president is the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world. I hate to break it to you, but that means he gets to live better then us.

The Australian PM has a carbon footprint up there with the worst in the world. The Australian leadership housing uses more raw fuel for heating than any other building in Australia.
It's like it anywhere. It does suck, but get over it, they're politicians, it's their job to lie.
