Good Evening Community.

Since this is my first blog, allow me to introduce myself: My name is V.

Now, when we got the introduction out of the way let's have a look at this evenings topic. The war between the White House and Fox News has been lurking for quite some time, but it's not until recent actions that the debate really has really taken off. Hannity's coverage on the Green Czar more or less got him to resign. This was done by exposing various radical behaviors, such as signing a 9/11-conspiracy petition. Hannity got a taste of blood and proceeded by going after the Safe School Czar, who is a homosexual activist. With Hannity's Czar-hunt it is my hypothesis that this was the reason the White House banned Fox News from an interview with “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg. The other networks protested, and rightfully so, saying if Fox News weren’t allowed to interview neither of them would go through with the interview either. The White House gave in and as a result you can no longer watch either Fox News or MSNBC in primetime without hearing them nagging about it.

This event has fueled a right-wing base that seems to do just about anything to slander Obama’s reputation. How far will they go?

Well, this week Mr. Limbaugh gave us a pretty good Idea. On his radios show he read and discussed what he believed to be an old Obama thesis on distrusting wealth, from the blog “Jumping In Pools” only to find out afterwards that the Obama thesis was in fact satirical and bogus. Ouch!
Conservative bloggers jumped on the bandwagon, neither of them without checking the source or if this was in fact real. Matthew Avitabile, the blogger behind the fake Obama thesis, told the Politicofact, “Out of the 50,000 who looked at it, only three had the good sense to contact me and see if it was true.” It’s safe to say Mr. Limbaugh was not one of them.

With talk- and radio-hosts not even checking facts, because they’re so determined to smudge the President reputation, and White House trying to bar media – have it all gone a little too far? Perhaps similar events took place with Bush as president, but I didn’t live in United States at the time so I have honestly nothing to say about it.

While we all feel very strongly about our country, it baffles me to what extent we will go:

The other day I was walking to class and there were 3 gentlemen holding signs with Obama sporting a Hitler-stache and the words “I’ve changed”. As I walked by, one strappin’ young fellow asked me if I liked the mustache and smiled at me. I looked at the picture and asked “What are you trying to say? What’s the similarity here?” He shrugged and looked down. Here’s a guy holding a pretty radical poster on a University Campus and he didn’t even seem to know why... amazing.

The sums of my thoughts on this case are well portrayed by the great Mencius:

“If your Majesty say, "What is to be done to profit my kingdom?" the great officers will say, "What is to be done to profit our families?" and the inferior officers and the common people will say, "What is to be done to profit our persons?" Superiors and inferiors will try to snatch this profit the one from the other, and the kingdom will be endangered.”

"The benevolent has no enemy."

Mencius.

It is often said that the wheel that squeaks the loudest is the one getting the attention, and in tonight segment of the O’reilly Factor Mr. O’reilly said he believed Fox News to be the most powerful news organization in the country – perhaps rightfully so. A Senior advisor to MSNBC stated the obvious on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, that they are more than likely loving the attention because all in the all it all boils down to ratings/money which is the very same reason we’re seeing Verdak blogging for World of Ming – and that’s what’s wrong with the world.

Speaking of Verdak and things that are wrong with the world, my next blog will be on just that. Also check out Stonedrunk's blog about America, a pretty interesting read.

TLDR - White house is full of leftists that hate fox and decide randomly not to allow fox into their group, fox wins, leftists and rightists celebrate. Rush Limbaugh is an idiot, despite making hundreds of millions from his lies and slanders. Obama is a nazi.

I think you guys are missing the political point to engaging fox news. It's not to deny them coverage or ability, its not even to limit there viewership. You can bet the white house understands that the people who watch foxnews and buy into the commentary are not going to be on there side of the fence in an election.

That said. I think the real objective is to outmaneuver the republicans who at the moment are trying to backpedal from the more extreamist elements of the conservative electorate(teabaggers and the like). While that part of the party is loud and very politically active they are still a minority in the electorate. By engaging fox news the media attention goes too fox news and by extension  Hannity, O'riley, and Beck. By keeping these personalities in the 24 hour news cycle they keep the extreme right wing in full view of the public (and keep the more moderate and electable senators and congressional reps out of view) and allow the 20 percent approval rating of the republican party to translate into votes for the democrats.

If they succeed in this strategy they will have defined the republicans in a way that makes them unelectable as a national party.

Self defined liberals make up 15% of the electorate, while conservatives make up 35%.   Liberals might as well be a cult with such a small amount of people that believe int hat ideology.

They'd be better off sticking to rigging the census, and intimidating voters.

Your getting the 15 and 35 percent numbers where? Self defined is also a tricky way to identify voting trends. Some people vote party line, others vote specific national issues, and assuming your data is accurate 35 percent of Americans is still not enough to win an election. Parties have to moderate their agendas and messages to get moderates into the fold.

They'd be better off sticking to rigging the census, and intimidating voters.

Right, cause a 10+ million national lead in the popular vote can be attributed to these 2 facts alone. This black helicopter bull**** is about as appealing as the 9/11 truthers.

Look them up.  Liberalism is small enough to be a cult in America.

The white house taking over the census is fact, as is the voter intimidation that went on in the last election.   I never said that was the reason John McCain isn't president, I simply stated that these are better strategies then the president lowering himself to attacking talk show hosts.

Like most uneducated liberals, you are arguing against a point I never made.  Congratulations on your strawman, now do us all a favor and never vote again.

Uh no, you cited them so you cite your source. Otherwise its bull****.

The white house taking over the census is fact, as is the voter
intimidation that went on in the last election.

First of all the census is overseen by the Department of Commerce. Which is run by a person appointed by the President and approved by the Senate. That's written into the constitution. So when in our history as a country has it ever not been under the operation of the White House?

I never said that was
the reason John McCain isn't president, I simply stated that these are

Fair enough. I explained why the president is taking this strategy, so obviously I disagree with you there.

You did not cite any of the facts you posted. I had to explain to you how the census actually works, so who is the moron here?

I'm not doing research for you, but a poll came out just about a month ago citing the percentages of liberals vs conservatives.  Go use google, you lazy leach****. First of all the census is overseen by the Department of

Again, if you don't pay attention to what's going on in the news, I'm not going to google up news stories for you.  I realize you're an idiotic kid who has no idea what he's talking about, but the least you can do is shut the **** up if you're clueless.

Again you cited it, so come up with a link to the data. Since you did not I assume your full of ****, which is a correct assumption.

Yep So clueless. Except I did look it up, thats from a fun document called the constitution. I know its hard to read past the bold print "OBAMA ruining America!" headlines in foxnews but you should try it sometimes, you might find out that not everything you read on the internet is fact.

I will point out that you basically admitted you have no idea wtf your talking about because you did not address anything I wrote.

Oh check it out. I just read on the internetz that Vir is a ******* retard. It's true cause I read it somewhere then posted it here. SEE WHAT I DID THAR? Kill yourself.

You can assume whatever you want.  I didn't address your stupidity because it wasn't worth the time to look up and cite a statistical study that was in the news a few months back.  If you missed it and you're butt hurt about it, go to google instead of *****ing about me.  kthxbai
