Hello folks.

As you might have read, off topic posts (including political posts) will no longer be allowed on WoWRiot as of this Monday.  This means no more politics, no more stories about girls, no more economic posts, etc.

I will miss talking with many of you about politics.  While it's nice to talk to those that agree, it's good to hear from people who disagree and make decent arguments.    Especially those from overseas, since they often have a different perspective on politics.

I'll still write about World of Warcraft here, and I might still have a few griefing posts left in me.

My question for all of you is, should I make my political posts elsewhere?   Are you interested enough in what I have to write to bother going to a different URL outside of gameriot?

While I enjoy reading your stuff, I probably wouldn't go elsewhere for it tbh.  I am just too busy to regularly check/read another bookmark, and having the content near here makes it easier to read over.

Yes, you should..
Why iam not surprised that politics blogs are forbidden when strong anti-leftist contest arise? - becouse I live in post-comunist country and i'am used to this:D

And btw VIR - public healthcare sucks - you can believe me  - we've been there (theoretically, socialist state COULD have the strongest healthcare (or virtually any other economic branch) in a world, by spending all of their funds on this particular branch: we dont have cars, computers, pens (and billion other things) - but we have three doctors per man - but still it never worked well in any country). USSR tried this approach with their army - they failed: soldiers also need cars, computers and bilion other things which only free market can effectively produce.

I would say go elsewhere, but you might be hard-pressed to find a legitimate blogging site that will allow you to continue posting racist content.  Also, you don't know much about politics and you rely on your feverish cult-like right-wing rhetoric to troll the GR community.  It works here, but I think on real blogging sites, this type of content won't go very far.

So, as much as I'd love to tell you to go elsewhere, I think you're better off writing here about what it's like being a baddie ret paladin and being stuck in the 1600s.

It's not racist to talk about race.  Unfortunately bone headed leftists like yourself think it is, which puts me in a bad spot.

Well, it shouldn't matter much if readers from GR do or don't follow you somewhere else. As much as I enjoyed your political posts - the fact of agreeing with them or not is immaterial - I can see why a gaming portal is not the most appropriate place for them. If you are passionate about the subject you should continue writing about it wherever you have the opportunity to do so.
Or you can roll a Sarahpaladin character and narrate about her struggle against the black knight Barack Arthas Obama and his army of mindless zombies. You might even get away with it. Or not.

Interestingly, all of my greatest political discussions happened within the context of gaming.  I was one of the most prolific political posters back on the EverQuest shaman forums.  I posted there for nearly four years and two election cycles.  The audience, like here, included some pretty interesting people and all political viewpoints.  In fact my decision to attend law school stemmed from discussions with a liberal US Army JAG officer and some of the abuses occurring in the system.

The hardest part about blogging elsewhere is building a readership.  It can be done, it's just difficult with the large number of competing blogs.  This niche was unique in that you had an audience that share similar interests and most have the same youthful outlook on life.

I read political articles every day, but I rarely read political blogs per se.

That's how it should be anyways.

This is the internet though, where you wont find rational discussions, just a bunch of idiots trolling idiots.

It's not cool and witty when you're just repeating something someone else said that was marginally insightful.

OMG VIR LEAVING?!

LOL OK.

lol, i misread that.  too ******* bad.

anyway, vir, you seem pretty unsure of yourself.  you need a bunch of kids telling you what to do?  you know the majority of the internet doesn't care about what you post, and that kills you.  :(

Nah just curious about how many people were interested.  Not everyone here is a kid.  Now go work on your eye makeup fattie.

And the ones not interested get berated?

You are correct though, not everyone here is a kid, but I doubt many adults care either. Strange how that works.

If your profile age is true, I'm pretty shocked. You read like any other 17 year old attention seeker with a barbed tongue and short temper. Why is this so?

Hi ***face.  I don't berated those not interested, only those that make trolling attempts.

Go back to posting pictures you didn't make, since you have no talent.  kthxbai!

Continue being a 33 year old boy, caring too much about what a group of predominantly teenage boys think about his middle of his road, formulated political ramblings with a twist of angst, since he has no adult listeners who care nor take him seriously.

Maybe, but if that is the plan it would have been nice if they released it before the ban.  Ahh well, not my website. :)
