Frustration and praise all in one day, this is your life Capcom.
Hot on the heals of the news about RE5's multiplayer comes Capcom talking about more HD Remix titles. Not content with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Puzzle Fighter 2 remixed in high-definition style Capcom has plans for more titles in the HD treatment.
What games exactly? Well they aren't talking yet. However it is well known at Capcom that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is one of the most desired titles according to all the fan request… More
*Update* Capcom is now stating that Laura misspoke and multiplayer is not confirmed, though it may still be in the game.
Some news regarding Dead Rising 2 slipped out at GDC today. We had the big scoop on the Dead Rising 2 news a while back which has the game taking place in "Fortune City", seemingly a Las Vegas clone full of zombies, hookers, slot machines and cocktail waitresses.
During a "Making of Dead Rising 2" panel today Laura Scholl, the Product Manager of mental mill, let slip a few in… More
I was going through the news archives today and realized there was quite a few things I wanted to touch on, but little that warranted a full blog post. So here is some random gaming news for the past couple of days.
My dear state of Michigan wants to ban texting and gaming while driving. Some seem to be outraged by this but I honestly see no reason against this. Half the people on the road can't even talk and drive at the same time let alone on the phone so texting and gaming just seems absu… More
Lots of cool stories to cover in the news from this weekend so I hope you enjoy the Epic Drop. George St. Pierre stops in for today's humor video of the day and our girl of the day honors baseball and spring training.
The Texas board of education came through with their ruling last week regarding the "strength and weaknesses" of scientific theories in their curriculum. They will be removing that controversial phrase yet all are still not satisfied as they have added the following: "including e… More

These are the kinds of actions that make me proud of the 2nd amendment. Attempted purse snatcher gets his ass shot by a legally concealed weapon owner. The guy did get away... until he went to the hospital to get treated. Well done sir, well done...

I took a bit of time away from reviewing this because I wanted to make sure I was over the "newness" factor and that I could look back on the game accurately and give it a fair shake. This will be plot-spoiler free for the most part.
This isn't your typical Resident Evil game. It is twice as far from the series' roots than RE4 was. If you like the direction that game was heading then there is a good chance you will like this one. If you are expecting a return to the survival horrors roots and… More
This game looks like this year's Braid if you ask me. Kind of an off-beat, small downloadable game that is going to get rave reviews and be a commercial success. Fat Princess is being developed by Titan Studios. I didn't really know a whole lot about gameplay other than the basic, "feed the other team's princess so she stays fat and can't escape". What better premise is there than that?
Turns out there is a ton of depth to the game. You can start by watching the first dev commentary above, p… More
I saw "I Love You Man" tonight after dinner, loved it, more on that later. Welcome to the Epic Drop which is way late as I feel asleep at 11pm after a long day. You should enjoy tonight's video unless you have an affinity for balls + Where the Wild Things Are trailer!
The leader of the EU Mirek Topolanek has condemned the US's "road to hell" as we are "repeating mistakes from the 1930s, such as wide-ranging stimuluses, protectionist tendencies and appeals, the Buy American campaign". Glad to s… More
Valve is swinging for the fences lately. Not content to sit on their heels and wait for the digital world to adapt they are forcing change. If it isn't Steam Cloud or another new publisher added to the catalog it is advances in their Steamworks software. Today Valve has announced the death of DRM, at least on their end.
It seems Steamworks will have a new anti-piracy feature that Valve feels will make DRM obsolete. Apparently each users copy of a game will feature some sort unique identifier… More
Another date that edges me closer towards "old as dirt". If anyone wants to send some liquid sympathy my way in the form of 6-packs of quality beer be sure to let me know. Otherwise you can buy me bday beers at McFaddens this weekend. On with the Epic Drop!
The Texas Board of Education continues to live up to Texan values when it comes to bucking the trend. They are going to vote this week on a new science curriculum that will "prompt teachers to raise doubts that all life on Earth is descend… More
