Trailer 2 (well the first true trailer, since 'trailer 1' was more of a teaser tbh) for the upcoming Star Trek movie is out. The trailer made its debut with the release of Quantum of Solace in the US, so those of you who have seen the latest James Bond movie (if you haven't definitely check it out) must have caught the trailer, but if you're like me, a trailer isn't really out until you can have it on your computer and loop it to your heart's content.

The trailer has a great opening and when I saw it at the movies (I was at the midnight release of Quantum of Solace so I had no idea whatsoever), the beginning didn't look like Star Trek at all... until the boy says his name. The entire hall was a curious mix of stunned silence with pockets of roaring cheers. Immediately its apparent this movie is going to be something different.
The rest of the trailer speaks for itself, some known faces in the cast (Siler from Heroes is Mr. Spock), amazing visual effects and an apparently impressive storyline looks like it'll definitely set this movie apart.

Just as a sidenote, I hate the Star Trek series, I've always found it kinda dull and I never really got into sci-fi shows because of that first impression when I was younger (until Firefly and Battelstar Galactica). I've never been able to watch more than 30 minutes of any Star Trek movie either.
However, this is one movie I'm highly anticipating for the future. I have faith in J.J. Abrams (responsible for Lost and Cloverfield).
One of the best Rogue PvP videos from the BC era.
I know I know, the majority of comments after I post this will indignantly ask why I would waste their precious time with a video from level 70, something which is of no conceivable use to them anymore.
Well, because not enough people are 80 yet to resume production of quality pvp videos and so to fill in the time, exceptional videos from the past will have to do. And boy is this a good one.

A general problem with rogue videos is, no one really cares enough to see clip after clip of watching a rogue kill someone from 100 percent in the span of a standard stunlock, but the video has a great variety of clips, escaping tough situations (vanish + broom? Hi), vanishing pom pyros/deathcoils, using engineering toys, heck there's a great use of a snowball somewhere in there too. The video consists of duels, world pvp, arenas and random clips (which contrary to popular belief, are integral to the entertainment value of any video.)

All of them stringed together with tight editing and great music that doesn't allow for a dull moment throughout the video's roughly 28 minutes duration. Definitely one of the best rogue videos I've seen in BC. Worth checking out.

Killing people that die in 1 hit, that's so sick 5/5/5/5
If this gets into any sort of top list of "best Rogue PvP videos from the BC era" then you just havent been paying attention.
And who the **** is Siler? You mean Sylar?

Apparently you and I didn't see the same video.
Either that or, ironically enough, YOU haven't been paying attention.

I've watched the movie, both parts of it, that you linked in your blog, around three times now.
I can create a compiation video for you if you want, it would really take that much to gather the entire below-avrage content of the movie.
Although it'd be easier to just put together the moments worth mentioning (in temrs of, actually doing a good job playing his class), since they're few enough to count on one hand.

The ONLY reason this video is above avrage, is because the avrage is lower then dity from the cesspool of **** players that feel like posting their garbage on WCM.
Even then I'm fairly sure I've watched atleast 30-35ish movies better than this one with lv70 rogues, so I guess sure if your "best movies of BC" toplist consists of a 1 to 50 then sure, but that's not a standard I would hold.

The thing about critics, there is always someone who has negative things to say about a piece of work.
I'm not saying this as a slight to you, its just fact. We don't operate as some bizzare global hive mind, so naturally people will disagree on almost everything.
I have been watching WoW pvp videos since pre-bc. I'm a bit of an enthusiast really. I have a 250gb external hard drive dedicated to WoW vids, so for the most part, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to these videos.
So as far as I'm concerned, yes I love the video and I think its one of the best ones from BC, good balance of showcasing skill and entertainment value.

I've got about 750 downloaded movies on WCM stats, and they have reset my stats on this account at one point (because of some change in the system), and I also had a previous account there that got banned.
And I've watched maybe 5 non-rogue movies, 10 at very most.
I guess you could call me an enthusiast aswell.
But I guess I'm a bit biased since I put a lot of weigh on actual skill, being used to watching myself play every day it just pains me to see how insulting perspective some people have on the class.
If you compare 90% of the content of this movie to what you can theoretically achieve playing the class at a high level, you'd see my point.

Sounds like you're a little too full of yourself tbh.
Mind linking armory and any vids you've made or seen that are definitively better?

And I guess that's how you handle product reviews aswell?
You just completely ignore them with the logic of "Well these guys reviewing it can't make anything better so they can't possibly be able to evaluate things!"!
Amazing~
And no I'm not really full of myself, I'm just a good player- which I naturally would be after playing my class activly for so long while retaining an interrest for pvp during my time.
I'd link you the armory if it werent for that I... cashed out so to speak. Leveling a new rogue as we speak. And even then, what exactly are you expecting from an armory profile now? My gear? And what would that tell you? No, I don't have any warglaives.

Well, so far all I see you do is wax poetic about how amazing you are and this video is apparently trash (even though many incredibly talented rogues who've seen it also say its a great video), basically you talk out of your ass without anything concrete to back it up with.
So you shouldn't be surprised someone assumes that you're just a... troll.

"wax poetic about how amazing you are" Is it fun to paraphrase me? And you're accusing ME of trolling... lol~
"video is apparently trash (even though many incredibly talented rogues who've seen it also say its a great video)" I've already said it's above avrage.

Being the first star trek movie in awhile, and also considering it deals with Kirk's initiation into the fleet, I think we can safely assume it'll be decently long.

played against helamen, and i can safely say he's one of the best rogues on the battlegroup, if not the best rogue, he played to 2.2k with no losses as double rogue, as a warlock, that's scary xD
loved the video, shame i xferred away from there (vindication lulz) :

Didnt even notice he was on vindication... I guess that's why there's not much arena footage :>
Rolling there myself atm for the sake of IRL mates, will be fun to see how different it is from cyclone.

I also thought the Rogue video to be just above average. It's clear he's skilled but he doesn't put enough effort into showing skill over entertaining flash. Definitely a good video, but not one of the best I've seen.
