The Artist Formerly Known as Halo 3: Recon

Sometimes name changes come about for no good reason: Prince became The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, ODB became Big Baby Jesus, Puff Daddy became Diddy, Paul David Hewson became Bono and then the self-proclaimed Millennial Messiah, and now Halo 3: Recon has officially become Halo 3: ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper).

Bungie announced this change yesterday afternoon, stating that the "new titles is a more straightforward account of the experience that awaits and the role you will assume as you explore the streets of New Mombasa."

Personally, I think the name change had nothing to do with ODST's content but more so that Bungie employees just wanted to put an end to annoying emails reading "Can I Haz Recon Nowz?" Either way, the change hasn't diminished my excitement for this stand-alone expansion. How about yours?
