Dahis 7, 2700+ #1 War/Druid 2v2 BG9; Illegal Danish 3 Prelude

Thankfully, there's been a couple of impressive and entertaining video releases over the past two weeks that are always a nice addition to break up some of the more monotonous aspects of reading about the ups and downs of WoW. Today, Dahis 7 continues this trend with his most recent release that is sure to please all. Without a doubt, I feel that this is the best WotLK movie released yet.

The most impressive aspect that sets Dahis' videos above the rest - which is a continuation of an adaptation with his more recent movies - is that he has included commentary, which really helps to engage the viewer with the video, as well as prevent important moments from being overlooked. With the arguable increase in skill cap that warriors have received in the recent juggernaut patches, the ceiling for talented Warriors and opportunity for them to prove their talent as a player is now. However, the overall complexity of the class has also gone up, so the commentary is even more effective in that it allows Dahis to portray his strategies and intentions behind every action specifically. Never has the Warrior class had so many options in terms of target swapping and control over a wide area of the map. With more decisions, reaction time and ability to bring more utility to any team, I'm personally really excited to see the Warrior class grow (I actually started as a Warrior myself) Not to mention I think it's safe to say that we're all tired of cliche music at this point, and would take commentary any day.

Obviously controlling all of the new available options as a Warrior is definitely going to be more complicated than any other previous Warrior setup before, as well as more macro intensive, so I made sure to ask Dahis what his current macro setup is. He uses a focus charge macro religiously, but there are many valuable others as well. Check at the end of this portion of the article for the macros.

Being that Dahis is currently ranked # 1 in 2v2 on BG9 as Druid/Warrior, the information and strategies portrayed within this video are imperative for any aspiring player of either class to learn in a goal of making it to the top. While some opponents are only around the 2400 level and show some weaker play at times, the strategies implored generally apply to the same makeups of higher ratings. Even if you don't play Warrior or Druid, the information you can gain from watching this video is invaluable, especially if you're struggling with, or against the comp.

So far Dahis has gotten some criticism for his editing in regards to fragmenting fights and skipping past boring segments that have nothing going on, which I don't understand at all. I'm not sure why anyone would enjoy watching a 15 minute long fight with constant resets, and it's understandable that he only includes a couple of clips from fights in which resets are constant.

Allowing charge to be used in combat was one of Blizzards best decisions regarding Warrior balance, and even though it has been nerfed slightly since (or balanced depending on your perspective), it has really brought upon a lot more versatility and options to Warrior play. However, reducing the autocrit on ms to 25% arguably still pales in comparison to many OP abilities that are glaring problems relative to cleave teams. I wanted to see his perspective on this, and this was the response he gave me:

Dahis: The Juggernaut nerf is probably fine as long as they fix the Frost DK sigil and the current rage generation bug for Warriors. Also, the DK glove bonus pretty much makes up for it, as long as DK/Healer remains 30%+ of the 2v2 bracket FOR THE SECOND SEASON IN A ROW.

This article is all about videos, so I have to mention that Illegal Danish 3 is well on it's way towards a release. A 4 minute prelude to the video is scheduled for release around July 3rd, and I might be able to have it released even sooner exclusively on WoM. Apparently the predule is a frame-by-frame parody of the Starcraft 2 cinematic trailer, so obvious 3d work with 3dsmax, maya are some other 3d app is going to come into play here and it's clear that they're taking ID3 to a new level.

Many people have complained of the huge gaps between Illegal Danish releases, so they've opted to release smaller segments more frequently. Either way, look for the prelude here within the next couple of days.
