I love movies more than Vir loves politics, more than Ming loves trolling and more than Faction loves pizza.   I could talk movies all day like until sunrise and so today's "Weekly Top Five" is going to focus on my five favorite movies of all time.

The choices were not easy to whittle down and this list could easily be 10 or 20.   There are so many movies that resonate with me for various reasons and I left quite a few flicks off that that were more nostalgia than "critical quality";   movies …  More
Welcome back for this edition of the morning news.  Extra beefy Chun-Li is a highlight of today's piece as well as some quality videos from Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet!

Not sure what I think of this Street Fighter 4 cover art.  I do think Chun-Li should lay off of the HGH though, the girl is packing some heat.  That is ok, I don't buy games for box art and the exception won't start here.

The EA Spore DRM fiasco is starting to heat up to a boil.  The latest is a class action lawsuit acco…  More

Piracy, piracy, piracy; that is all these developers whine about lately.  Epic Games is the latest to trump up the evils of piracy and they are going to use as the cop out on why they aren't bringing Gears of War 2 to the PC.

Talking to TVG CliffyB explains:

"Here's the problem right now; the person who is savvy enough to want to have a good PC to upgrade their video card, is a person who is savvy enough to know bit torrent to know all the elements so they can pirate software. Therefore, high-end…  More
I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend, things went pretty good here.  Had another solider fall to the darkside this weekend as my buddy got married this past weekend (Wadsworth1 on here).  Congrats to him and his wife, I wish you guys the best.  Time for the gaming news!

Warhammer
seems to be doing pretty well at this point.  But we know after the AoC debacle that strong launches tend to me little.  Apparently 500,000 have registered to play the game online which a solid number out of the gat…  More
Hello Gameriot land.  After a weekend break the Epic Drop has returned for your consumption.  Guns, slave labor, and Krispy Kreme highlight tonight's content so be sure to check out some of the stories.

It seems China is the latest nation to exploit Africa for their needs and be championing a "a slave empire" according to this article at Daily Mail.  Considering how they treat their own people I guess using and abusing Africa wouldn't be that far fetched.

Let this be a lesson to you.  The next…  More

Tonight's Weekly Top Five is a bit tongue in cheek so bear with me.  These are my top five wanted features or portals here at Gameriot.  Some of the obvious options like politicalriot or generalgamingriot aren't going to make the cut.  These wanted features will be a bit more of a stretch.  Options that no matter how much we plead to Rage and Austin we would still probably never get.  Porn, portals and LANs all make the cut on tonight's list.

The Anime Eraser

The first on tonight's list and a…  More
Hola ladies and gentlemen.  After an interesting night, a crappy cold and some OJ I bring you the last edition of the Epic Drop this week.  Enjoy!

Slate has a quality laugh up detailing McCain's next hail mary campaign tactic.  As if Palin and the postponing the debate weren't enough they offer up 10 more strategies for the next couple of months.  Personally I think his next move should be going back to Letterman and announcing himself for Predator 3 instead of Arnold.  Maybe Hollywood would…  More
Welcome back loyal readers and haters alike, the Epic Drop is back to grace your monitor screen.  Tonight starts off with the totally surprising news that Clay Aiken is gay; what shenanigans is that eh?  I guess Wadsworth1's dreams of being serenaded by Clay and "Invisible" in a warm bath can finally come true.

In other queer news today (odd people, odd)  it seems Biden and Obama both supported the now infamous "bridge to nowhere" that they are trying to give Sarah Palin crap for going back an…  More

It has probably been 15 years since I have even played a Mega Man game.  Today's purchase of Mega Man 9 was probably just as much nostalgia as it was the desire for a challenge.  A challenge is putting it mildly.

This game is relentless and grueling.  There is no way any one could get through the game, all 8 levels+ on their first attempt.  MM9 is brutal.  It took me about two hours (laugh) to get through 2 stages and I only dabbled in two other stages.  If it weren't for the goodies shop I…  More

I'm writing this as a semi-pseudo-sorta-kinda blog response to:

http://wowriot.gameriot.com/blogs/Giant-Realms-Cool-Blog-for-Attractive-People/Dude-Just-Attack-the-Healers-Warhammer-and-Football/

I've devised the ultimate solution to the problem of getting 'left behind' by the offensive line of your teammates in Mourkain Temple (and other scenarios as well). Its actually very simple. Find a lower level Iron Breaker or Black Orc in your guild and tell them they can be your bodyguard. Now, that may…  More
