If you are in the hunt for a review from a veteran of the Battlefield series you are in the wrong place.  I have never been a big champion of this series and at most I used Battlefield 2 as a time demo benchmark for a bunch of reviews back in the day.  Other than that I played a few rounds of 1942.  This franchise has never been one that really grabbed me as I was too busy with the CSes, Team Fortresses, Quakes, Dooms, etc.

I will shamefully admit that my hour or two playing BC1 at my cousin's …  More

Activision thinks they have the cure for your early Spring blues.  And it might not hurt for them to fire a shot across the bow of the upstart Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

If you aren't sick of Modern Warfare 2 yet you may be happy to know that Activision is coming for some more of your hard earned Xbox Live points.  They have prepared a new campaign to advertise their upcoming launch of new maps featuring the phrase "mapathy".  Aka "a state of indifference to the same old maps one has been play…  More
It is a sad day in the land of Geekdom.  While Final Fantasy 13 is out today the bad news is Olivia Munn's hotness may be going mainstream.  So mainstream that rumor is Jaime Foxx was macking on her before the Oscars.  She was way too hot to be a true gamer chick anyhow, oh well!  +1 for Kelly Brook!

The European Poker Tour event being robbed live on TV was pretty sweet.  You can't really much from the clip but it is clear that some serious crap is going down.  That would never happen in Vegas,…  More

I have been waiting for this game for years now.  Ever since I finished Final Fantasy XII and later when I saw the footage at E3 2006 I have been itching to give Final Fantasy XIII some time in my Playstation 3 hard drive.  All these years of build up and yet I don't feel as excited as I should be.

Why is that?  I am not totally sure to be honest.  I am crotch deep in Bad Company 2 (review coming soon) and it has been really entertaining so far.  I am even more excited for God of War III next w…  More
I am glad I didn't watch the Oscars last night as all post-show wrap-ups confirmed much of what I expected; the show sucked.  There was some good WEC action this weekend though so more on that later.  +1 for Bar Rafaeli winning the Oscars

Hurt Locker took home Best Picture last night and Kathryn Bigelow won Best Director which mildly surprised me.  I figured Avatar wouldn't win overall award but that Cameron would get the nod maybe as a consolation prize.  The reality is Avatar didn't deserve bes…  More

It seems the viral campaign and rumors all led to the correct theory, Portal 2 is real and it isn't all that far out either.

Game Informer blew the lid off of one of the coolest viral campaigns in gaming history as the official reveal of Portal 2 is coming this month in their April issue.  When it shows up in my mailbox you can be sure I'll pass along a summary and let you know what the 12-page preview has to offer.

Game Informer, while trying to not scoop their own issue, did reveal a few tidbits…  More
It is porn star Friday today here on the Epic Drop and I am not going to spoil the greatness contained within.  You will just have to step in and check her out.  Lots of stuff to talk about including Aliens, overly-invasive governments and fallout from the USA vs. Canada gold-medal game.  +1 for taser-abuse justice!

I half expect the media to blame the Pentagon shooting yesterday on the Tea Party as that is their favorite scapegoat when an American does something f-d up.  This time however things…  More

SOCOM is coming back to the Playstation.  Gametrailers TV's big reveal tonight was a spoiled a bit by Sony themselves on the Playstation Blog today.  A "big announcement" was in the works tonight and we now know that Zipper Interactive has been working away on a new SOCOM title.

SOCOM has a pretty solid history of quality games.  The second one is arguably the best and number three wasn't a major drop off.  SOCOM Confrontation on the Playstation 3 however was abysmal.  The game is the lowest rate…  More
I totally planned on putting up a poll today for March's Friday girl but then I had an epiphany.  Sitting on the toilet, where I tend to have a lot of my great thoughts, I decided that being the month of my birthday it would be my choice and we are going to have Pornstar Fridays.  Yes, amazing, you don't have to tell me.  Tomorrow will be the first so make sure you stop in.  +1 for Olivia Munn

Today starts off with one of many great reads but this might be my favorite.  A white sorority from Arka…  More

If you haven't been following the viral-Valve-Portal madness now may be the time to start.  This past week has seen two different updates to the beloved FPS-puzzle game from Valve.

The first of two updates earlier this week added a mysterious radio to the game which led fans of the series on the Steam forums to go all in deciphering what the update had to offer.  The thread is now 440+ pages long and that was just one of the first.  You can try to follow along but here is a quick summary.

There …  More
