I took some crap a while back when I stated that one of the main reasons Obama may not win the presidency was because of his race and that the US is still too racist for a black president. Well an article over at Slate covers this same topic and it has some poll numbers behind it as well. He may or may not win but I still feel his race is going to play a factor come Nov. 4th.Â
This is a pretty big week for TV show returns. Today saw the return of How I Met Your Mother (one of my new favs) and Heroes as well. This leads to an already cluttered Monday of Prison Break, Sarah Connor, Monday Night Football and sometimes WWE (hate away). Later in the week we see the return of My Name is Earl and The Office, a couple more of my favs. Be sure to check out the list of returning shows at Futon Critic.Â
Excited for Windows 7? Me neither. Though as a heavy user of Vista for two years now I feel it is a great OS. Windows 7 at this point seems nothing more that Vista Release 2 or SP2 as Paul Thurrott notes. Check out some images of the OS so far here. Remember, most graphical tweaks to the OS don't come along till later in the dev cycle. Have you guys seen this apartment in Houston that is an absolute beauty? I can't believe some lady lived like this. Check out the pics and prepared to be in total shock when you see this crap.
It is a hard life being a Cubs fan. Don't believe me? Check out some testimonials from fans over the past 100 years over at ESPN, with some snazzy video and text.  By the way, congrats to the Cubs, they clinched home field advantage throughout the National League today!

FFS that house is... like... jesus tapdancing fester. Holy hell, with all those cigarettes and what i imagine is rotting feces i cant imagine the smell hadnt seeped through the apartment walls. If there were ever a Live Action Ren and Stimpy show, this would be their house.

There's a good documentary on HBO about the heartache of being a Cubs fan. If you have an hour to burn, definitely check it out.

do you think microsoft makes a living out of ordinary people with their OS?they don't care about home pcs, because more than half have pirated copies and are just too few to compare to big corporations that buy 20.000 + licences at a time. And THOSE didn't like the slow, crappy Vista. An OS that will load in 15s will be a better choice for them than a kiddies OS with too many god damn features

about zero on my PC, but doing something like a crash log check or anything and 5 hours of fiddling on my sisters pc to find banal pc info was enough for me. As I said, my dad works in the IT and got me the idea that the less Microsoft you have the best the PC works so for anything but games I have Linux on...i guess vista isn't BAD, just not that profitable because every person under 60 I know uses a pirated copy of XP/Vista...I guess it's the same everywhere or should be so MS starts pumping out stuff that is worth buying (*cough* improve ******* Word *cough*)
