In any case, Sunday's matches were certainly more interesting than Saturday's. I didn't much like the announcers, though - Vhell needs to get his priorities straight and stop going to weddings.

3-2 with fnatic having standin (and that whole DC thing where fnatic had a clear advantage in the final game then got rng'd hard in the replay)

I seem to remember SK europe humiliating fnatic as RMP. So yeah, they are ordinary on international standards. Nihilum plasma and cake are both better teams, SK.eu are better, and x6 are about equal but without the luxury of an OP comp. Those are just the euro teams who can get to the usa.

Didn't nihilum plasma beat fnatic 3-0 before the 3-2 game? I seem to remember they did.
Oh and btw, the only time European teams have lost a tournament against the US was when Nihilum showed up to their first MLG against like 22 NA teams.

Yeah that's right, and in that MLG cake beat the eventual winners (EG?) against a countercomp in the UB final. I think asia is slightly better than eu but there's no question that the USA is clearly inferior.

This discussion is about as cool as Swarm raging on live internet TV. Awesome. Hardly matters who's the better country, it's who's the better team. My fav's atm are GGE and Sk.EU.

There's only been 5 total events so far with both EU & US teams attending.
MLG San Diego: US
WWI Paris: Neither, Asia
ESL Germany: EU
CGS: EU, though this tournament was practically a joke. HPD beats RMP nice.
ESL LA: Undecided yet. But so far "lesser" US teams like GGE and Pandemic's 2nd squad are showing they are easily just as good as EU's best 2 teams, Nihilum Plasma getting outskilled horribly twice so far.

Rubbish, anyone who thinks the american teams are as good is clearly deluded or just very nationalist, as most americans are. MLG SD was a joke, and cake squad should have won it after making the 22 american teams look poor. WWI, americans teams ALL went out of the UB early, it was a euro vs asia competition. In every tournament since, EU has had fewer teams than the usa and more success. It is a nobrainer.
Why was it so easy for americans to claim #1 status during WSVG, when no one else even paricipated... yet when they are trounced in successive tournaments we have to put up with this ****? Just get real, they aren't good. The difference between Orz and nihilum is that nihilum don't have a weak player. If orz replace hafu then yes they will be one of the best in the world and maybe better than nihilum.

Apparently ESL Germany was a joke also then as there were heaps of garbage EU teams there with 1-2 US teams. Same situation as MLG SD, but hey why not be as biased as you can in every post. As for WWI, aside from x6 don't pretend EU did so great either. Not to mention the American teams invited were trash and invited based on WSVG performance ages ago yet still managed a 3rd.
If EU teams are magically on a higher level, explain: Nihilum Plasma losing 2 series to a GGE (RMD LOL), Pandemic's #2 squad taking x6 to the last map twice, EG taking down Nihilum Cake twice, fnatic with an alt warrior stand-in beating an assortment of EU teams like x6tence, mouz, mTw, aAa, etc? You're an idiot if you think there's any real difference in skill between US and EU teams, and that's 1 country vs multiple.

Population wise it's pretty similar, and the US has the advantage of everyone using the same language on all the BG's... not really an argument that will help you

Top Warrior, top Warlock, avg glad druid, bazillions of games played, overpowered comp, RNG, period.
This tournament was fun to watch only because of Gravitas and Pandemic, but gz Fnatic for macestunning and pillar humping your way to another win.

Oh and I love it how people commend how skilled Rhaegyn and Glickz are when they deathcoil/intervene whoever switches to Hafu like it's a pro move.

I really think the players won the match, not the fact they are playing WLD. True that WLD can be a bit boring to watch though.

This has been known for awhile. But there's still gonna be retards here who say "WELL LOL ITS WARRIOR/LOCK/DRUID SO EZ MODE ROFL ROFL, IF I RAN WLD I'D WIN EVERY SINGLE TOURNEY UNDEFEATED LOLOL"
Rhaegyn, Glickz, and Hafu are all some of the best players of their respective classes and beyond that, their teamwork is amazing. They know exactly when to peel, when to swap, when to use CDs, how to kite, etc. They put out so much more pressure than most other WLDs with a better awareness for swaps.

Not saying they're bad, by no means cos they're obviously pretty good. Just, gravitas really deserved the win. Odds were stacked way up and they did play so well. The matches against Pandemic in particular were just so tense!
