The Razer contest is today! Make sure you post and give a brother some +1 love. Three sets of Razer Moray headphones chosen at random for anyone who posts today and had an account before yesterday. Contest is open worldwide!
It has been a whole year of Epic Drops. I can hardly believe it myself. Way back on 2/26/08 I started this random news idea. That edition was highlighted by the "I'm F'ing Ben Afflect" video from Jimmy Kimmel which would be the first of many great clips here. I wasn't sure if it would take off or not but eventually it did. 5 days a week, missing only a couple of days over the year, it has been pretty reliable.
I know this gets crap from some people for not being "original" but you can see even from the start it was stories I found interesting that day and meant as a daily discussion. It isn't going anywhere and I do appreciate stories being sent in for submission. Thanks to all my readers who have helped make this what it is and all the great debates, flame wars and comments. On with the news!
Apparently OctoMom, Nadya Suleman, has been offered a porn contract from Vivid Entertainment. 1 million dollars for one video in addition to full medical and dental for her family if she becomes a "contract girl". Unless she has some morals on the issue I don't see why she wouldn't at least take the one-flick deal. Octopenetration, 8 Miles of Dang, 8 Hairy Freaks are a good start for a title. Any other suggestions?
Conservatives can't seem to decide if they like Governor Jindal or not. I don't think his rebuttal came off all that well the other night though his USA Today appearance was much better. I do like the idea watching our spending, the biggest issues both parties have been screwing up for years. The latest plan to print money is 410 billion dollars. With plans for a "tattoo removal program in Los Angeles" and we apparently get to pay for students in the District of Columbia to attend private schools via federal funds. Oh joy! I can't wait to cough up money for that one. Idiots...
I don't really know if it is possible to top yesterday's picture so instead you are getting my favorite Epic Drop image ever. <3 Marissa Miller. The only time I have ever been envious over an Apple product... click it for a higher res.I meant to mention this the other day but I forgot. It seems Andy Richter will be heading back to Conan when he moves to the Tonight Show in June. He will take up the announcer role and do some parts in on-air bits. He was just on Chuck this week and he still cracks me up, something about him. Glad to see these two back together. Besides for the Colbert crossovers Conan's best stuff was when Andy was there.
Sam Jackson has been locked up in a nine picture deal with Marvel to play Nick Fury. Iron Man 2, Avengers, a probable Hulk sequel, Thor, Captain American are all possibilities. I like this idea because Ultimate Nick Fury was modeled after Sam himself and you can never have too much of a guy with an eye patch. It is just impossible!
It wouldn't be an Epic Drop without some stupid ass Hollywood news now would it? It seems Total Recall may be the next "re-imagining" out of the land of lost innovation. Apparently the original wasn't all that faithful to the book (anyone read it?) so maybe this one will be. Care meter in 3...2...1... --______________________________
Adventureland! I showed you guys a trailer of this way back and now this one is the Red Band aka rated R version of the trailer. I don't think this looks as good as Superbad but unlike that flick I hope this one saves most of the jokes for the actual movie. The piss scene gave me a good chuckle and Ryan Reynolds rules.
Remember, post as much as you want but only your first post tonight counts towards the drawing. So make sure you post if you want a chance to win. I will be picking via RNG so anyone has a chance to win minus staff.
I will be closing entries and drawing winners after I post tomorrows Epic Drop, so you have a bit more than 24 hours to win.
Hope you enjoyed the blog, thanks to Razer for the goodies and here is to another year of the Epic Drop!

I loved that show! I wonder if it is on the game show network.

It is on the gameshow network. They have a new version too, it is less than stellar.
