We are currently in the process of applying a hotfix to buff resilience. While some modifications may be made, we intend to have this buff in effect for the remainder of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
The change will double the value of resilience in reducing damage done by players. So depending on their current amount of resilience, characters might experience a 10 to 20% decrease in damage taken from other players. The critical strike chance and critical strike damage reduction components of resilience will remain unaffected by this change.
(...)
This is good news, and I might actually have a reason to play 2v2 with a healer instead of enhancement shaman in S8. After increasing item budget cost of resilience in WotLK, we now see it as more and more valuable stat (which is technically reversing that change). New resilience formula will not only help in reducing the insane amounts of damage everybody do, it will also punish people wearing PvE gear in arenas, and let's be honest here - PvE gear is the best for PvE, I kind of expect PvP gear to be the best gear for PvP. From Warrior's PoV, considering that I'm a bit below ARP softcap with lackluster resilience in my current gear, my decision to get the mace in S8 is now pretty much cemented. I'm an axe lover, but I forced myself to use the mace in S3, I can do it again.
Internet censorship coming to Poland.
I was born in communistic Poland. When I was 4 years old my country has gone through a huge system change, Solidarity lead by Lech Wałęsa won and we went from central planing to free market. I don't really remember times before system change, but my parents do, and they do remember how they had to stand in line for hours to buy simple stuff like toilet paper (sic!). Today I've a high end PC, I'm playing online games, studying IT and running my own company, and while Poland is still a developing country, we are chasing the west, in some cases maybe a bit too fast...
After the censorship drama in France, our so called "liberal" government decided it's high time to protect us from all those evil pedophiles and gambling (yes, gambling)! We already have new gambling law in place, which is so retarded and confusing, it already stopped some serious Poker tournament tours from appearing in Poland (while they obviously appear in all normal countries of EU), but that's just a tip of the iceberg.
New laws, which will prolly go live soon, include a complete ban on gambling in the Internet (making all online poker services illegal, unless they will be approved by minister of finances) and a Registry of Forbidden Websites and Services. What this means is that any website, by a decision of any judge, might be closed for us, and this is really frightening, as nowhere is it specified what content exactly can be blocked. The whole thing can also backfire pretty badly, as the registry is going to be public, so if you are a hidden pedophile and you either live abroad or your ISP doesn't block that bull****, here is a free listing of pedo-websites founded with our taxes, enjoy!

You are indeed right, edited now. Sometimes I just assume some words exists in all languages in the same meaning.

Time to make my HDD collection bigger before it I guess. But on a serious note, it isn't pedo-websites blocking that is the issue, it's the fact that they will be able to block anything.

gib PvP is >>>>>> nobody dies PvP altho ideally i'd like to have something in the middle. but seriously going to the healer extreme of things is just worst case scenario for pvp play.
and drain PvP is THE worst. these blizztards made drain play countering based on pillars, when half their PvP has no pillar counter to drain abilities. it was so f'iin dumb how priests could spam mana drain a class down to wanding, and the expectation here was to hide behind a pillar when there aren't always pillars. be consistent for christs sakes. nobody enjoys sitting there like an idiot with blacked out abilities because they got drained of the resources to even play their class.
just gonna say i disagree wholeheartedly.

they also need to nerf the hell out of high survival specs like prot-xxx classes before doubling their resilience factor.

Dunno about pallies, but prot warriors run with like 0 resilience atm.

P.S. It's sad that this kind of breaking topic isn't even covered on World of Ming anymore. Alas.

lmao yea sure jerkoff, you were soloing resto druids and lets be real along those same lines, only ones consistently top geared in this game ARE the losers with no life. think of the little people with lives where the skirmishes they get into take 20 of them to kill 1 overgeared loser with mad ego like yourself, that measures her life accomplishments according to WoW ratings.
btw good luck with CC and interrupts on resto druids pizza boy!

Not ganna lie, I enjoy wading into 10-20 alli as PROT BEATZ with a 10 stack of tenacity and watching HoTR generate 3 KB's per swing with perma, no cd reckoning proc'd. It's like harvesting wheat!

Yes.... I was soloing resto druids. That's the difference between a 1800 player and a 2300 player in BC: the 2300 player just killed the healer, the 1800 player whined on vent about how overpowered healing was.

back to healer raid bosses that stack resilience and don't die PvP until they run oom.
thx blizztards, i'll have to put /afk on a macro now. BC PvP was f'in AWFUL i can't believe we're headed back in that direction. i mean at least bring down healing to compensate for doubling survivability? isn't this common sense?

