Quite possibly the only porn star in history to be discovered through her controversial presence in online gaming, Winter Sky (a.k.a. Teslyn) has recently become a successful fixture of the porn industry. .

Starting out with a minor role in World of *****craft, a porn series dedicated to the popular fantasy MMO, she quickly became a feature actress of that franchise and many others
What you can expect to see in World of *****craft (SFW parts):
Because I know Winter pretty well, a number of people have approached me with requests for an interview. The porn industry is an enigmatic one, and very few people know what it's really like. Winter was more than happy to answer all of my questions both in regards to her personal experience and the industry as a whole, and the resulting interview can be found below.
I guess we'll start off with some general stuff. Please introduce yourself.
I'm Winter Sky.
Short and sweet, I guess. Still, you're a porn star, and that's certainly worth noting. How long have you been doing that?
I did my first scene in december of 2007 so about 5 months.
How did you first get into the business?
I was playing wow and we recruited a new shadow priest into my guild, Gentlemen's Club. He claimed he was a porn director I wasn't sure if i believed him. Shortly after that one of my male friends, lets call him an ex b/f to make it easier, posted a bunch of naked pics of me on the wow forums. The director saw them and asked me when i was gonna be in one of his movies. I thought he was joking but he invited me down to LA to watch him film. I watched and decided it looked like fun and that i wanted to do it. so i did.
There's a lot of assumptions about the porn industry and lifestyle, can you give us an idea of what it's really like?
Well for me its much like a normal job, I get up in the morning I go to work, I get paid, I go home. There are alot of other optional things, like parties. For me, partying within the industry is like work. I go to meet people and so people can meet me. Its very easy to get caught up in it and forget that you are there for work though. There is drugs and alcahol aplenty if you want it. Sometimes its fun to let lose and forget about work but I try and keep a leash on it. There are a ton of temptations. Overall everyone just wants to have a good time. I try and keep it all in perspective but I do lose sight of the bigger picture from time to time.
Are you all super-promiscuous outside of work?
I am very very picky about who i sleep with in my free time. I love sex but i can get it when ever, where ever i want it at this point. It makes it so much better when its selective outside of work. I have my little hareem and i love them all for different reasons. I do add and subtract from the hareem on a regular basis though so if that makes me promiscuous then i definitly am. lol
What about the major stereotypes, i.e. (female) porn stars are all drug addicts with few other options?

A lot of the girls i know do little or no drugs at all or are dealing with different stages of rehab. There are definitely plenty that do do drugs though. I think there is a full range of extremes in the industry. Having a lot of money and not that many responcibilities is a major factor, especially for younger girls.
Most people assume that the guys enjoy it, aren't there any female porn stars that get started because it's something they WANT to do?
I started because I wanted to do it. there are alot of girls that get into it because they love sex. Some of the most succefull people are in it because they love it. I don't know Jenna Haze very well but I believe she is one of the ones that really loves it. I think thats a big part of her success.
Do you enjoy working in the porn industry? How long do you plan on sticking with it?
I love it right now. I have a great time on set. I plan on taking it as far as i can. Milfs are a big part of the industry right now so potentially I could stick with it for quite some time.
What can someone starting out in the porn industry expect to make for their hard worK?
It depends, it has a huge range. Some new girls are a hit right off the bat but lose popularity quicky. Some girls start out slow and gain steam as they go. You can make 15-20k a month or 1-2k a month.
Is it different for men and women?
Men make about half what a girl makes per scene BUT they can work as many scenes as they can physically handle if they are good. Girls on the other hand have to be careful not to saturate the market because if they do no one will want to shoot them untill it dies down a little.
Why is it that guys make less per shoot?
Its probably because they arent the main focus of the viewer. They can be really ugly and noone will care as long as they get the job done. Aside from that I'm not really sure.
How much does your income change as you become more popular?
I'm not really 100% sure how that would work. I assume you just work more regularly and possibly are able to charge more per scene.
You've told me before that most guys (90%) can't get it up in front of the camera, is that really such a big issue?
LOL yeh its a huge issue. If a guy cant get it up then everyone on set is screwed. The scene is basically over and everyone just sits there and twiddles their thumbs. The reason the guys do it is because they are capable. Wouldn't you do it if you thought you could?
Obviously a lot of female porn stars get breast implants (and other "touch ups"), how many guys go through penis enlargement surgery for porn?
I'd have to guess MAX 1%. penis size isnt really a determining factor. Many of the really good male stars are quite small. I guess some of the big guys might do it to enhance what they already have but I'm not really sure. I havent heard of anyone getting it done.

Learn as much about it as you can before you do it because its like a tattoo, it never goes away, its with you for life.

yeh pierce is the one that posted the pics because i wouldn't sleep with him. GC is a loot council also, so one persons vote isnt going to matter much... i'd have to sleep with something like 12 people to get loot in exchange for sexual favors. We had alot of officers in the naxx days.

i'd really love to know, but why didnt you sleep with him? was it looks, the way he came onto you, or some other reason? before you guys met irl did you suspect thats what he had in mind? have you ever slept with a guy that you only met from playing WoW?

lets see... ive been with 3 guys i met from wow. The first was amazingly hot also he was only 18 with a perfect body. The second has an amazing personality and pretty good looking, we just had great chemistry. The third I'm not really sure, he was sweet and stuff, if he was more confident it woulda lasted longer.

can you maybe go into how this all happened? i'm just really curious how something like this works...is it where they are in your guild and youre all on vent, and then obviously become efriends, then invite them to visit cross state i presume? they fly over by themself or come with other WoW players? do they wine and dine you, or is it lax where youre all playing WoW? drinking/smoking weed maybe? and then he makes a move? do you make the first move? and is it only 1 night or were these relationships where you saw each other regularly? before/after you got into porn?
were these all white guys also? how do you feel about black guys, asians guys, or even middle eastern, you have preferences?

Basically they all started as friends from game who i was in a guild with or who i ran instances with for what ever reason. You know how it goes, you talk you flirt you send risque pics.
i've been in a few guilds that have big group get togethers, like a big BBQ/party in some relativly central location. Thats how i met one of them. I drove a few hours and stayed the weekend with another one of them. One of them flew from NY to ca for vacation and i met up with him.
So many questions!!! lol
its always different its never the same situation. these guys were all so completely different but they are all great in their own way...
I dont do interacial on camera and really havent ever been with anyone that isnt white but thats not to say i never would. Race doesnt matter at all to me, its more about the person and if we click. I used to live where it was predominantly white so i didnt really have a chence to hook up with anyone that was any other ethnicity.

depends on who they are... I wouldnt have sex with just some random person. If they are hot and I woulda done it for free anyways then probably but then i probably wouldnt take the money either. I'm really picky when it comes to who i have sex with in my personal life. whats your mentality tho when it comes to sex? I mean doing it for a job has to water it down to the point i'd think you'd be really open and nonchallant about it. Maybe even unemotional? Like giving a *******, is that really a big deal to you? could you give a guy head if you liked the guy as a person but werent attracted to him and he asked nicely? well sex on camera is pretty different from sex in real life. sex on camera is all planed out before hand usually lol. i am emotionally detached when im doing it for work but in my personal life im very emotionally involved usually. i think that the longer you are in the business the more that line blurs though.
