the rune on the bottom left-ish is the protoss symbol

Please be the aftermath of that ambiguous ending in Diablo 2: LoD, if it is then I will be playing Blizzard games for another 5-6 years at least.

Building in a Diablo rune (Hel?), the Protoss rune and also some WotLK style rune, it may be just about everything.

WW1 will feature Diablo 3, STarcraft 2, and WOTLK. Blizzard is ****n nuts to be making 3 games at the same time. ****

IMO, the possible compilation of all the symbols is a big hint that the ice breaking is just leading to Blizzcon. There's nothing hidden; it's just in reference to the countdown to their big event.
