I would like to spend a little time addressing gaming stereotypes in WoW and in other genres in games. It's partly a response to some comments about how it's not possible to be "hip" in an "uncool" world.

Exodus Suspended
It really comes as no surprise that Exodus was caught red-handed today after an investigation by Blizzard and all participating raid members of their Alone in the Darkness kill were suspended for 72 hours and we can safely assume that they will all lose their achievements, titles, and mount gained from it all. Before World of Warcraft, the words which made the sentences of my childhood were written with the red ink of broken syringe needles punctuated with the frantic key presses of console games one generation behind.
