Street Fighter 4 in action!

First off you should start your download of this file;  especially if you are a Street Fighter fan. 



For those of you living under a rock, Street Fighter 4 is in development and is the first fully new Street Fighter title in almost 10 years storyline wise.  It is expected to be on most or all of the current consoles and is rumored to be out this or the following year.  The above link is the first glimpse we have actual in game footage after a teaser trailer in the fall. 



What else is significant?  Well if you take a look at the in game shots you can note 3D art and some 3D animation however the game still holds on to its 2D game play roots.  Hopefully this will be enough to satisfy the legions of old school SF fans while appealing to new generations of console gamers looking for great game play and amazing eye candy. 



So far Ken, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Dahlsim are confirmed and the producers have noted that they are trying to get all the characters from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo plus some additional characters. 



While I was never all that amazing at SF or into the competitive leagues and tourneys, but I did love every game in this series that I have played and it is the standard for 2D fighters.  Will we see successful return of 2D fighting?  I am keeping my fingers crossed.
