America's War on Drugs = LOL

You see, in Amsterdam, you can order Pot off of a menu in a restaurant.  It's sort of like Denny's, but instead of customizing your Grand Slam and getting your hash browns smothered and covered, you, um, ORDER POT ON A ******* MENU.  How are we more stoned than this country?

Harold and Kumar may have taught me not to fall in love with a giant bag of weed, but it didn't prepare me for the startling realization that... GASP... America's fight against drugs may not be going so well.

I'll give you time to deal with this shocking revelation yourself.

OK just kidding.  If you were actually surprised, you might also be intrigued to learn that you're legally retarded and probably need supervision while using a pencil.

Here's how it works:

America, as a country, is like a roving pack of hormonally-fueled teenagers.  Tell them not to do something, and they'll do precisely the opposite.  You can keep them in the dark about something dangerous, but they're just going to try it anyway and probably hurt themselves in the process.  My mother was so completely honest with me about drugs and sex that my only option for rebellion was to be as conscientious of the world around me as possible.  It was so boring.  I could have had so much more sex with drunk chicks in high school.
