As you play DotA, you will experience some rough games.  In these games emotions will fly, and blaming will begin.  There will be complaints of people who are never at team fights, or no early ganks blah- blah- ****in- blah!!  Everyone talks about how to win, but no one talks about the games they're losing.

In this entry, I will talk about how to overcome tough games that seems lost.
Note: This is mainly written for teams or, at least 3 friends on one side.

As every gamer knows, you never give up.

We just got a real match! WE JUST GOT A REAL MATCH!!

Pointing fingers... worse than elementary.
If someone ****** up?  Unless they are less than okay, they probably already know.  There is little point in reiterating their mistake and making them feel even worse.  This not only bringst he team morale down, but it's just not cool.  Also, people like to share when they did something awesome.  They note it on vent or via chat ("DID YOU SEE THAT?! XD").  Conversely, if you ****** up, be the first to admit it saying you ****** up.  This will build trust among your teammates as you can share your faults as much as your success.  To acknowledge faults in a losing game also lightens the mood.  Because when a game goes wrong, things get tense, and for some reason, people act perfect.  So when you **** up, go ahead and admit it.  It might actually bring the team together.

What is needed? Assessing the problem.
Calm down and assess where your team stands right now.  Whatever mistake happened is past.  Oh, he ****** up here, picked wrong heroes, supposed to do this and that, blah-blahdy-******* blah.  You want to review ****?  Do it after the game is over.  The game is now, and it's happening right here.  Why discuss about mistakes now.  Focus on what is happening now.  And what can you do to improve the current situation.  What are you lacking?  What has to be done now?

Smart, defensive play.
Gank smart.  When a team is losing, they often hastly try to recover it by ganking clumsily.  Don't do that.  You want to gank with coordination, with vision, and possibly with rune and safety.  If it doesn't feel right, just back off.  What are you losing?  Nothing.  Instead, ganking clumsily will only result death (and gold).  If your team is not even strong enough to gank, then don't do it.  "Oh, but we need to gank!!"  No, not really.  No one puts a gun to your head saying you have to gank.  Ganking is beneficial, but not dying and farming steadily to recover is most important in a losing game.  Play defensively and try to capitalize on their mistakes... for now.  An advanced play would be to induce a mistake by baiting and ****, but these are risk moves you don't have to perform.  Don't dig yourself a bigger hole.  Just relax, and solve the game step by step.

Most importantly...
Do the basics.  Seriously, do the ******* basics.  First, you secure vision to restore map control.  Not only do you buy observer wards, you buy sentries as well to counter their vision.  Don't let them walk all over you and strike a sense of fear into coming to your side of river.  Secure vision, protect your carry to farm.  Fight in vision, don't venture into the fog, get caught and die.  In a losing game, if you can win at least one big fight, it can really lessen the pressure.  Now you win a second big team fight?  It's very possible to turn the table around right there.  So don't fight when you are not in advantage.  You pretty much do what you would do in a winning game.  If you can fight above a ramp, ******* do it.  If you can have a jump on them with vision, do it.

Remember!
No matter how dire the situation is, don't give up.  Try and do your best to solve the game.  Some games are beyond help, but that doesn't excuse you from playing any worse than your winning games.  I've had games crazy games where we won a hit away from losing.  Honestly, you could see the attack animation the enemy hero was making to finish the throne at 40hp or so.  But we killed the tree before his hit landed.  It happens, these insane games.  And the sweetness of that victory... I'm sure you've had those as well.  It trascends the word awesome.

The biggest factor to a losing game is you.  Because you must have ****** up somewhere for you to be in that ****ty situation.  The problem of this is that instead of trying to make the situation better, people usually just dig deeper holes and trap themselves.  Really though, if you end up losinsg?  Ah ****, you lost.  What's the big deal :P  What did you really lose?  Nothing.  Getting used to losing is never easy for a competitive player.  ****...  I know it's pretty tough on me.  But letting it have the best of you is perhaps what real losing is.

On a side note..

I don't know if I should respect NDA or not for HoN.  There are quite a few I would like to commend about this game.  Personally, I very much dislike NDA.  I think NDA has more hazzards than goods to offer.  For one, I think it candycoats the game.  As an advertising student, I know that if a brand is doing something nice, you want everyone and their grandma to know that their brand is good (like economically friendly).  So for me, if a game is good, why the **** wouldn't they let others know how great their game is?  That's why I think NDA is full of ****, beyond its means to protect their project.  In fact, I blame NDA for Warhammer's terribleness.  If people had known it better, and attacked it, Warhammer would not have released in its alpha(questionably beta) state.  I hate the candycoating, same reason I had asked Kyle.P to tear the game apart for Darkfall, and he delivered it.

Still considering as of now though.

Good read. I have always found it funny that when people lose the blame always falls on someone else but when they win the credit is all theirs. I wish people would just nut up and admit they aren't perfect and learn from their mistakes.

Amazing blog... i was always about criticizing on when you **** up. To a friend who isnt quite as good as the rest of us it must be really frustrating the flaws that they know they do.  Dealing with the situation later would be the best solution to these  problems that occur.

These are written from my own experience.  I was once a very(extremely) sour player and would bring others down.  The thing was, I was completely oblivious that I was doing this.  I was young, but I was also very stupid.  It wasn't until a very close friend told me that I am really ******* up.  That's when I stopped being ridiculous.

Not having played any of the Marvel v Capcom games, that fight was kind of hard to follow during all the fighter swapping and super attacks.  Fighting games are a guilty pleasure of mine though.
