Greetings my fellow warlocks and witches,
If any of you have played some BGs, particularily Alterac Valley since this is its week, you must have noticed the effect of the newly implemented Anti-afk report system. Thanks to it, the horde is winning AV much more on my battlegroup and both sides have 95% less leachers than before. Basicly, you can right click anyone's name, icon on the map, or character portrait and click report afk. After a few complaints they get this debuff that prevents them from gaining honor unless they go in combat with pvp targets. When I first heard of this at blizzcon, I thought it would be just another weak system, but boy was I wrong.

On another note, I left my 2v2 arena team with the rogue Antaria and the resto druid Fock (both of whom are hardcore pve junkies but still are quite good at pvp), and joined up with another team with a shadowpriest & friends. Thankfully, those were much more interested in pvp and we quickly managed to get the teamwork down, reaching 1650s in half a day's work. Which is quite good for our gear. We beat some almost full pvp epics teams due to our good teamwork and CC timing. Here are some of the more interesting matchups:
2x Frost mage - Nagrand arena: Buffed up and put on my spellstone and gave my teammate, Tusker the Spriest, a healthstone. Too bad I forgot to make one for myself, which ended up costing us the match. Started the match by camping behind a pillar and figuring out a strategy. Tusker said we should rush, fear, dot up then kill the gnome (it was a gnome + human). I agreed and we rushed, alas, they decided to rush us too, they poped up the elementals and shattered me up, i only ate 2x 2k icelances before trinketing the first nova, I dotted them up as I ran for LOS. Ate an icenova + 1x 2x icelance before spellstoning out of it as fast as I could. With both pets at me and a barrage of fireblasts and cones of cold, I couldn't get out of LOS quickly, so I poped my shield and AOE feared, which bought me time to run for cover. I played LOS with one mage and two elementals while my teammate duked his damage on the gnome. After about 15 seconds they ratted me out and finished me off (if i had my healthstone
). The human mage was <30% and gnome was <5%. Tusker SWDed the gnome but he iceblocked in time. Here he made a mistake of trying to mass dispell, where he could have changed targets to the human mage to finish him off or atleast attempt to LOS them to buy time for his dots to run their course. Close match which we could have won ![]()
Resto shaman + Arms warriors in full gladiator: they came rushing, sent out FG to get the warrior in combat, succeeded. Dotted him up and feared the shaman, then drew the warrior out of LOS and nuked him down by spamming our cooldown stuff. Shaman quit shortly there after.
Warlock (?? spec)/Frost mage almost full pvp epics - Ruins of Lordaeron: They rushed, mage in first, they focused Tusker and left me seduced. Trinketed the first one and dotted both of them before getting reseduced. Tusker was already struggling but he managed to soften them up. My felguard was bashing the ice mage's skull all the while too. When I went out of the second seduce i started out full dps on both with Immolate Corruption CoA combo. Warlock <50% started draining me, mage <15%. Shadowburn + Cleave + pet = dead ice mage.. The warlock somehow killed my felguard in the confusion, then started draining me again, I was at 70% then, I insta summoned another felguard, dotted him up and started scorching, it was a battle of attrition, which I won by a margin of 20% hp.

wow, what a rp nerd
