Relentless Strikes moved to subtlety tier 1, FIVE ranks for same effect as before! Â What hell? Â I thought it is supposed to be more "accessible"? Â Why so bloated? Â This is a HUGE nerf NOT a buff! Â Make it no more than 3 points please, similar to warrior tactical mastery! Â Allow us to gain 10 energy on a 5 point finisher by default!
New 31 Assassination Talent - Reduce the energy cost of all specials by 10, first six seconds out of stealth. Â Wrong tree? Â Hello? Â How often is an assassination rogue going to enter stealth? Â Did anyone get close in the contest? Â Isn't this supposed to be a subtlety talent? Â If you think you won please leave a comment, but I am very upset at a talent that does not fit the tree AT ALL. Â I guess it is a free 31 . . .Â

Assassination got a lot of small buffs. Â Master of poisoner now +3% crit chance against poisoned targets. Â Murder moved to a higher tier and +4% damage instead of 2%. Â Hunger for blood duration increased to 30 seconds should make the enrage effect MUCH easier to maintain as well, heck you can probably keep it up 100% of the times. Â 90 second untalented cloak also works wonders.
Combat got some very nice buffs. Â Nerves of Steel now reduce damage while stunned/feared by 30%. Â Mace specialization now reduces target armor by 15%, making it the best weapon spec (again). Â Unfair advantage gives you an extra mainhand attack whenever you dodge! Â Prey on the weak now applies to all attacks as opposed to just white attacks. Â It is looking better for PVP, but I still don't think anyone will arena with it.Â
Subtlety, where do I begin? Â Shadow dance now allows you to use your openers unstealthed for 10 seconds (except they have a cooldown of 2 seconds). You can no longer be hit out of it by DOTs, and you can use this ability directly on hunter flares. Â HOWEVER, does that mean we will lose the defensive/mobility benefits of four vanishes? Â That is a huge nerf on the ability if you ask me. Â I definitely prefer the old shadow dance. Â The new one will also require me to set up out-of-stealth hot keys for all my openers, it is ugly.
Mod/camou are both just 3 points each, opportunity and improved ambush are just 2 points each. Â That is a lot of points freed up for sub rogues! Â Hemo is now 30 energy (as predicted by the hokage) thanks to the tier 10 talent. Premeditation is also reduced to 20 second cooldown. Â Hemo is looking hot if you ask me, especially coupled with the new ghostly strike glyph.
At least the new level 75 ability is top notch. Â 15% more damage to any party member for 6 seconds is hot. Â With deep subtlety talent you can reduce its cooldown to 20 seconds. Â Except the -10 second cooldown comes at the cost of our old wrongfully accused. Â I think I prefer -50% damage taken whenever someone swap to me, over the cooldown reduction, thank you very much.Â
I am going with shadow dance if Blizzard gives four vanishes ON TOP of the ability to do your openers out of stealth. Otherwise I have to play mutilate. Â Blizzard, do you have any idea what made shadow dance strong? Â It is not just the damage, it is the fact you were very hard to kill and even harder to CC during the dance that made it our ultimate move! Â Making shadowstep unusable while rooted is also a very low blow. Â You basically took away a shadow dance rogue's anti-mage game.
North American Regionals
Still, at least one of these three teams listed above will fail to make the global finals, and while it is a close call, assuming all three teams bring their full rosters, I am picking Azael's team to NOT make the global finals. Â Despite public denials, the fact that Azael played with Hafu's Fnatic at ESL still doesn't sit well with his teammates Spoh and Zyz. Â There is going to be some frictions in their chemistry, and offline play is all about the highest possible morale. Â I also feel tournaments shifted from countercomping to having the strongest possible lineup (with at most one backup comp), and I don't know if Team EG really has a main comp that they can bet the farm on when the chips are down.
What about the rest of the cast? Â Hoodrych hasn't played in a while and Didy is a full tier below Glickz as seen in MLG Orlando matches. Â Kollectiv left Mazud & company (or "kicked" as Mazud would put it) and I doubt they will have any momentum. Â Having said that, Rhaegyn did not participate in the last ESL tournament, and I am concerned about his playing shape. Â Given the strength of warrior/lock/druid, and how Hafu/Glickz with a second hand warrior finished 3rd place on foreign soil, one controversial disconnect away from the grand finals, if they are healthy (Hafu-chan's monthly window of vulnerability is always the x-factor), they are taking this tournament.
On a side note, I am very disappointed about how little attention Blizzard has given its own tournament. Â I still can't find a stream anywhere yet for this upcoming weekend's live blog. Â The Korean regionals ended 72 hours ago, and there is still no results on Blizzard's arena page. Â They are putting in more money than say, MLG by paying full travel expenses for their players, but what is up with the total lack of effort when it comes to presentations? Â Even an intern can keep the public informed.
Google Chrome Impressions
I am a huge fan of Google products and Chrome, even in beta status, felt very smooth. Â I can't tell you how many times I tried to look up someone's armory while putting up a blog, and the armory crashed my entire browser, wasting a ton of time. Â The fact each and every tab is in its own sand box is a tremendous feature for me, and very well worth the extra system resources.
Speaking of system resources, from the initial installation to auto-detect of browser version (I installed Chrome on three different machines already, each with a different browser), everything felt light and responsive. Â My Thinkpad only has one GB of ram, and it is still more agile than internet explorer. Â Google software engineers are the gladiators of programmers.
I like Firefox, but common sense tells me that a small shop can not keep up with mega corporations forever. Â There are still sites I can only open in IE, and it is really annoying that Mozilla still hasn't fixed incompatiability issues. Â Internet Explorer is always a part of the Windows OS so it is hard to compare it against stand alone products straight up. Google is the perfect company to take browsing into next generation. Â They are hungrier than Microsoft, and have way more ammo than Mozilla.

