I've been doing some theory crafting today thinking about adjusting my stats for pvp but here is some popular data sets.
You want 4% spell hit for PvP targets of the same level. You will
always have at least 1% chance to resist spells with no way around it.
Formulas:
Average Resistance = (Target's Resistance / (Caster's Level * 5)) * 0.75 Damage absorbed / Actual damage taken
= 1 / (1 - damage reduction ) - 1
= 1 / (1 - (resistance / (5 * caster level)) * 0.75) - 1
All these numbers are % for the most part.
Average damage absorbed is per 1 hp.
So for example this first set of data is .15 damage absorbed
meaning 15 points of damage absorbed to bring a target with 100 hp to 0
hp.
If you want me to plug in your numbers just ask.
-------------------------
Average Resist Rate = 0.13
Average Damage Absorbed = 0.15
Target Resists = 90
Caster Level = 70
Caster Spell Penetration = 30
--------------------------
Average Resist Rate = 0.11
Average Damage Absorbed = 0.12
Target Resists = 90
Caster Level = 70
Caster Spell Penetration = 40
--------------------------
Average Resist Rate = 0.1
Average Damage Absorbed = 0.11
Target Resists = 90
Caster Level = 70
Caster Spell Penetration = 45

Yeah warlocks cant actually go about and understand game mechanics and learn more about their class, it's just wrong... locks should just summon the succy and be content staring at the screen pressing lolcoil and winning.....
