#5 Bitterlawyer.com
Link: http://www.bitterlawyer.com/index.php
It has always been a general consensus that people hate lawyers, and usually for good reason. This website puts some parity and sarcasm into the daily grind of a being a lawyer. There are a lot of good writers on the site who also write about things that aren't law related. On top of this they also criticize all the things that plague the profession and give it such a bad name *cough* the billable hour *cough*.

#4 Ryanholiday.net
Link: http://www.ryanholiday.net
The first of 3 rudius media blogs on my top 5, this blog is largely different than the other two however. Some of my more philosophical posts tend to be spurred from some of the points he brings up. Most of his blogs are very should observational posts, but they are still great food for thought, if you like to think outside the box.

#3 The Ack Attack
Link: http://www.theackattack.net/
If you didn't already know I'm a huge Lost junkie, Dexter being the only show I like more. The Ack Attack is a light hearted summary of episodes and seasons that usually have me cracking up the whole time through. If you aren't a fan of lost you probably won't like this, but if you are I would highly suggest reading his infamous episode recaps. This past weeks (Namaste episode) was exceptionally good with lines such as "Sun gave ben her Oar-iental technique" when she knocked him out with an oar, and Kate + Jullietes what she's really saying conversation. He also has a comic serious called Benry Knows Best which is just as humorous.

#2 I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell Movie Blog
Link: http://ihopetheyservebeerinhell.com/
If you've ever wanted to know what goes into making a movie, this is definitely a blog you want to read. I've always been a huge movie buff, and always kind of wondered what actually went into making a movie. After reading this blog, I have much more appreciation for all the subtle things you might not notice if it hadn't been brought to your attention by a blog like this. On top of that, and I'm sure slapnuts will back me on this, the movie will most likely be grossly popular so if you are one of those people who likes to know whats hot before everyone else then I highly suggest getting on board now by checking out the blog.

#1 Philalawyer.net
Link: http://philalawyer.net/
Philalawyer is far and away one of my favorite writers/bloggers. He's a lawyer turned writer, with a very introspective and critical take on law. Many of his stories relate real life adventures with situations he runs into while practicing law. When I first discovered his blog I literally read every entry in one sitting, then when he came out with his book, I read the entire thing cover to cover in one sitting. If you are the type of person that likes to go against the grain, and questions what most people blindly accept and succumb to then I highly recommend reading his site and buying his book, you will not regret it.

Honorable Mention: boomercharged.net

If there was a yin to my yang in L4D blogging these guys would be it. They are the lighter side of left 4 dead blogging, and do a wonderful job of it. If you are a Left 4 Dead player I would highly recommend checking this blog out.

It sounds like some of these blogs would be great reads for your average bandwagon close-minded forum troll.

ah nvm, i must have misinterpreted what he does. i was asking if he was a director or a dp, writer, actor, costume designer. etc and that he was blogging about his part in the production of a movie.

Tucker and Nils wrote the screenplay for the movie based on the austin road trip story in his book IHTSBIH. He also had creative control during production of the movie.

I can't stand Philalawyer's style of writing. He writes long, winding, homosexual sentences full of esoteric comparisons that just aren't accessible to the normal person. His pretentious attitude doesn't help either. I guess if you like Fitzgerald's flowery style you'll like Philalawyer. Or maybe I'm just one of those who "blindly accept and succumb to" things without questioning. lol. I do read ShrinkTalk and GaijinSmash from Rudius which are both easy to read and very entertaining.

I can see how some people wouldn't like his style of writing. It isn't for everyone, sorry if I came of condescending, that wasn't my intention at all. The whole blindly accept and succumb to has nothing to do with is style of writing, more so the themes of many of his essays (his piece about Carlin largely expresses this). But ya ShrinkTalk and GaijinSmash are good, in fact I'd say most of the rudius blogs are pretty solid, I just happen to identify with many of the underlying themes in philalawyers stories.
Funny you should mention Fitzgerald though, as The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books I read during my youth. To each his own.

The Jawa Report
http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/
Awesome blog written by a bunch of guys who are in their late 20s who are pretty big gun enthusiasts, former military, and top of the line hackers who often hack jihadist websites to replace images of people being beheaded and **** with images that offend islamists. They're kind of like the militant conservative version of 4chan. And it's all mixed in with a hilarious Star Wars theme for some reason.
They do a really amazing job of investigating and reporting on the plethora of ******* groups and governments around the world like barely known terrorist and jihadist networks you never hear about from anywhere else in the media. And they're highly active as well in tracking which internet companies are allowing them to host their websites and getting them closed down at the source or flat out hacking them themselves with usally hilarious results.
They generally cover global affairs from a traditionally conservative view point rather than a Republican view point. It's also where I get a lot of my forum posts from. I definitely recommend it for the lulz and activism if you're a red meat eating patriot. Otherwise you'll probably hate it.