Try it, you are going to like the way you browse, I guarantee it.
A Lesson For The Hokage
When my career as a pro gamer I meant day trader (they are actually very similar) ended in 2003, I had a very hard time getting back into RL. Â I took a sales job for 35K a year base, even with quarterly bonuses it was a huge step down from my day trading days. Â It felt like minimum wage to me.
To make it worse, I really felt some of the senior guys on my team had no clue what they were doing! Â Maybe it was because they were there for too long and got lazy? Maybe it is because I was more talented than them to begin with?Maybe because I was too shortsighted to see the dirty work they did for the company? Â In any case, I performed extremely well during my first three months, everyone acknowledged my talents, I already received higher level responsibilities than these who started with me, but I wasn't happy with my role. Â
I wanted a more lucrative offer, I walked up to my manager and completely forgot I was there for only three months. Â I questioned my teammates and reported negative comments from our clients. Â My manager said "If I took everything the clients said in face value, I would have quit a long time ago." I was frustrated that he wasn't giving me what I wanted, and said "maybe you should sometimes". Â Three days later I was fired from the job, I received a personal email from the owner of the company, who acknowledged my talents, but said he was sorry that I couldn't fit into a team environment.
Two years later, a friend at the company (who was nowhere near my performance at the time) moved into my apartment and became a roommate. Â I saw his paycheck one night on the coffee table, I couldn't believe how much the company grew, and how much he made.
A little patience goes a long way. Â We all have to pay our dues. Â Learn to hide the dagger even if you intend on backstabbing someone, it sounds like common sense, but it is funny how we forget it in the heat of the moment. Â I am handling things much better nowadays, getting a significant promotion in just a little over a year at the job. Â Because I understood no matter how valuable you are to the company, you can not make yourself an immediate threat to everyone around you. Â You have to put a smile on your face, and keep all the dark chakras inside.
That was the lesson I learned, and hopefully, you won't have to pay a hefty price in RL to learn it.

hard to believe you dont give the Yoggers their fair share of attention, the most versatile, star-studded team in the tournament. Of all players in WoW I'd root for Glick over anyone, but Yog is a close second
not to mention I'm pretty confident to say that they won't be losing any matchups besides WLD mirrors (which puts a question mark on the WLD-heavy American regionals for them, but bodes well for international play if they make it to that stage)
top4 predictions (top4 move on to international play right?) -
- Duelists
- Yoggers
- Fnatic
- Magical Muffinz (Mulch's team)
in that order. BELIEVE IT!

Taiwan sent a WLD, and I'd put all my money on Europe sending one to. I'm guessing there will be 3 WLD's at Blizzcon unless we see a Yog/Duelist Top 2 in Boston.

'a Yog/Duelist Top 2' would still essentially account for 3 total WLD's, I'd go so far as to say that the Yoggers main lineup is going to be WLD even though Rogue is probably Yog's best class.
The obvious biggest difference between them and any of the other WLD's is that they absolutely won't be losing any non-mirror matchups. We've seen the top-notch PMR teams, be it Duelists or sk.eu or CoM show that they're going to put WLD's to sleep at least a little over half the time, and the Yoggers won't be vulnerable to that.
