Filmed by Cohesion Productions and directed by Mike Pasley, the documentary started out to cover the CPL but snowballed into a larger eSports theme.
The synopsis on the film's official site is as follows:
"Frag is the true story of professional video gaming. Almost everyone in the world h as played a video game, but some kids do it for a living.Frag sheds light on the struggles that kids face while trying to break into and maintain success in pro gaming. At a young age, they are faced with making adult decisions that impact the rest of their lives. Below the surface of a simple game is an underbelly of corruption, money, partying, drugs, and even death.
Exploited, abused, and abandoned, most gamers fail to reach the top, but like all sports, there are heroes. Frag pulls the curtain back on the biggest sport industry in the world, one that you know nothing about."
The film's main characters include CPL founder Angel Munoz, the legendary Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, co-founder of Id Software John Romero, and last year's breakthrough dueler, Rafik "LoSt-CaUzE" Bryant.
Others making appearances include myself, Rod "Slasher" Breslau, SK-Gaming's Michal "Carmac" Blicharz, GotFrag's Trevor "Midway" Schmidt, GGL's Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham, MLG's Mike Sepso, Pro Gam3r's Jarod "Streetrunner" Reisin, and even KISS' Gene Simmons. A full list of participants along with other information can be found at this location.

OK I'm gonna add this and hopefully it will be added to the top:
A better synopsis of the movie is it covers the beginning of pro video gaming from conception up until id Software takes over. You know, the history lesson, but its really funny.
CPL starts, talks about Angel's dynasty and fall (strangely the movie was done WAY before the recent CPL news but is very fitting).
Shows how Fatal1ty made it, covers how bootcamps became such a huge thing for gaming, and has a great and very interesting segment of how Rafik "Lost-Cauze" Bryant went through the very tough times from when he started getting better, and what he did to finally make it. As an apprentice to fatal1ty up until their inevadible showdown.
The movie covers how gamers get screwed by sponsors and supported, how hard it is to make it and actually survive, and how things have grown. It has a great segment on the Guitar Hero epidemic and Gene Simmons is so freaking funny, its worth the movie altogether. And the parties at the end of the events.
The movie includes:
Paul "CZM" Nelson of Quake 3 fame, the legend.
Morgan "Rhoulette" Romine of Frag Dolls - female perspective
Amy "Valkyrie" Brady of Frag Dolls - female perspective
Alessandro "Stermy" Avolone of PK, Quake 4 and CGS fifa fame
Therese “trito” Andersson of Girlz of Destruction
Billy Mitchell of Donkey Kong and many atari world records
Livia "Liefje" Teernstra of Girlz of Destruction and CGS fame
Many PMS girls
Many g0d girls
Anton "Cooller" Singov the fps legend
James "2GD" Harding of Fnatic and Quake 4 fame
Johan "Toxic" Quick the Ice Climbers and Quake 4 legend
Daniel Serna of Guitar Hero fame
Sam Mathews of Fnatic
Marianne of Gilligan's island (I know not of gaming but its funny)
Slasher highlights the party part of things as well as great, truthful narrative
Carmac is really good in it, telling it as it is like always.
DJ Wheat and Epileptic gaming is shown
Some CS
team 3D
Complexity
Jason "Socrates" Sylka of Q3 and Q4 fame
Gene Simmons is freaking as awesome as always in anything and alot of him.
So if that shows a bit more into what the movie is all about, then so be it. The movie is done so well and truthful I can't even begin to explain and its very enjoyable. You will see.
