Did anyone see the Jones vs Calzaghe fight? It was awesome, one of the better boxing matches I have seen in awhile...
Here is my list of favorite fights. This is not a list of the best technical fights; rather, it is mostly based off of entertainment value.
5. Takanori Gomi vs Nick Diaz
      - Just a great fight, non stop action, both standing and on the ground
4. Fedor Emelianenko vs Tim Sylvia
       - Complete Fedor domination, short and sweet. While one can argue that Fedor vs Nog and Fedor vs Cro Cop are better, I just love this fight.
3. Stephan Bonnar vs Forrest Griffin
            - One of the most important, if not the most important, fights in MMA history. Just nonstop action. (B/c UFC is gay and the full fight isn't on youtube, and I dunno how to imbed from random asian sites, this is only a highlight)
2. Matt Hughes vs Frank Trigg 2
      - Just an incredible fight. I can't find a video because nazi UFC removed it from every site I know....so i put a Matt Hughes HL here instead
1. Don Frye vs Takayama
     - One of the most entertaining sporting events I have ever seen, this fight is truly out of a movie. Don Frye could give one of his testicles to everyone on GR, and he would still have ∞ left over.

-------
So anyway...if you want bash/revise this list, its all personal opinion, I'm sure im leaving a few out, so hard to narrow to five...wednesday is UFC 91 predicitons/discussions, so be sure to A. Read my ****ty predictions, and B. Put money on the person I pick to lose

Hughes vs. Trigg 2...
Silva vs Jackson 2 and Fedor vs. Nog would have to be on mine with your 5 & 3. Not sure about the last one.

The Hughes vs Trigg fight plays like a Hollywood fight scene (in a good way).

A bit off topic but american commentation is so much better than german. Dunno maybe the language is just better for broadcasting but german commentators rarely show this kind of exitement or at least not in every fight. You know sentences like "ITS PAYBACK TIME" just do it for me. It's so much more emotion... voices are cracking... awesome

You obviously don't get what German commentating is about. Not so much about screaming around (although we have those aswell), but to create a good atmosphere and to know when to shut up. Premiere definitely delivers. Talking and yelling all the time just doesn't fit here unlike in Spain or England (or USA).

Well but that doesn't appeal to me. I can perfectly watch golf without being bored because of american commentation. Since the death of ran, emotion died in german commentation and it just doesn't ignite me at all.

Ok, I'm perfectly fine with our commentators though. Everyone who matters works for Premiere nowadays, I guess you just don't have a subscription.

Only for sports, but yeah I premiere. I think it's quite comparable to WoM. I like Ming over Jasi&Serennia. Emotion (drama) over serious sports journalism (haha ok not quite comparable :P) . It's my freetime. No need for flat out boring presentation.

Royce Gracie vs Kimo
I can't believe I saw this 14 years ago.
It was the first MMA fight that blew my mind, as it simply showed technique eventually beating brawn (and some hot gi vs hair action).

Mark Hunt vs CroCop(PRIDE)
Hunt took like 3 max power headkicks and didn't flinch.
Randleman vs Fedor

A great example of how inhuman Fedor is. It always make me whince.

I'd like to see some kinda Science/Discovery Channel special on how in the world he didn't die right there.

Might've been a better idea to guard his head properly :/

Im kind of a newb as far as MMA goes, only started watching about 2 years ago, but I really enjoy it.
The #1 fight you posted, Don Frye vs Takayama, was entertaining, but it just felt like a slug fest. I prefer a more technical fight to the balls to the wall brawls. Dont get me wrong, cool as hell to watch, but lacked any real finness which is soemthing I look for in a fight.
In my limited experience, I really enjoyed GSP vs Matt Sera in Montreal. I was blown away by the way GSP controlled the whole fight and his execution.

I completely agree on the number 1 fight. It's just so ******* fun to watch, lol, not technical at all, but awesome to watch

I can't say I've watched alot of fights but one of my favorites was Mark Hunt vs Wanderlei Silva. Both pretty much decked each over for 3 rounds. fun to watch imo

I loved that fight too...there are just so many fights to choose from, it's hard to really narrow it down to five.
