Note: Forgive me if this is somewhat short, I'm currently fighting off the Flu, which peaked my temp. at a pleasant 102.1F. I've written this in bits throughout the day in the short periods of time when I'm not passed out. A full team interview should come within the next couple of days.
~~~
Just as it seemed that BG9 might have been reaching a new peak of competition with the recent fueds between CLC and Shuttle*****, a new team comes out of nowhere to stir things up just a little bit more. Not only is this a relatively new team, but also almost all of the players are from outside BG's (mostly bg7) and unlike some teams (Merciless Glad ones at that), they've actually managed to be quite successful after transferring.
After initially transitioning over to BG9 this past tuesday, the players of "now wat mothafuka" have broken into the top 10 5v5 and taken down some of the best teams in the process. Currently they are hovering around the 2250 rating with a peak around 2260.
The team consists of all BG7 transfers, which if you recall from season 1, brought us teams like "the huks", and players like Brazetina/Qazdia, who came from Cho'gall. Currently, the players that transferred over and now make up the team are, Ely(Priest), Dejj(Paladin), Wigwamz(Warlock), Capstone(Mage), QTP(Warrior), and Reegs(Shaman).
According to the team so far, they have gone up against CLC, AG and Shuttle*****. When they played against CLC the first night, CLC was running Hunter/Lock for the majorty of the fights. From what I was told, they had an above 50% win rate, but once CLC switched to 2346, they pretty much "traded wins". As for playing AG, the first night they were beaten down pretty hard, but were able to redeem themselves tonight. Finally, they've ran into SC a total of three times, and unfortunately lost all 3 matches. Having only played 2 total days on BG9, I'd say it's a pretty good start. Thursday night seems to have also turned into the new "5's night", with CLC, Slackers, AG, Shuttle*****, and the new team all queuing up at the same time.
They've also made their mark in the 3v3 bracket as well. Apparently, celex (Dejj's alt), Ely, and Emolol have broken 2200 after 2 days as well. In the process, they went up against 2 Pandemic teams and did well against both.
Anyway, what good would all of this talk be without a little footage? Dejj was kind enough to do some frapsing for everyone, and while the quality is pretty poor, it still gives you a pretty good idea.
Video
Again, full team/member interview coming soon.
Unless you're referring to some character he had ages ago, Brazetina is from BG1.
Indeed. Only the guys in BG9 are enough gosu ninja rambo style uber played to achieve this remarcable thing. top 10 in BG9? C est imposible.
(its been allready hours and nowhere near to be found LEGENDARY INNACTIVE's comment:
"If not in BG9 it counts for nothing"
I Hope the best for the guys anyway even if they came to bg9 from other bg's.
..and guess what this new team is now?  "guys in BG9"
Inactive is still right.  This doesn't debunk the BG9 claim it fully supports it.  Unless for some reason they decide to transfer back to their home server I guess?
^^
the claim isn't that all the best pvp'ers are from bg9.  it's that most of the best have transfered there over the past three seasons - so now it has the highest concentration on quality teams.
people transfer to bg9, people quit wow, very rarely do people transfer away from bg9, so bg9 keeps up its concentration (how many of bg9's top 10 quit in s1? half?), every other bg fades.
VC was still bg9's biggest lost player concentration wise.
It was pretty amazing how much their team transformed in just 2 nights on bg9.
The first night we knew we were playing a decent transfer team but it felt nothing like a top10 team.
Tonight I think they made it clear they are here to compete :)
It's proof that to get better you need to play better teams and bg9 is the place to do that.
More like, reaching 2250 with zero real competition made them sloppy the first day. Then they stopped watching TV while playing.
Agree Memri, just like in CS if you pub all day long, you'll never become good.
