Fallout 3 is on the way and it looks to be quite the massive undertaking.
In a recent OXM podcast the Executive Producer Todd Howard noted that the game may have upwards of 200 different endings. He goes on to explain that all 200 aren't necessarily completely different endings however as he doesn't want the number to get toss around falsely. In essence there are various endings that started off as standard resolutions to the game. However the 10-12 original ending cinematics have now been tweaked and changed repeatedly pushing towards 200 variations.
On top of that it was originally set for 20-40 hours is now approaching 100 hours which is nearly Oblivion levels of depth and game play. Oblivion is of course a massive undertaking including all the side quests and with Fallout 3 coming close to that it should keep RPG fans happy for many many hours.
Fallout 3 is due on on PS3, Xbox 360, and of course the PC later on in quarter 3 this year. Stay posted for news on this bona fide epic RPG.
