Gotta love Valve and their willingness to answer community emails. One thing I have always respected over there, even though may not listen to all of our opinions, they are very much in tune with the community and keeping their ears open.According to a new email from Robin Walker to a Steam Community member there are some cool features on the way besides the big ones (new achievements, weapons, boosts, maps).
Robin had this to say:
Sorry for the super late reply on this one. I'm getting a bit behind in my email replying.
We already have some extra fluff in the pipeline. You can look forward
to new melee animations for all the classes, and some new taunts as
well. The reason we focused on unlocking for the first set of weaponry
was to give people some rewards for completing the Medic achievements.
Some of them are a bunch of fun, and pretty easy to get, which will
allow everyone to unlock the first weapon without much effort. That
said, our plan is to ensure that everyone gets to play with some new
toys soon, so we'll be adding some non-locked weaponry shortly
afterwards. Our goal isn't to ensure that everyone has an identical set
of choices, but it is to ensure that everyone gets to participate in
the fun of selecting weaponry based on how they like to play a
particular class.
We've been thinking about Gravelpit's A point. No decisions made yet, but we definitely agree with your criticism.
New taunts and animations for melee weapons, pretty sweet if I have to say so myself. How about that Heavy "tiger uppercut" I have been clamoring for.
So the new achievements and unlockables are still in the works. Hopefully these hurry up and get here because I am sick of waiting for them and Goldrush!

New taunts and animations for melee weapons would be "pure pwnage" .. wait are we allowed to say that anymore?
Like I said previously im trademark and copyrighting use of "ownage" for my branding, Which as you all know its "Owns" "pwnage" and all derivative's.

A balance to Gravelpit A would be great. There're basically no choke points barring the ones beside Blue spawn, and trying to turret the place just yields to sniping since there aren't any particularly good corridors of vision to use.

Only a handful of games have hooked me like TF2 has. Counter Strike, HL1, Ocarina of Time, and San Andreas.
As work has picked up I have spent less time playing the past couple weeks, but still almost always have that urge to play. I love it and I can't wait till some of these significant updates hit.

Ocarina of time, i remember that! Execellent game and took many hours of my life away hah.
As for counterstrike, it was fun for like 5 mins, then all te hacking began and it was extremely rampant for so long that i pretty much got a bad taste for the game.
