The Epic Drop is back to wrap up the first week of July and what does that mean?  Well it means the "Fox Friday" vote is over and unfortunately our smack talking actress has been dethroned!  Don't worry, she will make appearances from time to time but for now we are going month to month with a new Friday girl.  +1 for more new cleavage and a bunch of trailers.

This flick looks pretty good, kind of a "Sarah Marshall" with couples.  More Kristen Bell is never a bad thing.  Couples Retreat.

Us Americans are facing a 5-year low when it comes to worrying about terrorism.  While I am all for constant vigilance, some crap going on here at from the recession to the shoddy government stimulus and the continued rising unemployment seems to have us a bit distracted.  I'd like to think the policies and measures taken since 9/11 will keep us safe but I am not naive enough to think they are fail-proof.

Yep
Marisa Miller is the lady of July, every friday the rest of the month.  An American girl for the month of our independence. :D
Make sure you catch the Digg Dialogue (zomg digg content!) featuring Bruno.  Any chance to catch Bruno in character usually provides some solid laughs.  ROFL at the 5th Avenue line near the end.

McDonalds
is ready to play catch up with Burger King as they launched their own angus burger this week guaranteed to fatten up you just like an angus cow.  Not going to lie, that mushroom swiss looks pretty good but I don't really feel like swimming all that off.

The NBA free agent market is bustling right along.  Ron Artest went to L.A. pretty much swapping with Trevor Ariza who from L.A. to Houston.  If Artest keeps from throwing down with fans L.A. should be the favorites to win it again.  The Pistons picked up Charlie Villanueva (lol) and my under-sized, no-defense playing pal Ben Gordon from the Bulls.  Enjoy those big contracts, 2010 free agent class is all I care about.  Bosh or Wade to Chicago.

Lori Drew who was convicted in the Myspace suicide case has had her conviction tentatively overturned.  I am a bit torn on this one still.  I don't like the laws they convicted her under as it basically means if you sign up at any site and don't use your real info you could be prosecuted for misdemeanors.  However this lady clearly did something wrong but there is little to convict her on.  Hopefully they do go back to the conspiracy charges.

I am pretty stoked today after picking up tickets to see an "Evening With Kevin Smith" live in Ann Arbor, MI.  Easily my favorite director and one of the few "Hollywood types" I give a damn about.  Smith rarely fails to entertain so this should be a blast.  I believe this is the first time he has come to Michigan so I definitely can't miss out.

A few more trailers for you guys to check out.  First up is "The Informant" featuring Matt Damon, trailer here.  Damon playing a quirky off-beat role, gotta be better than the Brothers Grimm .  Next up is "Deadgirl", and be warned this one is a bit out there.  A zombie girl locked up and used for well... you will see.

Oh what I have given to land one of these DVDs from my 9th grade english teacher... =/

I take this 'first' opportunity to declare bull****! Fox won the vote, but you're essentially saying you made a poll with 1 yes option and 4 no options?

LONG LIVE MEGAN.

That I did.  It was noted in the vote that the other options were for her removal.  The option to keep her was even first.   She will be back, definitely down the road post Transformers 2 when she isn't over exposed.:D

64% voted for her removal.  How did she win?

I don't know, you made it pretty biased; you couldn't have made your preference more obvious if you put 1) as "I GUESS SO... *sigh*" and 2) as "OMG ABSOLUTELY WOOT"

Should have just did a yes or no if you wanted the community to decide, then did another poll later on to decide who would replace her or whatever.

Not like it's a huge deal though, for the record I was definitely for replacing her.

Imo you should have done 2 options because some of the people who votes for one no alternative might have rather had Megan full time. Just because they're different no votes means you can lump them into one decision.

Agreed.  Year was looking a bit slow but things pick up during the summer and it looks like closing out the year should be promising too.

Tomorrow is the holiday so counting on a bonus epic drop would be a mistake.  Maybe Sunday morning. :D

I do have a pic picked out already, so bear with me.

And is it a holiday tommorow? American Independence day? Strangely we don't celebrate that in Britain xD.

Can't really argue against showing marisa miller.
I don't know I'm pretty liberal, but I don't thin Obama is doing it correctly (neither are democrats or republicans). This is a pretty crazy time in U.S history. Not enough compromise from either side.
Did you happen to see the trailer for "Moon" I linked Slap?

At least Obama is very aware of how reluctant people are right now and humble enough to take it into account and make changes:

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/07/03/state-of-the-union-im-concerned-about-obamas-agenda-says-powell/#more-58900

With Bush(and most Republican type of thought) it was this ignorant 'stay the course', never second guess mentality.  Can't be a 'flip flopper' :P

Considering many economists and even the CBO felt we would be working our way out of this by now were it not for the stimulus  I don't know how you can even type that with straight face.

Unemployment went up again, if you remember the graph from the forums.  Not following democratic projections whatever...

Private forecasts were wrong as well.  There are no economists nor the CBO that "felt we would be working our way out of this by now were it not for the stimulus."  That's one of the most retarded and fantastical statements I've ever seen.  Perhaps you're mistaking the CBO projections of .1% higher growth in Q4 of 2019 without the stimulus with some asinine "thought" that the recession would be over now without the stimulus.  Your stupidity hurts me as a human being.

Who ever said unemployment was supposed to go down by now?  I haven't read any projections stating that anywhere.  If anything i read they expected unemployment to continue to rise but hopefully stagnate.

It was the stimulus that prevented huge job losses, complete failure of industry, and a more rapid recession.  Its unbelievable how you pretend to talk about things as though nothing was helped by it, and then act like our economy would be so great now if it never happened.  We'd be in a much worse situation right now without the stimulus.  If you want to argue about future debt then fine, but to pretend to talk about now being so much better w/o the stimulus?  Give me a break.

I don't know how you can say half the political stuff you do that is completely one sided with a straight face in 3/4's of your blogs.  You are so hypocritical constantly due to your one sided beliefs.  I mean you are just as guilty of using right wing sources for your blog points at times as you accusing the huffington website for being left.  Even with that smoking bullcrap it just goes to show your ego when it comes to your personal issues becoming law for everyone.  I mean i like your Epic Drop blogs but when you throw your politics and personal beliefs into it all its just really hypocritical and annoying.

http://wowriot.gameriot.com/forums/thread/unemployment-to-hit-10-porkulus-working-great

My bad, it is supposed to peak as of June, and begin dropping at the start of July.  Well it went up in June to 9.5% and the govt/obama says it will probably hit 10%.  So if it doesn't drop this month I am pretty much right on.  Considering the projections of 10%, I have little doubt that statement won't be accurate.

And I am not going to sit and debate each one of your economic points though they are more hole-ridden then swiss cheese considering all the jobs we were going to produce and save which are still dropping at record highs.

And FYI, this is my blog, and I write about pretty much whatever I feel like and put my own personal opinions.  That is kind of the point of a blog.  I don't claim to be the unbiased AP here...