Right now, playing a healer is the most ******* retarded thing ever. Even if you're winning games, you feel like someone (or you) will die in the blink of an eye, because ON TOP OF VERY RIDICULOUS DAMAGE, ways to stop casting have only been improved, with little counters to that being applied (The only thing added was Aura mastery, and that's for a single healer. The other 3 just get screwed). oh, and I bet you're still in the down syndrome mentality that druids don't have to ever cast to outheal the stupid damage everyone is putting. LOL.
Healers like Priests and Shamans and even druids are being trained mercilessly and with the amount of damage and cooldowns that you can zerg to remain unpellable, it will often feel like your team couldn't do anything (because, you know, the enemy team was immune to most peels). If you really think that is an improvment from BC PvP, you're just bad.
I don't even remember that many matches that only ended when both teams were Oom in BC, and I played War Druid Lock back then. It was all about keeping pressure, making switches and doing it right, not picking a target, training it all game spamming cooldowns and overpower healing like right now.
The only issue that I can see with damage being tonned down further is double healer teams. Solution? Nerf healing ONLY if you have 2 healing specs in the same team. There, problem solved.

everybody here knows pvp right now is completely retarded with the new pve gear. nobody is arguing that, more than how retarded BC was on the opposite of the end of the spectrum to whats going on right now.
If it came down to 2 extremes tho i'll take gibs iin 3 globals over fights that don't end. most of you here have terrible memories as to what really went on in BC, and i guess never followed stuff outside of what happened to you considering there were lots of cases of matches going over 30 minutes, or fights never ending outside of arena because nobody could kill the healer(s). and just so you know you can't cc if there are multiples of healers who dispel off one another, and the only counter back then was MS for that situation. thats why these blizztards are retards with how they blinder focus on 3's that don't account for that situation as much but i digress....
look up the sl/sl lock vs resto druid Arena match that went over 18 hours while the lock was posting on General forums mocking the balance at the time then get back to me how great and awesome it was. its such a joke how some people here pretend that even drain play was fun, wtf is wrong with some of the people here!
and i swear to God if we could go back on Gameriot to those days every jerkoff here was rerolling resto druid pretending llike that was the l2play for the situation.

I couldn't care any less with an 1v1 with a healer could be endless. Really.
Healers get trained by 2-3 people that use ways to be unpeelable. For the game NOT to be a gib fest, they have to be able to heal through 2-3 people not using interrupts, maybe 2 even using interrupts. You know why? Because otherwise, it's Deathgrip Strangulate bladestorm insta kill all over again. Or Conc blow shield slam Chimera shot. Or -insert here combination of stun+ridiculous damage in 2 globals- that most "viable" teams of the present have.
And that's not fun, period.

i don't disagree and thats definitely a huge issue right now. there are just a lot of flaws with whichever approach they take depending on how each of us enjoys playing this game. to some of us its 3's/5's Arena, to others we just want fair chances against classes that target us in PvP, and not this expectation of full support perfect comp 3's that is the expectation in the blizztard balancing approach which isn't exactly realistic to their game.

They absolutely shouldn't be able to heal through that. If a team jumps on one target, that is low on hp, and blow their cooldowns, it should die. The problem in WotLK is that you can jump on a target that's 100%, blow your cooldowns and kill it. More HP in cata should be a right solution for that.

Sorta my point. People don't need to be unkillable, just hard enough to kill that it requires you to use your cooldowns and CCs and interrupts and stuns and good know what else WISELY to score a kill, not just use everything off the bat and slaughter someone.

one thign for sure, if they reduce dmg or healing or increase hp to make pvp skirmish longer, they will need to buff mana , especially dps spec... or give regen equivalent to healers on their gear without affecting other primary stats...
i think its what they want to achieve with cataclysm ....
playing a mage it was very frustrating to see that it took them ******* 2-3 years to bring down the mana cost of BW and DB..
i was advocating this change since arena started as a fire mage... and it was ******* obvious , its stupid to make spell mana cost arount their cast time or how many number mobs you could hit... ******* design flaw especially if you compare to rage/energy/runic and soon focus....
if they had balanced mana cost around the damage the spell was doing to a single target instead this would have been less of a burden and we wouldnt have all these ****ty problem about mana regen, drain and longevity...

And it could have added more variation into pve, like using fireblast.
Also the way they did their formula about dmg vs casttime, which rendered scorch a ******* piece of junk since mid-tbc.... especially as there is no added utility unless you spec it.... vs the damage fireball does which is 3s specced....
they could have made everything scale proportionnaly without hurting the game
i understand why for examplke fireblast is not used or it is for the extra final burst at the expanse of mana... but overall it made their pve game ******* more boring
and talent spec were there just to give you an illusion of liberty in customization of your character because in the end you had no chocie to use a cookie cutter spec else you were gimped like ****...
i'm happy they are trying to fix this in cataclysm but its sad it took 3 years to see that hehehe

Woah, no wonder mages are considered the biggest whiners in the game. It's beyond me what kind of twisted logic made you go from resilience buff and potential healing debuff in PvP, to whining about fire mage dps in PvE. Not like I disagree with whatever you said or anything, just seriously mate, go outside and take a deep breath (and no, I'm not talking about onyxia here).

To get any prize from a company, that combany has to have a branch in Poland, which Blizzard does not, so we are banned from all WoW tournaments anyway.
