Opening night of the season, I was looking for a serious arena team and I got a message from Chumpjizzohn, hardly a fear inspiring name for a rogue and when he told me "let's do RMP with my mage", I was even less inspired. RMP with an alt? Really? But I figured I needed a safety net for the first a couple of weeks so I agreed. We finished 14-10 for the night, but one win was against Relentless Gladiator Zyzski's RMP, and they suffered DC's in a 3v2 easy win situation. Their mage Pigheaded came to our vent and started to harass us verbally because we . . . took the win at the very high team rating of 500ish after they DCed, but that didn't prevent my mage/priest from pulling off an amazing 2v3 win against a 2300 MMR destruction lock/frost mage/druid. So consider those two games really should have been losses, we were a .500 team. … More

In order to remain as respectful to my sources and those involved I have altered some names to keep their privacy. Trance, with colorful details added, briefly told the story of Vance "Serennia" Phuoc's adventures on the west coast. This entry will be wholly dedicated to expounding upon that story concerning the time between the middle of December and January where I had the pleasure of meeting the nice people who took him in along with the concurrent displeasure of trying to help someone who si… More

Essential WoW toolsI wanted to start this entry off with a quick list of tools everyone should know about. A lot of players will already be familiar with these and if you recognize the name you can safely skip over it, but there's a surprising amount of people that have never heard of any of these, so here's to hoping it helps at least a few! SnowfallKeyPressThis addon makes it so your spells are activated upon pres… More

ESL is holding it's Asian Continental WoW finals.... and I'm going to live blog the games. Having watched some of it yesterday with a lot of other sponsored North American players we generally agreed that the Taiwanese teams were simply not on the level of the Koreans and it really just made for generally uninteresting games. For the most part the teams seemed simply outclasses, but there were a few pretty interesting matches and today promises to be much more exciting as the Korean teams will… More

I posted a schedule for my blogs on "Best-in-Class", but I decided against posting them this week to mix up the content after Yog had posted his "Most Impressive" list. Your comments and feedback matter, and we'll be trying to change things up as much as possible. Expect those articles to come out in the near future. Ensidia is still the real World FirstTouching on the most popular news in the community, everyone that reads MMO-Champion has been informed that Ensidia received a 3-day ban for usin… More

3.3.2 is here and the new honor pieces were huge disappointments for me, 4-stats ring/neck/cape yet again when PVE equivalents now feature 5 stats plus a socket at item level 264. Thankfully the huge buff to resilience now makes it the best PVP stat at equal item budget after attack power, so all other slots are about as good as you can get outside of ICC hard mode. Shadowpanther did a fabulous job as usual, updating their PVP charts first day of the patch. While we can quibble over the details, their AEP ranking is solid enough if you are trying to decide which slot to upgrade first.… More

Healing Reduction In Arena Goes Live And ReactionNew patch, new season, new items and now a new arena change! It looks like Blizzard has decided to slip in a big change here just in time for season 8 arena and the patch today: Patch 3.3.2 is bringing about a change to the way healing functions in Arenas, Battlegrounds, and Wintergrasp. We have applied a debuff to all players in these zones which will decrease the effectiveness of all forms of healing by 10%. This includes heals from items such as… More

Best Players of 2009 Hello I am excited to be blogging for World of Ming. I hope you will like my blog. For those of you that do not know me, I am Yog, the warlock for TEAM FNATIC. I have been playing warlock since level 60 WoW. Sometimes I play other classes but this has stopped as of late because all of my characters have been permanently owned by Blizzard (I apologize to the readers I may have offended). I do not particularly enjoy playing WoW except for arenas, so that is the only area of t… More

Good-Bye Draek About two months ago, WoM let go of it's most popular/controversial writer because of his lack of communication and a steep decline in blog quality. Ming went through a selection process of trying to find a villain-esque writer to replace Serennia. I considered the position back then but the timing was not right, following in Vance's footsteps would hurt my pride for reasons dating back to when we played 5s in TBC with Zilea. Since I've started writing for WoM, I have attempted to c… More
