My dear state of Michigan wants to ban texting and gaming while driving. Some seem to be outraged by this but I honestly see no reason against this. Half the people on the road can't even talk and drive at the same time let alone on the phone so texting and gaming just seems absurd. While we are at it, can we require old people to take drivers tests after a certain age?
Marvel Universe the MMO is back in production. Once canceled when the City of Heroes devs were working on it Marvel has signed a 10 year deal with small time publisher Gazillion. I have never heard of Gazillion so that worries me a bit but if Marvel shows the same care with these games their movies it may turn out alright. You can bet the success of Iron Man and the upcoming movie projects have a lot to do with the rekindling of this fire. Seems Marvel and DC will both be competing in the MMO world.
IGN has new images up of Drake's Uncharted 2. This game looks great. I really need to snatch up a used copy of the old one. Maybe this spring sometime when the game releases slow down.Pearl Jam's 10 is being re-released next week with all sorts of snazzy new editions in stores. On top of that the whole album is coming to Rock Band as well for $18 (11 songs). A pretty good deal considering just how fantastic the album is. This may be my first "whole album guy".
The new Wii Punch-Out already has me less than enthusiastic. Nintendo Europe has confirmed a few details though it is news that isn't confirmed that is going to make or break this for me. As of now there is a two player mode, with Little Mac vs Little Mac. Plus it sounds like Motion Plus controls aren't in the works or at least not announced yet. Not mention of online play either. I was hoping to use the other characters in multiplayer. Seems my wishlist may be **** out of luck.
And the Wii seems to have finally caught up with the demand. Gamestop says they finally have weeks worth of supply on shelves. It has only taken two years and four months; hopefully people are beginging to realize that isn't all that it was cracked up to be. Yes I realize it is a great "casual platform" and "good for parties", but honestly is it any of us hardcore gamers sole platforms?
Update on Bioshock 2. It is losing the "Sea of Dreams" subtitle, it will be on the PS3 seeing a simultaneous release on all systems and it won't have co-op. =/

The games and texting banned is fine by me, I live in California and they banned talking last July and recently texting Jan 1st. They said texting was the equivalent of drunk driving - at first I called BS, but when I think about it, they are somewhat correct in terms of how distracted you are. At least when talking you are still looking at the road. Too bad I still do both heh.
It is my only next gen system.....and I don't have too much of a problem with that now - probably because I haven't found a killer app of my liking on both 360 and ps3 and I don't have an HDTV. Guitar hero is holding me over for now, although I would rather have it on other systems because it looks like crap on the wii.
Also I don't think either superhero mmo will do well, honestly how much different can they get from how city of heroes did it?

Probably not much different thatn CoH. I am sure they are banking on their respective characters being the key selling points. Will it work? Who knows. I doubt they are expecting to take on WoW or anything, but they still could be alright games.
Texting while driving is way distracting. I remember trying it like once and thinking ya, this is a bad idea. Seems anywhere but maybe on the highway would be stupid.
But you game on a PC don't you? Primarily? So it isn't your sole gaming platform?

Ever since I stopped playing wow it's been guitar hero, and the fact that my computer is more or less 5 years old in April, it can't really run anything else that's a recent game heh.

I don't see why texting/gaming while driving is even legal right now, my cousin texts while she drives, and she has been in 3 wrecks in 2 years, and has also totaled a car because she hit a mailbox. (I havent figured this one out yet) Guess who pays for people like this that text while driving and thus get into alot of accidents? We do.

When most people think a car being totaled, they think that it is a mangled pile of metal, when in fact a car can be considered a total loss with minimal outside damage.
Hitting something at 5 miles per hour with the front of your car that happens to bump the engine in a way that destroys is an example that happened to my friends brother.

Uncharted 1 is still the best PS3 exclusive. Number 2 should be even better

Those Uncharted 2 graphics are mind blowing. That's the best graphics I've ever seen. They look ever better than the newest Final Fantasy and God of War games. In a lot of those shots the main character and the environments almost look completely real. That game is gonna kick so much ass.

Sure her stuff sometimes goes viral, but maybe some of it has to do with the merit of her efforts? Not any girl can just sign up and sweep the contest.

Because she's a girl. It's as simple as that. Anyone who says otherwise is a mop head. Her blogs are horrible and pointless and would get 1/10th the views if she was a guy. The sad part is that she isn't even remotely attractive.

her blogs aren't getting crap from traffic via this site, so to say it is "because she is a girl" is just lacking common sense. Most of her traffic comes from elsewhere where they have zero clue what so ever who she is...

I have more faith in my readers and the GameRiot community than to believe they are mindless, drooling, lonely Quasimodos who have never seen a girl before. You're right--there are plenty of prettier girls around, but I believe that my readers are resourceful enough to find quality eye candy. Insult me as you like, but please don't insult the intelligence of our community. I am proud to bring in fresh traffic, because it gives our other amazing bloggers the chance to be read as well. i approve of snail seeing as the first REAL tv show she lists is 30 rock. but the daily show?? Come on!!! and im surprised not to see sonic youth or talking heads as favorite bandsz

Honestly I think she looks decent.....and +1 for having the guts to rolling in here without hiding the fact that you are a girl on a gaming site, knowing that most people are going to try to talk trash on you every step of the way.
