Toys R Us has offered up what I consider to be one of the biggest demonstrations of corporate greed that I have ever seen. They are offering the next-gen Nintendo Wii alongside 10 games of which none are first part and all are crap.
“This Bundle includes: Wii Console, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe,
Transformers: The Game, Bee Movie Game, Crash of the Titans 07, Dewey’s
Adventure, Zak & Wiki: Quest for Barbaro’s Treasure, Raving Rabbids
2, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Petz Dogz 2, and Soulcaliber Legends”
The ridiculousness of this is obvious as the bundle is being offered at the amazing price of $700, exactly what you would pay if you bought everything in this bundle individually. It's clear as day that Toys R Us is trying to get their share of the extra cash that so many Ebay scalpers are enjoying right now. So they bundled a bunch of **** together and called it a deal to up their corporate attachment rates. Cheers to Toys R Us for being a bunch of **** suckers.

By and large the Wii isn't amazing. But I will give serious props to Zelda and Mario as being incredible titles that almost any console gamer would love.Â
Smash bro's and Mario Kart coming this year could be amazing too.Â
I definitely get more use out of my PS3, but I have been enjoying Mario Galaxy quite a bit lately.

I personally found both Mario and Zelda to be the most overrated PoS's Ive ever played. Mario galaxy just straight up sucked imo. As for zelda, there have been absolutely 0 true innovations to that game since OoT. It was amazing, and that was mainly because of graphics, story, and 3-D. There were no real innovations to items or gameplay. Majora's mask tried some ambitious things, but ended up falling flat. Right now, all the innovation in Zelda comes from the Game boy games. The console versions just arent offering enough new **** to do. The combat system is piss easy, incredibly forgiving, and doesnt really have any sort of depth. The puzzles are the same as they have been since the 8 bit era with a few gimmick driven ones added in per installment. The story has pretty much been nonexistent since OoT. I'm sorry but in this day and age, "boy saves princess" is just not enough.
I dont really know what it is that makes so many people wash nintendo's balls everytime a Zelda comes out, and I wish I did, but from an objective person's viewpoint, the series peaked out with OoT. For Zelda to be a truly great game, nintendo needs to reinvent the fighting system, make the combat actually DIFFICULT, and put a real story. Next they need to just GIVE you the bow, boomerang, hookshot, and bomb straight off the bat. Invent some actually interesting new items for christ's sake. Allow dual wielding items as well as weapons also. With these changes, and the old zelda formula, I think we could really see good times.
