Twitter is everywhere and it's scaring me.  I think I'm the only one left without a Twitter account, but that doesn't mean I don't get it.  I'm down.  I'm hip.  I've got the 411 and I don't want you kids going out and getting all jiggy with it without my supervision.

Simple question, easy answer.

Give this blog a +1 if you want the pink changed on WoWriot's color scheme.  I'd make a poll in the forums, but not as many people would see it.

The Pink is primarily seen on links, in the form of highlighted text or underlines.  It's relatively minor, but people have complained bitterly in the past, and rejoiced thoroughly when I changed it things up on Hellforge.

Most of our users probably did not notice but we were having issues with embeding videos from gameriot.com onto other sites.  This has since been fixed to support a change to the most recent update to the Adobe flash player.

Anyway linked to videos should work again.  On our way to burn down Adobe's offices...  More

Sorry for the unexpected downtime today but we had some issues with performance on one of the servers that was causing everything to slow down.  Hopefully, we have corrected the issue and everything appears to be back to normal for now.  We will be keeping an eye on everything in the mean time to hopefully head off any issues before they become a huge problem.

We have found a bug in the XP system that was not allowing new users to receive any XP increases to their profile.  We have corrected this issue and upon your next action that grants you XP your account will be corrected. 

Sorry for any issues to people with newer accounts but your proper XP will be restored once you make a post or comment for example.  More

OK so the random downtime today was to put in place some changes to speed up the internals of the Gameriot.com site and having to do with user accounts and the login system.  Hopefully these changes will help in increasing speed and remove most of those random hangs when loading the site sometime. 

Please inform us asap if you have any issues with your account or being able to login.  Visit the Help Me! page at the bottom if you are unable to login when you could before.

Ok so after some technical issues (the hamsters got out of their cages) the sites are back up and should be running normally.  Sorry for them being down most of the day but maybe you guys got to play Spore or something instead of trolling around Gameriot.
