AoC = Carebear, lol@you guys

The AoC prison system, something designed to make greifing a little less severe, has been the hot topic of the AoC PvP forums.  Many people feel that by implementing such a system, Funcom is failing to fulfil their promise for a "hard core" PvP system.

If you don't know much about AoC, you might not know how the PvP system functions.  PvP in AoC is pretty much completely FFA.  You can kill pretty much anyone you can take on, even players much lower level than yourself.

Although most of AoC is based on an instancing system, and this helps out with the griefing (that and being able to choose your spawn location) Funcom sees the need to take a step further.  The prison system isn't anything new, and once implemented, it should prevent the spawm camping of lowbies by a much higher level.  But does this take a huge part of the FFA PvP out of AoC?

Of course going to prison where you would be forced to do whatever the Devs think up, wouldn't make for a very fun experience.  But honestly, it is all about how they decide to design it.  Personally, if you don't want to put up with PvP, roll on a PvE server and save everyone the trouble.

At this time, it is hard to tell what is a good idea.  There aren't many 80s on the servers, so once more people level griefing might become a huge issue.  At the moment, I can usually get away from a high level before they have the chance to kill me, but this might change in the future when more people get to 80.

DueFire, my second hand man who brings in the hits (kind of like the Jasi of Age of Clickers) is doing quite well for a noob.  And then we have the scrubs like Gib who insist on bringing me down (by sending Ming Naruto pron).

But it is alright.  It doesn't matter.  I've gotten almost 13k hits in not even 48 hours of real blogging.  Rage harder kids.

Don't worry though, if I win the tournament I will think about following Vir, the master blogger, and donating all of my winnings to charity.
