I was checking my email this morning and got this pretty clever message from "Blizzard":

Yeah I got 3 of those this morning, getting better in their scam emails. I thought the last ones were hilarious, because they wrote _donotreply@blizzard.com in the subject line. 

What I want to know is how they got my email, I wonder which gaming site sold the info, was it this one, mmo-champ, aj, ej, sk...

How are they getting email addresses for WoW players?

There are several million of them in North America right? They can just e-mail this to everyone they can, just like they do for other things only a few million people would ever want.

There are a lot of people who would fall for this. Many kids have accounts that their parents manage and let's be honest - it's pretty reasonable to expect a parent who knows nothing about the content of this game to **** it up.

They get picked up off forum posts etc. That's why you see some people posting emails like "blah at blah dot com."

I love scammers that don't even use proper grammar in their spam emails. Yes, "plase you us sent bank acount infomation" is toooootally believable.
