So it's now what, a month or so since arena has been released. I've literally been on over 10 2v2 teams trying out different comps, different partners, and different specs. First off here's a link to my spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxIMzGgtMcoifRtfVzoI decided to pass up SoR, as in 2v2 only bad teams, or Ring of Valor, will allow you to take full advantage of it. It also gives up some amazing talents in the Disc tree, such as Penance. I plan on picking up the shield talents though once t… More

A few nights ago me and a few friends got drunk and decided to make a parody of Cloverfield/Blair Witch. The Cat in the Hat is the culprit, but you don't know that. I'm in it in a few scenes. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVcMdaFddEc Oh and to make this blog warcraft related. PuG BG's are worse than root canal. Currently being 4 capped in EotS. 600k Healing done to the other teams total of 300k. Gotta love how bad PuGs are. Especially when most are wearing S2. How the hell can you still be … More

Over the past week I've been doing a decent amount of arena, roughly 100 games over 4 teams. I've gone from 100 resil to 550. I've tried 4 classes as a partner. I've tried multiple specs. I've come to one conclusion, from 100 resil to 550 is barely any difference. Among that I've been trying to find the best partner for a Disc Priest. So far I've tried Mutilate Rogue, Prot Warrior, Demo Lock, and an Unholy DK. Keep in mind with my evaluations that none of them were particularly amazingly skilled, neither am I, and none of them had over 200 resil.… More

So this is something me and what seems like every healing Priest has been pondering for the past few days: What spec do we go? Me and a few guildies have been talking, largely it really depends on your group make up and what bracket. I've come up with a few specs, not sure what I'm going to pick yet, but hopefully I'll find something that works. Before I go into specs, it should be known I plan on running Prot War/Priest and Arms War/Holy Paladin/Priest as far as 2v2/3v3 go. I know the first comp… More

Yesterday I was talking to a few guildies about PvP and it got me thinking about how to spec for Discipline come S5. The first thing I noticed was how bloated this tree was, 80 points to spend. I honestly have no real idea what will be the best spec, and with 11 points necessary in Holy (in my opinion), it's real tight in the Discipline tree currently. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxGMzIgtMeoVcRtfVz That is what I came up with. Since it's impractical to go any more Holy, Disc Priests have to giv… More

Yesterday I'm sitting in a party with my level 77 Warrior friend (77 myself) and managed to fill the group for Gun'Drak. We had no healer, and it's a ***** to find one sometimes, so I opted to go Discipline for the run since I've been wanting to try it out with the changes anyway. After rigging a quick Discipline spec, primarily for PvE healing, we head into the instance. What I quickly found out was that Discipline was not only tons of fun healing as, it had immense amounts of Mana Regen/efficie… More

So instead of making a long post noone wants to read, I'll just get right to changes I'd love to see for Shadow Priests, and Priests in general. Power Word: Shield-Is still weak compared to how good it was at 60. It needs to have a slightly higher base. An auto swing crit shouldn't tear through it. Abolish Disease-This needs to be castable in Shadowform. It's far too important now with Death Knights and going back into Shadowform constantly is a huge loss of mana and global cooldowns. Either that … More

I haven't posted a blog in a while, this is mostly due to the fact that I stopped playing for a while since I relocated and have been working a lot. It was also due to the fact that BC had burned me out, I had become very bored of the game, as most had, and needed some time away. Anyway, about two weeks ago a friend gave me a WotLK cd Key so I started playing again. Anyway here's my thoughts on it so far. LevelingThis was the thing above all I dreaded, leveling another 10 levels. Thankfully Blizz… More

Well it's been a rather exciting week for Shadow Priests, good and bad. Let's get into it.
First off Improved Power Word: Shield has traded spots with Improved Inner Fire. This is actually an excellent change as the second tier of Discipline really didn't do much for Shadow Priests. Now Shadow Priests can freely spend more talents in the Shadow Tree without worry of spending points they deem unecessary in the Discipline tree. Source
Lately the blues have been busy in the beta Priest section and had… More

Well, a friend showed this to me from the latest beta build and I thought I'd share it:
You disperse into pure Shadow energy, reducing all damage taken by 90%. You are unable to attack or cast spells, but you regenerate 6% mana every 1 sec for 6 sec. Dispersion can be cast while stunned, feared or silenced. If Dispersion runs its full duration, and you are not the victim of any damage or harmful effects during its duration, your spells gain 25% damage for 1 min.ÂÂ
Instant, 3 min cooldown
